You forgot the mention one great thing… the game is dynamic. When you are playing away, the other team attacks more, when someone gets a red care, the environment change.. there is a balance where you are attacking more, than the other team attacks more once they suffer a goal, etc. it feels like a game. And by the way, when you play with a better player, it really makes a difference
another wonderful thing is the sider. you can put into the game all the real stadium, most of them are really good, and the chants of every team, all the national anthem, cardboards, every team real names and 2 or 3 uniform, and i'm sure i'm missing something. I'ts the closer experience of a football match imho.

Long rangers need full manual controls which means you'll need to learn how to manually shoot, which is the hardest part of fuma (second only to manual volleys). Check out all the long rangers in my "Top 10 PES Manual Goals" video!
I watched that, your goals were awesome! I'm still trying to learn manual shooting cuz with immersive broadcast camera I really struggle to get the hang of angles with long rangers. Currently, I tend to use assisted gameplay and then activate manual controls when the situation calls for it.
@@machetegaming I used to do that i.e. Play with manual passing but with assisted shooting for a while, as in my manual passing video. That's what I recommend, just switch to total manual passing, which is much easier to learn, then dip into manual shooting which will be a painful 2 months but totally worth it.
Ive just fired up Pes 21 with V3 option file. It still brings me joy this game. The game has sole. I got myself a copy of fc25, and with all its bells n whistles, the gameplay is soulless. However, i will admit, the gameplay has improved. I dont think ive ever continued to play any game for 5 years.
Few things bother me about PES 2021: 1 - The weight of the ball is strange, it is very slow and seems to float in aerial plays 2 - The animations and movements are not as fluid as they should be 3 - The placed or controlled kick button (R2) is not efficient, the animation is not good, the movement is slow and with little impact on the ball Still, it is the best and most complete soccer game ever created.

I've put over 1000 hours into pes 2021. It's the true successor to the great pes 5 and 6. The glorious thing is there are lots of gameplay patches that make it feel fresh.
Before even watching i knew right away from the title you were talking about PES 21. I remember doing Messi career mode over and over because it felt so real. Idk how to explain it but the way it running, passing or shooting with Messi felt the way it looked IRL 😂 the best football simulation game
If you take a finesse shot with lots of power outside of the box,it usually flies like "blitz curler" in efootball. Konami removed it from efootball to add it as a player skill on exclusive cards,which is an awful thing to do. Greedy.
Unfortunately modded and unmodded pes games since 14 feel like you're playing a totally different game. Personally I loved the pes series till 14 but then, while I still played it with every FIFA cause they complete each other for me, FIFA feels better with all its flaws. If you could bring mods to consoles tho...
My problem with Football Life is that the AI either can't intercept anything,or it absolutely destroys you when you turn the difficulty up. Also,I think there are not enough off-the pitch features. I also think that players like Chiesa,Mbappe,Vinicius,Leão and other fast players should feel faster in the game,because they feel really slow and not agile at all. I like the game but decided to delete it,I made a backup of my face files though,if I ever want to play it again.
yes but you can't compare ultimate team (or MyClub) arcade gameplay (based on mixed team with playstyle, chemistry style card, boosted promo card, etc..) with a gameplay based on club teams.. there'a s huge difference

I'll do my best to describe things clearly. It was confusing for me at the start, too, so fully understand! PES21 is no longer available on Steam. PES Smoke Patch is a standalone version of the game, which you can get for free by following the link in video's description (sometimes people call it Smoke Patch, sometimes Football Life). Then to get enhanced gameplay and all other juice, you need to download Megapatch 2.3 (link also in video's description) Bear in mind that, they just (few hours ago) released Football Life 25 - like the newest version with current teams etc. This one however does not have this Megapatch (until late November at least), so its probably a bit more bare bone in terms of little details and has different gameplay patch than what I am discussing in this video. Personally I would still download FL24 with Megapatch 2.3 and then switch by the end of the year when they release Megapatch for the latest version FL25. Hope that helps! PES 4,5,6, etc, were not realistic games. Their whole gameplay was very fast paced, and had a very simple gameplay, easy to handle. Even faster than EA FC nowadays. I am rediscovering it cause I am playing them on my Steam Deck. And it was a good thing, arcade football games were always more fun to play, (almost) nobody wants a pure real simulation. If you'd want a real simulation you'd need to have a 90 minutes game, with very slow pace, otherwaise it simply cannot be realistic in 10 minutes of gameplay. Not sure a lot of people would like that (even if there are always exceptions). Old PES games were great because they were addictive, and very direct, you were constantly switching between attack / defense. And it was really well balanced too. I think the 8 directions only were facilitating the job of the developers. The AI was quite enjoyable and reacted as a human would. Every goal was different. Nowadays in football games, all the goals are pretty much the same (even in this PES 2021 game) and it really kills the fun for me. I hope someone (maybe an indie dev) would resuscitate the old PES gameplay.
i am downloading it rn. For past 2 weeks i tried EAFC 25 through EA play pro and all it gave me was rage and stress. Game is unplayble and very unbalanced. Idk why i moved from Football Life in the 1st place. Game is fantastic. Probablly missing UI improvements and menu improvements and that was maybe why i moved on from it. Rn now i am psysichally and mentally drained from 2 weeks of EAFC 25 so i am not coming back to EAFC 🤣🤣🤣
Im not a fan of those face scans! they look really ugly and like skin walkers, meanwhile in games like 2k25 facescans look amazing and realistic, I always wondered why pes, FIFA, and modders cant seem to accurately even try to make faces for at least the best players. I know this mod probably makes playing football enjoyable like a real match but those faces are immersion breaking, I don't wanna score a banger and then look at the baked and stretch face of the player. its been a couple years since I played the fifer moded version of FIFA and I'm disappointed in how little we progressed in that department!
I'm on season nine in the Master League, hope to reach and finish the 10th, but i'm also downloading FL25. Smokepatch guys are awesome. The gameplay is a masterpiece. I've tried SP on pes2021 and I never went back. Simply amazing.
That defo doesn't happen with this patch. CPU attacks are quite varied and the style of their attack depends on the team you're facing and the openings that your defense presents to the computer.
I hated that glitch when I was still playing the original pes21, However since I've been playing the modded version, I've never seen it, It's like it was removed completely from the game and I dont know how, the modding community are really a blessing
I did not put entire legends teams per se. There is "classic teams" league in edit mode which contains a lot of past iconic players. And so I transfered few legends from there to respective current teams to spice things up.
Are you talking about vanilla PES21? If so, I agree! This megapatch tho changes stuff. CPU is way more dynamic and smart. Uses more gaps in your defense and adapts rather than going through the same motions

Thanks, I am glad you've enjoyed! 1. The gameplay here with megapatch is different than in PES 2021 original version. 2. I personally like more FL + Megapatch, but Virtua Red is also a very good. Its all about preferences, so I think it's best to try and judge for yourself.

True, you can't mod it on consoles. But PES21 is really not that demanding video game. You can get it to run comfortably on, by todays standards, lower-end PCs.
fifa with gameplay mods is miles better and more realistic. i play football games since FIFA 98. played every winning eleven,every pes, and ofc every FIFA loved winning eleven 06, loved pes 2013, but after that FIFA has been dominating both in gameplay and in graphics, net physics, player faces, presentation, crowd. also you have been constantly comparing moded pes to unmoded FIFA ,which was simply unfair, and the only video of FIFA you showed was zoomed in making it look worst as possible. with mods you can make FIFA be incredible realistic and not arcade at all. with slow physics gameplay that pas does not have. the physics in pes are not it. anyways, great video, really enjoyed it. I might give this a try because how good you did your video
Absolutely delusional. FC is getting better but with its current engine the player movement is so broken that it stands no chance of competing with any konami football game. The ball physics are also generations behind. Slowing the game down doesn't automatically make it more realistic.
I am glad you enjoyed the video! I think you should give this version of PES a try before judging whether Fifa is better. I played EA FC with Anth's mods before and also thought that it's realistic in the past (first footage of EA FC in the video is actually with Anth's mod, it's short tho). Modded EA FC is defo much better game than vanilla! But after trying this iteration of PES21, I just cannot get back to EA FC anymore... Comparing to tennis games: EA FC is the Topspin/Tiebreak of football games; modded PES 21 is the Tennis Elbow 4/Full Ace but with proper modern graphics.

@@hmp01 I've been playing fifa 19 for 4 years since 2020, it's THE best fifa game for me, I know that's an unpopular opinion, fifa 18 feels too easy and unpolished version of 19 even with legendary...after mastering the game, I tried fifa 23 for the world cup in in 2023, gameplay was too different and legendary was too broken, yet world class too easy, so I went to fifa 22, little bit better but same issue, maybe if I had put more time I could have been better but I started pes 2021 after having played pes 17/18/19 alongside fifa19 but sparingly compared to fifa...now I'm used to pes, even fifa19 is inferior in my honest opinion...it's so arcadey...I share the same issues you have stiff movements, but overall experience for me is that Pes 2021 SP modpack is the closest to a simulation if only they(KONAMI) took time and polished the flaws because it has them....I'm not saying this to argue, I understand we have difference experience...just like majority of fans say fifa 18 was last of the best and fifa 19 beginning of the worST and I can never agree with that
PES was awful after PES 2013 when they switched to the FOX. PES 2021 is a terrible football game. Completely on rails. Scripted locked animations. Robotic play. I'm not a fan on FIFA/EAFC but PES after 2013 was a disgrace. You can still get a modded PES 6 or PES 2013 which are still fantastic to this day.
New PES games are so easy to play. Yes it's fun to hit cross field balls, chip through balls and shots from every angle. But there is no risk reward with the gameplay. No player id. I don't even rate 13. Pes died with PS2. Luckily my PS2 lives on and I play classic Pes everyday 😊 enjoy 19, 20, 21. They are not bad football games; in fact they are good but they are not Pes.

On pure game no mod, I prefer PES 2018 or FIFA 16.
2021 modded has turned into a great game. Vanilla version, I much preferred PES 2017.

Do you have the 1 pair 2 color puma tricks boots ( pink & blue) i just need the files to put them in my boot-root folder.
Unfortunately you cant control sprinting speeds with the trigger and that makes the game unplayable

That defo doesn't happen with this patch.
CPU attacks are quite varied and the style of their attack depends on the team you're facing and the openings that your defense presents to the computer.
I hated that glitch when I was still playing the original pes21,
However since I've been playing the modded version, I've never seen it,
It's like it was removed completely from the game and I dont know how, the modding community are really a blessing

How were you able to put legends teams in Football Life? I tought its database was blocked
I did not put entire legends teams per se. There is "classic teams" league in edit mode which contains a lot of past iconic players. And so I transfered few legends from there to respective current teams to spice things up.
Megapatch is great but i had to uninstall it due to my hdd being nearly full and the game being a whopping 70gb

I don't agree, AI in pes21 is 3x worse than in Ea Fc 25. Every match in pes21 feels the same.

This megapatch tho changes stuff. CPU is way more dynamic and smart. Uses more gaps in your defense and adapts rather than going through the same motions

2. I personally like more FL + Megapatch, but Virtua Red is also a very good. Its all about preferences, so I think it's best to try and judge for yourself.

Yes, it's PC only as far as I know. The game runs well on even older hardware since it's basically 5 years old game at this point.

True, you can't mod it on consoles. But PES21 is really not that demanding video game. You can get it to run comfortably on, by todays standards, lower-end PCs.

fifa with gameplay mods is miles better and more realistic. i play football games since FIFA 98. played every winning eleven,every pes, and ofc every FIFA
loved winning eleven 06, loved pes 2013, but after that FIFA has been dominating both in gameplay and in graphics, net physics, player faces, presentation, crowd.
also you have been constantly comparing moded pes to unmoded FIFA ,which was simply unfair, and the only video of FIFA you showed was zoomed in making it look worst as possible.
with mods you can make FIFA be incredible realistic and not arcade at all. with slow physics gameplay that pas does not have. the physics in pes are not it.

Absolutely delusional. FC is getting better but with its current engine the player movement is so broken that it stands no chance of competing with any konami football game. The ball physics are also generations behind. Slowing the game down doesn't automatically make it more realistic.

I think you should give this version of PES a try before judging whether Fifa is better. I played EA FC with Anth's mods before and also thought that it's realistic in the past (first footage of EA FC in the video is actually with Anth's mod, it's short tho).
Modded EA FC is defo much better game than vanilla!
But after trying this iteration of PES21, I just cannot get back to EA FC anymore...
Comparing to tennis games: EA FC is the Topspin/Tiebreak of football games; modded PES 21 is the Tennis Elbow 4/Full Ace but with proper modern graphics.

I play sim games all the time, assetto cosra, shooting sims, sports sims, driving sims, you name it. I don't think this game is anywhere near the level of fc with anths gameplay mods :)

i got no problem playing older games, I am playing NBA 2k16 at this very moment. just because of the ball physics, so please don't talk to me about physics, it is the thing that is the most important to me in every game.
also to be honest, I stopped playing football games 4 years ago. I just now tried fc 24 with anths gameplay mods, and its better than anything pes ever did. also I never said that just slowing the game down makes it more realistic, please do not be intellectually dishonest.I understand that, just like making the song louder does not make it better :)
@@hmp01 I've been playing fifa 19 for 4 years since 2020, it's THE best fifa game for me, I know that's an unpopular opinion, fifa 18 feels too easy and unpolished version of 19 even with legendary...after mastering the game, I tried fifa 23 for the world cup in in 2023, gameplay was too different and legendary was too broken, yet world class too easy, so I went to fifa 22, little bit better but same issue, maybe if I had put more time I could have been better but I started pes 2021 after having played pes 17/18/19 alongside fifa19 but sparingly compared to fifa...now I'm used to pes, even fifa19 is inferior in my honest opinion...it's so arcadey...I share the same issues you have stiff movements, but overall experience for me is that Pes 2021 SP modpack is the closest to a simulation if only they(KONAMI) took time and polished the flaws because it has them....I'm not saying this to argue, I understand we have difference experience...just like majority of fans say fifa 18 was last of the best and fifa 19 beginning of the worST and I can never agree with that

PES was awful after PES 2013 when they switched to the FOX. PES 2021 is a terrible football game. Completely on rails. Scripted locked animations. Robotic play. I'm not a fan on FIFA/EAFC but PES after 2013 was a disgrace. You can still get a modded PES 6 or PES 2013 which are still fantastic to this day.
I personally really prefer Pes 21 and 19 to all the older Pes.
New PES games are so easy to play. Yes it's fun to hit cross field balls, chip through balls and shots from every angle. But there is no risk reward with the gameplay. No player id. I don't even rate 13. Pes died with PS2. Luckily my PS2 lives on and I play classic Pes everyday 😊 enjoy 19, 20, 21. They are not bad football games; in fact they are good but they are not Pes.
