My question was if I drop the idea of DG set altogether and opt for a off grid as power source what size/capacity off grid system should I opt for to service this load of 225KW
Sir when you go for your factory at least one reliable power source is very very important because when you install an offgrid you can run your online grid system but the challenge is suppose you want to run 250 Kw load at your factory but due to non availability of irradiation your offgrid as well as your ongrid system is not capable to give you that much power in that case your system will trip and this is very common. That’s why we told at least one reliable source

In that case a 6 KW off grid system as a power source to supply a 50 KW grid connected system a continuous power to eliminate a DG set. will also not work if all of a sudden irradiance disappears and the complete load of 50 KW grid connected system gets shifted to the 6 KW off grid system In my case the load is 225KVA, grid connected solar system is 300 KW and to give continuous power to the inverter a 250 KVA DG set is planned. I already ordered an ongrid system but after the system arrived my vendor said that it's useless when the grid is offline. I live in town and my main reason was that I experience power outages, i already spent so much money on it and now i am being informed that it's useless, please tell me how can I utilise it when grid is offline,I asked them and they said that they will connect a changeover on the DC power generated by my solar panels and in case of an outrage i can simply route the DC from my panels directly to my battery pack through a solar inverter ( instead of going to grid side inverter). It's true and I have talked to them they will soon launch sunlight backup in the future for IQ 8 series of inverter then only you can use solar power in the day even when grid power is cut. You will also required system controller that they will launch in future.

We will divide the load in such a manner so that we can get the minimum load on each phase
Also we will set if load value is more then the offgrid capacity we will trip offgrid.
