Dr Sten Ekberg have you seen this new video about most Vegetables are bad for you 🙂 if you want to watch the video you can type Vegetables are literally a scam. here on yt 😊 i don't know if it is somewhat true but i think it would be cool to talk about there is also other videos on the channel that seem interesting like the The Obesity Conspiracy that says vegetables makes you obese 😅

Since I began intermittent fasting, usually I have a yogurt smoothie, with a portion of blueberries or strawberries, water, vanilla and cinnamon. I have my big meal to end the day (window of noon till 6 p.m.). It works for me, and some days, I don't get hungry before 4 or 5 p.m, and skip the smoothie. Almost forgot, my lifesaver, home-brewed ginger tea w/ lemon grass & thyme, which I love, and it helped to heal my gut that was damaged by NSAIDs many years ago.

Thank you for providing practical information for diabetics. You help me feel I can take control of this disease. The medical practitioners I have encountered still only push medication. You r videos encourage me to push back, ask more questions and do something! My father’s doctor told me that I knew more about diabetes than he did. That was almost 20 years ago when I knew nothing. Not reassuring words as my father lay dying….. so think you for all that you do.

Absolutely you can control type 2 diabetes without meds! T2D is totally self-inflicted, by your lifestyle, so reverse it by better lifestyle. Stop eating all those carbs and get off the couch. Meds give you false peace, they do not reverse diabetes. Do the right thing instead. Choices matter.

Don't be too hard on the doctors. Legislation dictates that when a patient comes with a particular concern give this treatment, etc. Also their files get audited and prescriptions issued. It's the legislature that is at the root of it all. All the best with your recovery.

interesting about turmeric's antioxidants not being absorbed that well. Michael Plumstead recommended using turmeric, ginger and cayenne to help with diabetes and I have used it. But not always with the black pepper to increase absorption, so I guess that's why my knees do hurt a little bit but nothing like they did. It's all a mystery, thanks to Stan for laying it out for us. I use hibiscus tea, green tea, tulsi/lemongrass tea with monkfruit to drink during the day. also True Citrus drinks but they do have 1 g of sugar. I only recently learned to like coffee in the morning (I was a dedicated soda drinker!).

I've never felt better physically and most importantly mentally, since I've always had spikes of highs and lows with traditional carbs diets. now my blood sugar has never been more in control thus helping with my continuous focus. I inject now 70% less insulin than I used to, and my acid reflux has completely gone.

I had a friend who also did the same. She made every one of those hideous desserts that consist of pretty much anything mixed with a tub of Cool Whip and she'd eat most of it by herself. She bought and consumed zillions of Captain Crunch cereal and ate it for breakfast and snacks. She consumed copious amounts of Coke (the sugary beverage) and made endless batches of Rice Krispie treats "for the kids 😉). And so forth. Everything was full of carbs and high in sugar.

Yes I love water the most too. When I am thirsty I want nothing else but ice cold water. There is nothing on earth or in space like it. Isn’t it ? It’s so delicious although it has no taste. It’s perfectly made for our bodies. We have so much water in our blood and tissue so we need plenty of it in pure form. If it wasn’t for water there would be no life on earth, it gives life to all creation.

Recently I watched a video from another Doc in RUclips saying that to put cooked rice in refrigerator for 12 hours and then start to eat the rice will lower its glycemic index dramatically. Do you think it is a true assessment? . . . It has been 8 years since I stopped eating rice due to its glycemic index, but I miss it dearly.

Dear Dr. Ekberg, would you have any suggestions for me. I was just diagnosed with ocular Myasthenia Gravis from my PCP through her examination and by my bloodwork.
I am having my first neurologist appointment on December 20th.
Thank you for your help, Alan (Alpharetta, GA)

Green tea with coconut milk and a few drops of stevia. It does the trick.

Excellent Video, many thanks Dr. Ekberg!
May I add a somehow exotic POTENTIAL candidate, potential because I do not know if it qualifies as such in the sense of this video.
We have here in Germany something called „Brottrunk“ translated it would lok like „bread drink“ , it is a high quality fermented cereal-based product with living bacteria. Taking it cool from the fridge with some 50/50 spark water it might be also a viable alternative?

Every few days make up a fresh glass pitcher of water. Add real lemon 🍋. Berries. Cucumber 🥒. Mix it up depending on the season. No sweetener! 😋😊

Good morning Dr. I’m currently drinking two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and half teaspoons of cayenne pepper with about 8 ounces of water every morning and at night before bed… is this too much? Should I only have one serving in the morning? I’m using this along with intermittent fasting and low carb diet to help reverse my pre diabetes.

As I understand it, it must be Ceylon cinnamon in order to affect blood sugar, but I also understand that to do so the dosage would be so high that no one would consume that much. And turmeric is too high in oxalates for me to consider it.
