I had seen this car in Goa.Its looks bigger than punch somewhere like magnite but bit small overall it's good looking car and I like how Citroen not claiming it as Suv like other
In terms of features punch makes more sensible to buy but in terms of engine specs especially turbo petrol engine Citroen C3 makes more sensible to buy that's it ðŸ‘

But at 8 lakh u can go for other better options it's true u will get base model but upgrading to new platform is worth like Nexon , brezza etc..

I took test drive of Citroen C3 this Friday.
It's engine is powerful, superb handling. Decent feedback of steering. Road grip is good. Even suspension is good not too stiff not too soft hence body roll is not there. comfort is super amazing. Great under thigh support. Rear seats are also soft and spacious. Largest legroom in segment. Not much high fi features but good package and value for money.
Those who are having Citroen dealership and service in their city and who don't go on long trips of more than 300-400km can definitely go for this car.,
every extremely basic and useful feature you would expect even in a 10 year car is missing here
what is the mileage on road City? is it as claimed around 19kmpl?

All the features of punch you mentioned are either available in top or second top model which is 1 to 2 lakh costlier than C3. If we compare C3 top model with punch 2nd base (which are similar in price point) we can clearly see that they offer almost same features where punch gets the lead with very few more features but on the other hand c3 provide better ride quality

@Himanshu, Your analysis is spot on. I also think same. Citroen C3 provides advances comfort. The potholes in city road are not felt atall. No dout, punch is also good, but in city, potholes and bumps are still felt.

C3 is a beautiful car. Even if it not a top seller, some people will buy it just to be different from others. It is not comparable to Punch which is a micro SUV and competes against non-turbo versions of Magnite, Kiger and Venue. The real competitors of C3 are Espresso, Kwid, Tiago and Celerio and we have to admit that C3 is the best looking of the lot.
On paper C3 is has more powerful engine spec - 110 vs 84 bhp, 190 vs 110 Nm, has 100 mm more length and wheelbase, almost exactly same ground clearance... Its true that Punch cannot be compared with C3... At least on paper it's way better than punch...
Let's face it, we like tata because it's an Indian company and we want their cars to be good... Not because they ARE! 😂

If we bought punch base and c3 base model than which one is better option?
It's a new company in market so we shouldn't expect quality aftersales service. If they can provide service at your doorstep and roadside assistance then too it's ok. But they should give all feature laden car too with automatic transmission option. Price might rise agreed but if the product is good it makes sense to go for the best and not only base model of other price bracket car. Don't know why they brought a car without projector headlamp or other stuff in the market. Rest need to check in person before coming out with any conclusion. We need antiglare stuff in rear view mirror and with autodimming feature, fog lamps with cornering feature, Traction control, ESP, Rear Camera with sensors and other basic safety features need to be covered first. Better if they gave 1.4 Ltr 4 cylinder engine rather than Turbo bcz that would make more sense for CNG. We should have option to run on CNG or petrol nowadays. Turbo doesn't gives that much bcz haven't witnessed any car with CNG variant yet having Turbo engine. Better to have a more powerful naturally aspirated engine as an option if one wants more mileage and good performance even on CNG. Better they give good finishing and fitting too. Not only cheap cars. Looks extremely good and I don't think Kiger or Magnite can beat it in looks. Actually I will rate it above Swift or Punch in looks. Features are missing. We want everything and if purchasing a car from a new company in market then forget about resale value. Just focus on running it for the next 15 years or so if don't change vehicle frequently. After that resale value of every car is almost same. If build quality is poor with less performance engine then people gonna look for resale value first bcz they will exchange or dispose off their vehicles after initial 5 years. They are new enterants in the market and their first product wasn't bad. Rest we need to give them a chance. Since it's a French company I think it will give a descent car. Wanna see the top model with a good music system and 1.4 ltr 4 cylinder engine too in it. Doesn't matters if price increases. They should focus on quality and not merely stuck with competion giving what on that price point. Maybe it can make them bit expensive than others but people gonna purchase it too if they like the product. Better to make a good product that gives lasting impression rather than trying to woo public with less price only. It still seems behind punch for now with features. Agreed features can be added later but not every feature.
Let's wait they might release a different variant later with all the essential features as company fitted and with CNG option. 😇
Citron got late in preparation. Before the launch of Punch, it could have got some interests. But now it's too difficult to challenge punch.

yeah engines of mahindra especially the mhawk diesel is very reliable as some of my knowns own old safari i would say that the dicor is much more premium than scorpio but its engine sound like a tractor and it’s maintainence is extremely high

You can find thousands of videos showing how premium XUV 700 has issues during random startups, electronics not working, poor support, sunroof exploding during summers, etc. Even Toyota has recalled millions of cars worldwide over the years due to poor engine reliability issues and so called "niggles". I've driven my Vista more than 1.5 lakh kms now with rarely any issues whatsoever. Cabin still feels strudy( no rattling noise, no engine issues, no body corrosion). I do believe that Indian people are very lazy when it comes to car servicing that too at proper service centres and any car need regular maintenance to run flawlessly. Today, they are 3rd largest car manufacturer with more car portfolio than any other Indian car brand(MS is now Suzuki as per shares). If theit cars were so much unreliable, won't their sales be affected?? Then again, you coulnn't counter my question.

For people who just want a good car at a good price range, Citroen can be a good option. It is okay to not have rain sensing wipers, puddle lamps, LED lights and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
They can give feature pack later. That's not a problem but what about autodimming IRVM, ESP, Traction Contol, Fog lamps with cornering or Projector headlamps. We need one variant covering basic safety stuff too with Reverse Parking Camera and sensors
Tata punch mein features diya hai but uska quality poora downgrade hai, long Lasting gaadi nhi hai warranty ke baad poora pocket pe bhaari gaadi hai, koi bhi Tata ki gaadi showroom pe hi pada hua hai jaake service center pe dekho gaadiyon ka lamba line hai ,2 months pe fault aa jaate hain. Tata matt lena kabhi bahut pareshan ho jaoge.

C3 is budget segment car... mostly people with limited budget will buy car of this price range. And you expect them to experiment with new launched brand with so less service centre and almost no resale value.... with all these drawbacks you expect support.... good luck to your thinking.

Citroen make good cars , European cars have better handling and good build quality and if any cars have more features it will need high maintenance. C3 is good looking daily driving car with good mileage it have decent features.
Don't compare europian models to indian variants. Cars sold outside of india are always better than the variants sold here due to overtaxing by indian government.
Take the example of toyata cars sold here and cars sold outside of india

Jabki Jaipur me cars ki demand Kolkata se bhi jada h aur wahi gurgaon ki population 20 lakh se bhi kum h fer bhi Citroen ka showroom waha h.

Build quality also matters , where Punch is an 5 star rated car but C3 aircross is not tested . There is very limited service centers in whole India , so if someone buy this car then it must be a risk for the customers because there is no guarantee that he will get good aftersell services

If you have punch, you will feel lack of Power issue specially during overtake and in hilly area. Quite disappointing part of Tata cars due to 3 cylindrical engine. Tata must improve this asap.
