His AR is great at targeting flyers or long ranged targets and his shotgun is great at the frontline or peeling for your supports thats getting dove by a venom or spiderman. If anyone tries to escape from a failed dive then you can just switch to the AR and finish them off as well. I'm just saying it's underutilized is all
thank you for using the word "situational awareness". I swear people don't understand this enough I hate the word "game sense", they think "game sense" is some magical sense, no it means situational awareness. You recognize a situation, and you need to be aware of what that means of your surrounding.
Game sense for me is a catch-all term for not only situational awareness but also your combined experience in the game which would affect your decision making. But yeah, it is a nebulous term, all things considered.
7:05 that's what playing tank is all about, some good psychological warfare. Love walking up to the enemy team as Groot like I'm about to ult and just don't lol.
4:10 always play line of sight that benefits your team. This choke point is good for your team to close off space and LOS from the enemy. As long as someone can maintain the height beside you it will work.
I would argue that iron fist, spidey and magik players are usually the worst you can get. It's most of the time auto-lose if they are not switching any point and just die trying.
I did this, and enemy team shredded me in 0.3 seconds at the start... I tried to contest over and over again waiting for my team, trying to work around them, they steamrolled us...
this doesn't work at lower ranks, he even did videos named "trying to carry in silver gold etc..". in lower ranks you don't get healed your team is stupid and dies before you and doesn't output enough pressure. My advice is to switch up your strategy depending on what quality of team you have, and sometimes you have a bad team and are bound to lose.
You probably shouldn’t have tried contesting without your team. The few seconds you hold the point for whilst they shred you down in a 1v6 usually isn’t worth it.
4:08 my guess why you stopped the cart is cause this is a juicy checkpoint to choke the enemy into... yay i was right, but your reasons why so is very insightful! love your videos, dont even play hulk, but many of your advice is just really good game sense wise
I’ve been watching your gameplays- and I’ve been implementing your playstyle with mine. Got 30 kills as hulk on Payload. It was fun as hell, keep up the videos bro
2-2-2 is def the meta, 1beefy tank (think hulk/venom) and one utility tank (magneto/strange), 1 ranged dps and one meelee dps, 2 healers, preferably one with a supportive ult
This is not high rank. It doesn't even have bans. I mean the tips are good and all but don't try to sell this as a high ranked game as it states in the description. I mean I'm plat-diamond and I don't concider myself "high ranked". This is good beginner tips to climb out of the metal ranks but don't try to make this out to be more than it is.
This is incredible information! I've been wanting to play tank more but never really understood how people survive so long or how they create space. But this give me a lot of insight to the mind of high rank tanks!
Wow this is a first, I got into a game with you the other day and thought we were playing very in sync. I actually mistook your name for coach mills and looked you up. When I play cap this is almost exactly the same play style I use, this is the first very educational content I’ve found for this game so far, keep it up
Thank you for all the tips, you have really improved my games and destroyed a lot of mindless players point and click gameplay! Especially on the opposite team ❤
You make it look easy. Generally when I'm solo tanking I go Magneto or Strange cause solo tanking with anyone else is pain, but when there's someone else tanking with me, I enjoy playing Groot a lot
This was very well thought out and your positioning on every play you made was really really good I learned a lot from watching this video. I will definitely use this video from now on as a study guide
incredibly good info on solo tank bro i sometimes am forced to leave healer when people decide to pick it even though i was a healer before them and i already am really confident to heal everyone on my team
Finally got to both Plat I and Lord Hulk in the same match a couple days ago and these guides have been instrumental to that success. This vid also helps me confirm that playing more "passively" when solo Hulk can work out. Getting to Diamond has still been painful but I'm a lot better at knowing when it's my mistake and knowing when it's the team's mistake. Had one convoy match where we only had 1 tank and 1 healer (me being the tank) and right before the round starts someone swaps to a 2nd tank, so I decide to flex and fill the 2nd support, we lose the first couple points and the guy who played tank swapped off to healer, flamed me for being a bad support and left us with 0 tanks and 0-3 on the score. The biggest plot twist is we somehow won the whole game. The rest of the team was thankfully a bit more understanding after the first loss so we got a balanced 2/2/2 comp with a decent spider-man (who still got flamed from the prior guy)
Bro your outfit reminds me of joe fixit when he was on bruce banner body on the Immortal Hulk run🔥. Also, thanks for the tips, they are the most helpful resource for hulk I have ever seen!
Love these videos! made me subscribe and I improved so much with Hulk thanks to them, would love to see one with Mr Fantastic if you had a good game using him as he's also one of my mains and I see you use it sometimes!
Great tips, but it really does suck when you are doing all these things, being aggressive so the enemies focus you, checking on teamates, protecting them when possible and stalling as much as possible, then you check the scoreboard and see you've done the most damage and the most kills your dps has is 3 by the end of the first round. DPS mains really are something else in low ELO (im gold 1)
Only hero I play with it venom…and I’ll have to remember this thank you for your tips. I love watching your channel and my daughter loves watching you as hulk!!! Hulk smash!
I think the best way to be a good hulk with all this in mind is realizing just how much he DOESNT DIE. The enemy team RESPECTS him, they pop ults, they get defensive, they fear the Hulk. But if they know they can just blast down this enemy hulk, you lose ALL of that. That conditioning is super important, because without that respect, you really are just an ult battery that's either gonna run away after 2 seconds or just be another number towards someone's MVP.
4:07 You stop the cart here because if you don't you will have one fight to objective. A hard push here alows for a stall which can lead to a stalemate fight (that kills time and progression hoping for worst case OT) or a win which allows you to free push back to start or worst case scenerio my team get whipped Or u get whiped so the healers and DPS have to stall for a second fight on Objective for a final hard stop or an OT push
D2 Venom main, even with this being my fist hero shooter I totally agree with the last tip; there's a lot of success to be had with those team splits after objective captures on push maps. High mobility Vanguards should always be looking out for that; sometimes even on capture maps I'll look for stragglers who died early last fight and aren't as aware coming back to point that they're far from their team again
I wonder, could you apply this same game plan as someone like Iron Fist? He's obviously not as tanky as Hulk, but I feel like he can fulfil a similar role in this scenario with his self sustain and mobility.
If i need damage, i go thor. If i need defense and quick returns to point, i go strange. When i need both, and that crowd control, hulk. But made to to platinum switching between these 3 for tanks based plays. I cant be a otp. I just cant. I need variety.
I'm getting more used to the idea of aura farming where you show up with a threat like IM GONNA SWING UNTIL YOU'RE GONE YOU BETTER REACT and then immediately jumping out when they panic its a really fun method because if they aren't scared and don't respect you you get to teach them the lesson that you must be feared 7:00 ish is a good example jump in once and then they burn all cooldowns and ult twice
As magneto just focus on pushing enemies off the cart, hitting their backline when you can, and saving his ult for supports like cloak and dagger and mantis
at 4:12 you said leave your thoughts in the comment...my guess is because it is right at the corner...so a good place to get angles...and still have an escape...I'm gold two, I'm not a great player, but I am a objective focused player...my lack of skill is made up for by my DEDICATION to the objective. I love this video, excited to see if I am right.
Smart playstyle will try it. I am learninf wolverine but no one tanks and my tank roster is mainly hulk, captain so difficult in payload. Your style concept looks similar to cloudy’s strat on OW map circuit royale 1st point. Where your angle allows your healers to heal you and you are using natural cover to give them time to reload or a break to heal the dps and you can’t take damage from the enemy because you are hiding and using the cart as cover.
Meta is 2 tanks, 3 support, 1 DPS imho. Having a tank to damage sponge, an off tank to add pressure, the DPS for extra pressure and burst damage potential, and the 3 support to give crazy sustainability and far superior utility. Legitimately DPS is the least important role in these games. Like I know that a cracked DPS can roll a team with the right amount of pressure in the right places, but you optimize your cooldown uptime by having triple support and all of the strategist have enough burst damage on their own to not even need a duelist in the first place, but if you want a dive comp, you kinda HAVE to go for more DPS, but that’s just one of many comps.
Im a punisher player and some of the turret drops were okay, it creates immense pressure on the enemy team in chokes because it's splash damage and he cant be hit because turret acts as a shield, plus you're body blocking a lot of the hits from the turret itself, and it farms ult charge pretty quickly since he's hitting so many at once. I'm only Diamond 2 but the turrets he was placing didn't seem that bad after the first one (which was quite bad but maybe he assumed the healers would outheal the dmg idk).
Nah it's bad, seen many punisher like this only to get dived and stopped wasting the turret. Punisher works if there's no diver on enemy team which happens a lot so that's how crappy Punishers climb 😅
I don't normally say this, but definitely watch this one to the end some juicy tips there.
Got it Coach
people told me you cant solo tank with hulk atleast not in high elo
so people tell me all the time strange is the best solo tank. but how tf am i supposed to play him cause he just never feels stronger than hulk
