Some day, i hope to buy a fastrak as the upgrade from my raptor sd. I put about 180h per season on the raptor...400h so far. It's done well for a machine not meant for commercial use, and the yards around here are not nice. Everyone is bi-weekly so im often cutting grass that is 8-12" tall.
I just noticed something, where are the clean out ports on your fx691? Looks like the engine cover was changed. Never seen that before. Never mind, it's several years old :)

I've never seen a stop like that on the chute. Too many ppl around here take even the deflector off. Why do you use it? Helps mulch the clippings or to prevent anything from being shot out?
Thanks for the detailed, honest review - nothing beats experience! Wondering if you've done any tow-behinds with this model and how that's worked out if you have? I have a 7-acre horse farm - pastures, paddock, riding ring and of course the manicured backyard. Want the cutting speed of the zero-turn, with some flexibility to get other stuff done. And not break the bank...

Troy Scott Oregon gator g5 blades. Trac vac blocker. I’ve had noise in the spindle and was going bad. Bearings are sealed but after having employee wash mower they were a little aggressive with water around spindle

Never been to Minnesota.... Keep busy with mulch/pinestraw, work on equipment, catch up on paperwork and definitely enjoy some down time and let the body rest and recover from the seasons grind!

Blaise Chareville x in sdx means you got upgraded Kawasaki FX engine instead of Kawasaki FS series. More torque and hp. Hustler switch to Kohler engines for 2017 models. Not sure why.
Jose Garcia I got it from a dealer in Indianapolis where I first saw it. I heard you can call trac vac directly and order. Make sure you get right model number because they make a few different ones. Good luck

Thanks for posting the review.Our property has really steep slopes, I've had to use my Can Am Commander with a tow-behind to do it up til this year. I want to get this SDX so I don't have to creep in hot hot weather with my side by side, we need it desperately for winter and I don't want to stress it anymore in the heat like that. I found aftermarket tires with lug-type tread I'm thinking of buying and having the dealer install, do you think that would work with the zero turn alright?
NO news is good news! Besides oil and filters, greasing on the regular and air filters this thing is a beast! 585HR and counting. Was gonna sell it and buy exact same mower bc its out of warranty but doesn't come with Kawi FX engine anymore. Ill wait until hustler starts installing again. You thinking about the picking one up?
Lowes onky sells the hustler raptor. I had a raptor sd 54" cut mower that I bought from lowes about 7 years ago. It cost little over 4,200.00 back then.

I have the 48" version. I agree with the covers. They collect a lot of debris.
Don't understand why they don't just put full cover all the way across to cover all pulleys.......

@@jonquillawnlandscape8491 mainly its so the pulleys are easier to access, and maybe it helps cool some of the pulleys while running.

What hydro transmissions has it got on it. I just bought a 23 Fas trak. It's got 3200 ZT hydro transmissions.
Have you moved any wet/early morning dew grass with it?
just bought a demo 2020 model only has 30 hrs on it and it backfires what could be the issue

i have the same chute blocker, on my xone i. 52"... Its an insane mower. Im looking at changing blocker because I cant put on a grass catcher.
Air filter cap is not on right the duck bill on it should be facing down great vid
Your air filter cap is on wrong. The snout is supposed to point downward.

Kathleen Turnbull I've pulled some larger brush piles and a few large shrubs that we dug out from backyards to the street. Lots of power!
They will drag a huge pile of brush that's a fact

What blades do you use and chute blocker? I bouhgt one in August. I'm also having a noise in the area of the spindle

Very happy with blocker. Only had to order part once in 3 years. Bolts just need snugged up every once in awhile

Javon Rodd agree! You have to upgrade to x1 for duel tanks. I can’t spare the 7” in my trailer for x1. Extremely tight fit currently
