Amie, you are exceptionally smart! Way beyond handbags & outfits. And have a lot more to offer to your viewers. Please, do consider making business videos for the benefit of the working and entrepreneurial women watching your channel. Thanks!
Agree, I watch as much for the business/lifestyle as the “products”. No viewer is buying every single item reviewed; but we still watch every video ! ❤️
"I know that the word 'aggressive' isn't something that is traditionally seen as a good trait in women, but I think it is important to try be really active in trying to obtain more money." What a wonderful statement. I hope a lot of women hear that and realize what they deserve. If all of us are active or "aggressive" (which would be "courageous" or "determined" if it was a man), the world will start changing its bias. Slowly, but surely!
It's really nice to see a fashion yoututber actually having a job, working and taking responsibility of the business. Really appreciate your sincerity sharing your personal life. Also love your point of view about business.
Undoubtedly smart young and elegant lady running her own business at this age which she is passionate about and I watch the luxury videos and spend my money on designer items without having solid plan for future , just burning my ass at the office waiting for salary 😤😤😤I need to think smart . Thanks dear for always being an inspiration❤️
As a senior manager with a 6 figure salary and living in the city if my dreams, Shanghai, ( i am originally from Barcelona), i have many female cowokers coming to me for advice on the negotiation of their conditions so let me give you here my two cents. 1 ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS prepare your numbers in advance. Think of your dream salary figure and the minimum amount for which you would take more responsibility or move to another company and then find an amount in the middle of your dream and your minimum, and have those three figures in mind during your negotiation. 2. NEVER NEVER NEVER accept your first offer. If they want you, you have to be self confident to show your value and negotiate and of course reach for your dream figure. You can negotiate your salary figure or other conditions important to you such as holidays or no overtime during weekends or job title if that matters to you, etc. 3. Dont feel selfish for discussing money or negotiating, think about how much you could help others with a higher salary amount and think that your male coworkers do this every time without feeling guilty. Much love from Shanghai ❤️
Love love love when people on designer/luxe channels tackle topics like these! Been following you and similar youtubers (like sophie shohet etc) for a while now and I couldn't be happier about these videos
I just have to echo what everyone else is saying: I LOVE when you talk business. Random question that I just thought of: would you recommend investing with those platforms on behalf of teenagers in your life? How would you go about doing that if it is a good idea?
Great video! You mentioned you invested in riskier assets as well as real estate...could you do a video on your investment strategy? I am just getting started in investing and would love to hear your point of view!
I have always enjoyed your handbag videos Amie but this is particularly enjoyable and interesting to get to know your personal life better. Thank you for sharing. Sending love from Brisbane, Australia xx
Really enjoy your career/finance Q&A (tips) -- could u please make this a regular series? Q: how did u go about financing your startup? would u have done the same knowing what u know now? Q: what are your opinions on cryptocurrency? do u invest in them? Thanks -- best wishes to u guys :)
So happy you enjoyed it! :) Answers to your questions listed: 1. Financed ourselves - would do the same again, as we just didn't want to give away the equity. 2. No. One of our closest friends specialises in crypto and even he says to stay away for the time being. Too uncertain and too unstable atm.
Amie, I've always loved you as a person and this video exemplifies why I watch your videos. It's not just the love of handbags, but the fact that you are a woman who works and pays for her own purchases. I love that you are so smart about it, and someone I really respect and aspire to. Influencers are fun to follow, but I would never want to live a life like theirs. Channels like yours are so unique in that you get to enjoy all the fun, frivolous things, but it's so much more realistic to me as a working young professional.
Amie, thank you for this video. You’re so articulate and it’s so clear why you’re doing well, thanks for sharing your tips and tricks. Especially Wealthsimple and money box. You’re absolutely right, no time like the present, thank you 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
My father is a surveyor, property investor and a judge on the tribunal and he says now is the worse time to sell as the market in London is low at the moment. Perhaps consider selling it in the next couple of years? Xx
It's all relative. You sell low, you buy low / you sell high you buy high. The only way around that is to buy low and rent your previous until it's high - that's not always an option for people.
I understand the whole cold that "seeps into your bones." It starts in late October, and I don't warm up again until April. Jan/Feb is the worst, with several weeks of -30 and -40C temps. On another note -- yes, definitely see long term with investments. When the crash hit, I lost about $10K in just a few days... but now, several months later, they're all back up to where they were before the crash.
Hello. I've been following you for many years. I'm so astonished how much 8ve learn about you in this one video. So inspiring. Your are such a very smart business woman. I'm seed so excited for you and Dan about your purchase of your new home. Congratulations. Blessings to you both for continued happiness in your new home. I'm also so happy you and Dan has your own business. Continued success in many years to come. I did not ask any questions. Stay well. Many Blessings to you and Dan. Cant wait to see what dog you guys chose. My daughter is such a dog lover. She has two huge dogs. She also has two children. She works full time. She's a very busy Mom. With COVID19 she and her husband both works from home. Homes in Maryland 8s very, very expensive. My daughter and her husband recently bought a very large home, over half a million dollars. He need more room too for the children along with their dogs.
I am an entrepreneur and always have been. Also have only ever started businesses with my hubby. Invested in real estate, started our own company in our 20's and now almost in our 50's. We are a husband and wife team and have 0 regrets as we are now living the life of our dreams. Owning your own business is full of sacrifice, but as you and your business age, it becomes SO worth it. The rewards are cumulative . Loved this video. Cheers from Canada!
Long time watcher; first time commenter :) I have always loved your fashion videos and handbag reviews (as we all do) and now I love even more your advice about business and asking for raises! Yes! Women: know your worth! It’s ok to ask for more money and for your boss to know that your value to the company can be reflected in your salary 👏👏👏 Fabulous advice, Amie. Can’t wait to see more pics of the new house and hear about the dog you and Dan choose. Thanks for the great advice ❤️
I LOVED this video. I would love if you could do more business and finance type videos. Like how to divide money into different pools and save for a house, investment & luxury/shopping... How to stay organised/productive/motivated like you are as you worked full time, had a side hustle/business on evenings and weekends + RUclips chanel - pls share your time management tips. Some insight would be greatly appreciated. Also how do you go about goal setting? Do you do it yearly? How do you track where you are up too. Its wonderful to see a successful business women make it when she didnt come from money xxxx
You have always been one of my favorite youtubers! You inspire me so much and it's very rare to find a youtuber at first who is also working a full-time job and now generally someone who speaks about their businesses and you seem really business savy. I have been watching all your videos during the quarantine, especially when I'm working! Stay safe
thanks for the business and investment tips!!! I have no idea about these but I find them very valuable, to keep them in mind. Like principles when taking decisions.
I used to live in central London in a 2 bed flat ; we’ve now moved out to the Midlands with a 5bed house and a massive garden ! We are still only 90 mins from london, and it will be even quicker with HS2! I completely understand where you are coming from! I could never go back !
Amie you are such an inspiration and such a girl boss! I love how you have the voice, confidence and intelligence to go out there and run your businesses and share your knowledge. Please keep posting videos like this!
Joint accounts matter when you have kids. Keep it open. Very few couples are equal financially when babies come. Typically women, needing to take 3/4 years off work or on part time hours. In my case my husband has to stop work so I had to make my account joint for him to have that freedom to spend. Love your content. Curious how you have so much money to buy houses without needing to sell. I’m a huge earner (also in U.K.) and I absolutely couldn’t keep buying houses without selling! I run a very similar company to what you describe. But more full digital platforms for Local Government. Wondering where my spare million’s are ;)
I’ve watched a lot of q&a videos and this Amie has to be best I’ve seen!! You are so intelligent and kind for sharing all your tips and advice! Look forward to more business advice videos
Same feeling my husband and I had! We were both born and raised in NYC and we got married and are renting in NYC. We decided to check out the market outside of NYC and now we’re proud homeowners in Long Island (which is about 25 mins from where we currently are and 45 mins from Manhattan). No going back to these NYC prices after we saw what the suburbs have to offer lol
Amie, this is a great video. You are well-rounded, articulate, incredibly smart, and a positive role model for young women. Congratulations to you and Dan for the new house.
Been watching you amie for a few years and you never cease to amaze me with your hardwork and passion for your interests but also career pursuits. As someone who's 22 I really want to invest and you really have made me really want to take action to be a better version of myself. Your knowledge is amazing love your content :)
LOVE how you're talking business and finance. Kind of hard to find geared for women so would love more videos like this! Even with Dan as well if he's comfortable:)
Hi Amie, not sure if you'll see this comment bc I watched this video later, but let me know if you want tips on kitchen cleaning. Your new kitchen looks gorgeous! We bought and renovated our house a yr ago, and I designed my own kitchen, which is also all white. I have this whole routine of cleaning and it still looks as good as new, happy to share that routine with you if you want. I was definitely nervous about designing and then using my kitchen as well!
Amie, you're so smart. I look up to you so much! I'm hoping to start my own consulting company in healthcare someday but it's so scary to take the leap to make it my full-time job. Really appreciate the openness in this video
Hi Amie, thanks for being so thorough and honest with these questions! My partner and I are in a similar situation and found your perspective super helpful!
Good for you , I absolutely believe that women need to stand up for themselves ( men would never expect or want someone else to ask for higher wages for them) . I admire you!!!
I’m so glad you’ve addressed the EWS1 form. I was in the same position but luckily our buy to let mortgage provider didn’t ask for the form. I hope it works out for you! Love your videos!
Congratulations on getting ur new place! Can’t wait to see ur video on ur house tour. I agree with u on the business concept and it’s always a good idea to invest in properties. Having a business is about dedication, commitment, sacrifice, and compromise with ur business partner. Thanks for sharing!
The dog considerations aren’t strange at all! I am considering moving out of London so that my cat can have access to the outdoors in a safe space away from busy roads. They are our family members after all!
Also, thank you for including Canada. We get left out a lot, especially in businesses who assume they can just offer Canadians the American dollar which is HUGELY different to the Canadian dollar. So thanks, small thing but makes an impact!
You are so sweet and gorgeous. Love the story about the future dog. Can’t wait to see what kind of dog it will be. Please make a video about the new family member😇
I really enjoy your videos so much Amie, thankyou for your honesty your wonderful fashion finds and bag reviews and for sharing a little bit of your life with us 😚
Prepare a report of everything you’ve done and achieved for your company and department. Provide quantified data and show that you deserve a raise. It’s very possible! I got a raise during a pandemic so I know you can too.
Hi Amie, I've been following you for many years since you made your first Q&A video! At that time you were renting an apartment and had a 9-5 job. It's so amazing to how you have become so successful and grown so much personally and professionally in the matter of a few years and you guys own a third house now! You're my inspiration! Also you and Dan are so great for each other! I wish my husband were into building a biz! Anyways Love watching your vids as always!
Thank you Amie, this was a great one. I really want my daughter to watch it but I also don't want her to know that I watch fashion guru on RUclips . 😄 🤣 She recently turned 20 and I made her buy some beat up airline company and told her that it is safe with her because she had all the time on her hands. 😄 One day I will make up some story saying how your video popped out of nowhere and I will watch this again with her. Xoxo from Canada 🇨🇦
Amie, you're one of the first RUclipsrs I've come across who's from the same industry that I am & it is so inspiring to see where I can be if I keep at it :) I too love solving tech/business problems and I love fashion just like you! So inspiring!
I have been enjoying your videos for many years now ... I do really like your fashion and handbag videos but this one was great. It's really wonderful to watch and listen to your financial responsibilities and decisions, and very refreshing to see a successful working woman on RUclips. Unfortunately, in the past years most female RUclipsrs only work on RUclips, and it's very difficult to relate to their lifestyles and decisions (nothing wrong with that of course). Anyways, hope you can continue sharing more of this personal/financial videos.
Since you mentioned your love for dogs, may I kindly request you to consider adopting a rescue rather than buying a dog. It is unfortunate that so many dogs are crammed in shelters while equal number are being bred for sales. And in my experience, rescues are so thankful when adopted, it is a different kind of joy to see their transformation from a shelter to a forever home.
loved this video, amy! do you have an actual office space for your company or is it all remote work (pre-covid times)? so do you do the marketing for the company? also, for anyone that is looking for an easy investing tool i suggest wealthfront (you can choose your risk appetite and it's a robo advisor so it diversifies your portfolio for you)
Just recently found out about this video, I have always loved your luxury bag content but I love this video about the business side and just life experience of yours! Have you consider doing a podcast with Dan to go through your business startup and how you build it? I would love to learn from you guys!
Thanks for making a video like this! The life and financial tips and experiences you share really set your account apart from others. Best of luck on your move!!
I highly recommend to listen to the podcast “npr - How I Built this - with Guy Raz” there are some really interesting and inspiring entrepreneurial EG Jo Malone’s story is incredible!
Hi Amie. I'd love to hear more about your experience in tech and specifically leadership in tech. I'm currently working for a tech company in New York as a UX designer and am really inspired by your story in the tech industry :)
It's enjoyable to watch you speaking about your business other than just fashion. Would love to know what are some of the work your company have built.
Thank you, Amie! Follower from Singapore here. This is so practical and motivating at the same time. Stay safe. Sending lots of love from the other side of the world. ❤❤❤
Oh my gosh seeing that Christmas tree pic--so sweet!! thanks for sharing the personal bits of your life as well :) Do you have any tips for newlywed couples trying to manage finances?
Agreed about the investing... I wish I had started small a long time ago (especially since I am closer to retirement now). I started small with an app and then took some of it out into an investment specific company.
Brilliant video, I had wondered whether you were still at your marketing job or surviving with the Christmas tree business!! Wishing you lots of luck in your new home x
Wow, thanks so much for sharing. What an incredible eye opener for many as many people think one should just shop and shop without earning the income... I love what you said about you don’t have to be passionate about the item but yes about the process and journey 👌🏼 Wishing you much success!
Amie, thank you for this video!!! :))) it was soo good to watch, you are so honest and helpful, I hope you can create similar videos in the future! :))
Amie you are smart person, can sense the way you speak and voice up and leading.. its so inspiration for all of us.. Its a nice video to watch beside luxury.. its like really You👏👏👏
I 100% support your decision to move so you could get a dog. Dogs are the best and make life so so much better. I really hope we get to see a dog soon!
Amie, you are exceptionally smart! Way beyond handbags & outfits. And have a lot more to offer to your viewers. Please, do consider making business videos for the benefit of the working and entrepreneurial women watching your channel. Thanks!
I totally agree. Well said.
I was thinking this too. Amie has so much experience. :-)
Definitely agree!
I was thinking the same.
Agree, I watch as much for the business/lifestyle as the “products”. No viewer is buying every single item reviewed; but we still watch every video ! ❤️
I would love more content on entrepreneurship and tech! Like day in a life, tips on management, etc. This is so interesting and inspiring!
"I know that the word 'aggressive' isn't something that is traditionally seen as a good trait in women, but I think it is important to try be really active in trying to obtain more money." What a wonderful statement. I hope a lot of women hear that and realize what they deserve.
I was thinking the exact same thing! I do too need to think smarter
I watch Sophie, too, and find these types of videos very interesting, educational and inspiring.
Ahh thank you! So happy you enjoyed it - and thank you for watching!! :) xx
You're like a big sister who gives sound advices to young women 💖
Really enjoy your career/finance Q&A (tips) -- could u please make this a regular series?
Q: how did u go about financing your startup? would u have done the same knowing what u know now?
Q: what are your opinions on cryptocurrency? do u invest in them?
Thanks -- best wishes to u guys :)
So happy you enjoyed it! :)
Answers to your questions listed:
1. Financed ourselves - would do the same again, as we just didn't want to give away the equity.
2. No. One of our closest friends specialises in crypto and even he says to stay away for the time being. Too uncertain and too unstable atm.
I agree!!!
Amie, I've always loved you as a person and this video exemplifies why I watch your videos. It's not just the love of handbags, but the fact that you are a woman who works and pays for her own purchases. I love that you are so smart about it, and someone I really respect and aspire to. With your demeanor, voice, and accent I can’t imagine you arguing or raising your voice.
Another tip on investing from my uncle who retired at 55 years old. He always told me to invest 15% of my yearly salary.
You loose money only if you sell, the market goes up and down!!

Thanks for sharing the encouraging words...it does give me some ideas how a real life works... The 'will' to continue is a great motivation word..
LOVE how you're talking business and finance. Kind of hard to find geared for women so would love more videos like this! Even with Dan as well if he's comfortable:)
Hi Amie, not sure if you'll see this comment bc I watched this video later, but let me know if you want tips on kitchen cleaning.

You are smart and hardworking person.
You did what other people did not want to do and achieved what others dreaming about
Thank you so much Amie for sharing! Really inspiring!
Clicked immediately once I saw the title! love this Q&A style video 💛
I love the girl boss vibe of this video. You are such a classy lady! 💖
The dog considerations aren’t strange at all! I am considering moving out of London so that my cat can have access to the outdoors in a safe space away from busy roads. They are our family members after all!
Haha glad we're not the only ones! Our facebook message thread is just animal gifs we send to each all day long 😂
Also, thank you for including Canada. We get left out a lot, especially in businesses who assume they can just offer Canadians the American dollar which is HUGELY different to the Canadian dollar. So thanks, small thing but makes an impact!
Major congrats on your new house, the kitchen is simply stunning! Good tips on money and finances, thanks.
compounding and price averaging by consistently investing! love to hear women speaking about this, and being accessible with it. Thank you!! xx
You are so sweet and gorgeous. Love the story about the future dog. Can’t wait to see what kind of dog it will be. Please make a video about the new family member😇
Would you ever expand your channel to talk more about business opportunities in entrepreneurship?
I really enjoy your videos so much Amie, thankyou for your honesty your wonderful fashion finds and bag reviews and for sharing a little bit of your life with us 😚
wow, Amie. You are such a well-rounded person - smart, well-spoken, fashionable, beautiful :)
It’s a bit tricky to ask for pay rise this year given covid and everything :(
Prepare a report of everything you’ve done and achieved for your company and department. Provide quantified data and show that you deserve a raise. It’s very possible! I got a raise during a pandemic so I know you can too.
Interesting... I always thought Dan as a tech guy, and Amie looked more of a Finance/Investment banker person for some reason 😘
Hi Amie, I've been following you for many years since you made your first Q&A video! At that time you were renting an apartment and had a 9-5 job.
What companies do you use for investing again? Could you put them in your description box?
I admire you even more now, Amie! You really have your head on your shoulders. 😘💗😘
Can't wait for part 2 of this video!
😍😍😍😍 thank you. Video was so helpful. You should have more like these
You should move to Brighton. It’s a great place to live for dogs and kids❤️all the best for the future xx
loved this video, amy! do you have an actual office space for your company or is it all remote work (pre-covid times)? so do you do the marketing for the company? also, for anyone that is looking for an easy investing tool i suggest wealthfront (you can choose your risk appetite and it's a robo advisor so it diversifies your portfolio for you)
Hi Amie !!! Congratulations to you and Dan on the new house - A wonderful accomplishment indeed!!
Just recently found out about this video, I have always loved your luxury bag content but I love this video about the business side and just life experience of yours! Have you consider doing a podcast with Dan to go through your business startup and how you build it? I would love to learn from you guys!
Really enjoyed this video and listening to your experiences in business and investments, thanks so much for this Amie! Good luck with the move xxx

Could you do a book series about the best business books you’ve read ❤️
Congratulations on your home! ☺️ Thank you for posting Amie.
I'm so ready to leave London. Without the commuters coming in, it is a very odd and scary place. I live in WC1X.
Agreed about the investing... I wish I had started small a long time ago (especially since I am closer to retirement now). I started small with an app and then took some of it out into an investment specific company.
I love how informative your videos are. Always enjoy watching your videos
I love that the motivation for moving was promoted by dogs 🥰
Brilliant video, I had wondered whether you were still at your marketing job or surviving with the Christmas tree business!! Wishing you lots of luck in your new home x
Wow, thanks so much for sharing. What an incredible eye opener for many as many people think one should just shop and shop without earning the income...
I love what you said about you don’t have to be passionate about the item but yes about the process and journey 👌🏼
Wishing you much success!
Amy, could you please list the few investment companies that you mentioned? We are clueless here.
