Written by country composers Mike Reid and Allen Shamblin, co-produced by Bonnie with Don Was and featuring piano by Bruce Hornsby.

She is easily Bonnie's equal on this song.

I love Susan Tedeschi's voice, but wish that she would have put her spin on this song instead of doing it exactly like Bonnie Raitt. That being said, I prefer Bruce Hornsby & Bonnie's live version: ruclips.net/video/ZTIu4UbkK94/видео.html

Prince absolutely killed this song on an afternoon talk show (Oprah?) in the late 90's. One of the best vocal performances I recall on this song. ✌️

Another stellar version of this song is done by Mark Lennon (Venice).

Susan, was doing Susan's take of the song. Very different. Not exactly, never exactly as should be. Listen. You have a preference, that is all. So many quality singers have sang this song. I recommend Teddy Swims for a male take on the song with a stunningly beautiful tone and nuance.

What would be the point of that? There are artists and there are mechanics ... one's tugging at your heart, other's making noise.
