The best in the game. I always know who to go to when I need some knowledge. Thank you Sal. My only difference is that the homeowner wants to use concrete board. Am I able to put up the board first and bury it under the mud as you did with the foam board?
Since the entire plane has to slope toward the drain, even the edges, then how do we tile on the walls on the 2 sides with the bottom line is uneven since it all slope toward the line drain?
Great vid Sal. I am curious how you prepped around the drain pipe, concreted over everything and what kind of drain adapter you used. First I saw a big red looking pipe...how did you adapt from that to the linear drain?
Great video, thanks Sal !! I really appreciate it when you do a write up, on a more complex video like this one. Is your deck mud being mixed batch by batch ( 5 gal bucket ), as you need it? Thanks for everything !
Sal ... don't know how you do it ... you have sooo much to share and you do it all. Hope your week is perfect ... love the speed explanations. Godlike
Thanks a lot for the tutorial,
Welcome 😊
Would like to see the next step where you install the linear drain and how you adhere it to the floor (I'm assuming with a fabric).

Cement board yes, Fiber cement board no. Hardie Backer is fiber cement board.

I hate to be "that guy" but he has a ton of videos about these questions in his archives. He talks and shows it in various videos.
@@Grizzleback07 What guy? I have watched Sal channel for 3years and I don't remember seeing that. thanks for your useless input.
Where are these alleged videos?
Looks fantastic sal! If this was done over a typical subfloor rather than concrete is a waterproofing rubber liner required under the dry pack bed?
No, this is a bonded system with a bonding flange drain.
Sal, what do you mean when you say soft spot? Does that mean a hollow or a place that wasn't packed down hard? Thanks.
Correct
Great video, thanks Sal !!
