"I don't think that was anywhere close to peak Viper." Nah mah the last third of the first game was definitely peak Viper. The way he saved all his vils from the castle dropped TC at 16:05 was insane
This TTL4 tourney opening for Viper reminds me of the times when he used to appear to love to come back from his own bizarre strategy attempts in early games. It's as if he has admitted to himself that tempting fate is required to get him into creative problem solving mode. Hey, I will never complain! Take a breather and try weird stuff, then come back with even weirder stuff, as so often happens. Makes for popcorn-eating drama, from my soft couch perspective.
First game was crazy throw by Valas, he had so many advantages in early imp. A castle getting denied by 3 Korean Cav Arches would have been devastating
Clean sweep by the Viper but he really was so close to losing this series 2-1. Second game if that TC had been pressured at all he could have lost his castle age progress or a load of villagers. GGs!

viper likes to say he has a tc gather point bug but that's just how he plays. time for another sneak.
Is there actually a tc gather point bug? Cause like two hours ago I played a game and my villagers kept going over to my enemies base. I quadruple checked my gather points and figured I must have just somehow clicked a bunch of vills to go over there on seperate occasions but this would explain a lot.

perhaps one reason is there was a map called Cross (today Four Lakes), so that might cause confusion.
They should really make monk conversion timing consistent
They should make it where when the unit moves away from the monk a certain amount of tiles the monk loses it's target. It's ridiculous when the unit is an ocean away and the monk is still locked on, and then moment the unit accidently returns or is in sight again it's an instant conversion.
