Would be amazing to get a remake - I think some of the novels and the Hell Arc are almost a given if TYBW does well. Also excited to see if Kubo indulges changes to the OG story like he did with TYBW - maybe improve some of the few things people never liked (Yammy’s ending, some of the Visored fights in the Aizen arc) or adding even more TYBW foreshadowing.

Bleach stands as one of the absolute best! Ive re watched the anime probably 10x over before the announcement of the 1000 year blood war arc and I would GLADLY rewatch it an 11th time with a remake and have absolutely zero regrets about it.
Started watching bleach in middle school. Been addicted since we had the weekly episodes back in 2008 and we had to wait after every epic fight (kenny and byakuya). Those waits were torture 😂. This show has always had special place in my heart and i will always support the bleach community that loves it as much as me
There was a scene in this trailer with Rukia standing near dead body of Kaien and there was young Ganju. It wasn't in the anime or the manga. It was only mentioned by words, but never shown. So it's a new scene just like new scenes made by Kubo in tybw anime adaptation (that weren't present in manga). And Ganju young design looks like it was Kubo himself who made it

I was in my second year of college when I first discovered BLEACH, and I was not really into anime that much, but BLEACH has truly something else. I do hope Can't Fear Your Own World has its own animated series. Reading those 3-part novel gave me chills!

If they do make a remake at some point I wouldn't be too surprised if they either gave it to another studio (like One Piece is doing right now) or waited a few years. Cause after the TYBW arc we still likely have 2 or more important novels to adapt, and Studio Pierrot still has Boruto and Black Clover on hold. Same goes for a potential Naruto remake. Though maybe the new "Pierrot Films" might help handle that workload.
Kubo was asked about doing a remake for the entire og series a couple months ago iirc and he said they are no current plans but he is open to it. Also have you seen/watched Burn The Witch ? It's in the same universe as Bleach, written and drawn by Kubo.
A remake could be possible but not realistic at the moment. It would have to be done by a different studio but I doubt that Studio Pierrot wants to give it away after creating Pierrot Films recently. They could do it in a few years but we should keep in mind that they have other projects besides Bleach like Boruto Blue Vortex and Black Clover.

Let's explore the idea of a Bleach Remake. I'm someone who made a Kai edit of the OG Bleach anime and I was able to reduce the 203 canon episodes (this includes the Menos Forest arc and the two omake episodes during soul society) to about 177.5 eps. The Thousand Year Blood War anime over 52 episodes will cover 20 volumes of the manga, plus have enough new material that would be about 3 volumes worth. So 23 volumes in 52 eps. Putting that ratio into the 54 volumes that the original covered and you get about 122 episodes. While most people are ok with TYBW's pacing, some people have also said it can be a bit too fast at times so they'd likely prefer slightly slower pacing for a remake. Unlike Thousand Year Blood War, I don't see Kubo really doing any major additions or changes. The only one I can think of is changing Vaste Lorde Ichigo vs Ulquiorra since he said the Hell Verse version of that fight was closer to what he originally wanted to do. He might want to add a few scenes for Ichigo's friends, but the OG anime kind of already did that so I guess he would keep them or put in equivalent scenes. I imagine Menos forest is kept because he originally wanted that in the manga but the two omake episodes probably just become an after episode scene. Several extended parts of fights people would want to keep in (scenes from Ichigo vs Grimmjow being the prime example).
I think the big 3 r all getting remake. I'd like to believe that would happen. Naruto Bleach One Piece getting remake around the same time sounds like the best thing in the universe
Enjoying manga/anime when The Big 3 were popular in the '00s is a nostalgic part of my life, I personally prefer One Piece above the other two but they all have a large place in my heart and were formative memories for me. So while I had a larger 😳😍 reaction to the announcement of "The One Piece," I would still be all in on a Bleach remake. 💪 Shoot, let's get Naruto in the mix too, I would rewatch all three again with the promise of better pacing and no filler episodes. 🙌
Oh man! I was just thinking, it would be amazing if we could get more fleshed-out fights with the top espada. I don't think many of them went the way Kubo actually wanted due to time constraints. Imagine getting to see the Zaraki/Byakuya vs Yammy, or giving us a bunch more of Starrk. I also think the Ichigo vs Ulquiorra fight would go quite a bit different from comments i have read from Kubo about that fight.
OH MY WORD! I feel the same way about Bleach cause I also grew up getting into it because my brother was watching it so we would watch it together(Ever since it came back we've been watching it together again, he just comes to pick me up to watch at their house now) and it became and still is my fav anime of all time and I don't think there will be anything that can top it for me because multiple reasons but also a remake would be absolutely AMAZING! I feel like they'll see how good Your 3 & 4 does and if it meets their expectations or even goes above it then I think they might actually do it!😍 Ps. My fav character is Toshiro😊 and obviously my fav main character is Ichigo too😁
This trailer for Bleach's 20th anniversary was surreal. It was a celebratory trailer, like the one for Naruto, but with the success of the anime, and the game that will be released next year, and everything being successful, a REMAKE would not be impossible, but at the moment they must be focused on the Quincy arc, but They released the trailer and it made noise, once again it's not impossible in the future, it would be absurd.

I highly doubt theyre going to reanimate bleach. This is essentially what they did with the Naruto 20th anniversary a few years ago, "Road of Naruto". Although I hope I'm wrong & really hope we get both Naruto/Bleach reanimated 🤞🏽
IIRC they WERE going to do something with Naruto but it went wrong, they set up a TV timeslot and delayed it didn’t they? My theory was that they were planning on some ridiculous filler but saw that they created hype for something much bigger, and decided it was best to do nothing. So Bleach producers are probably aware of the hype they are creating here.
I don't know if they will remake Bkeach or not but if they do it will be beneficial for the entire franchise from both the sides Hopefully they do consider it.
Seeing how successful burn the witch is he's definitely going to bring more chapters soon, the hell arc is on it's way to. All he needs is an assistant to write both manga at the same time which would make him the first mangaka to ever do so.

As much as I love Bleach, it was my 1st anime and manga. I doubt a remake will happen because it just costs too much to do so. TYBW isn't finished yet, there are many new gens anime coming out the animation studio's livelihood and business doesn't depend on Bleach so there's no huge incentive to do it. That being said, it probably will happen sometime in the future maybe at 30, 40, 50 years anniversary but unlike now. Hopefully we shall witness that grace together.
To be honest my brain tells me i can't expect a whole series remake so i'm not gonna hope. But if it happened it would be huge, cour 3 has been the most expected anime of fall based on votes, it's crazy how the underdog of the big three (and my favorite) is getting a big scale revival after more than 10 years and people are wanting it. Tbh, I didn't know that video was a thing till I saw the title of this video. So I quickly went to watch it first and now I'm watching your reaction to it. Man it's good. But as someone said, I don't think it's a full remake into modern style, I think it's just a 20th anniversary celebration type one off video. But it's still cool they did this. Make me wanna rewatch bleach :P edit: rewatching this on your video I can see a couple of colour mistakes with ichigo's reistsu being yellow instead of white in a couple scenes. There's probably a couple others I've missed, but yeah, still looks awesome. edit 2: Personally I've only read the manga and watched the anime, I've not read any light novels. But I have read the hell arc one shot and personally I hate it, and hope it's not canon. And like you said, if this trailer means a full remake of the anime to the modern style, then I'm definitely be watching it, and then watching your reactions to it :P
I doubt we get a Remake of Bleach. While I'd love a Remake, or even a Kai treatment, I just don't see the series getting at the very least hundreds of episodes for a series that has already been completed. If they didn't remake Dragon Ball... Though I'd love to see it with this animation!
Sorry to disappoint, but that wasn't a remake trailer, it was just a "20 year anniversary video". In the original video it states in the description that it's a collection of popular scenes of Ichigo through eyes of Rukia but remade with current graphics :( Oh and also to why wouldn't they remake it, I agree it'd be an incredible remake, but right now I'd much rather see the Bleach Hell Arc being written and published and animated. Tite Kubo made an amazing 1-shot manga for the story after TYBW saga and just knowing the backstories from everything it would be an even more insane and fun arc :D
I too was just as excited as you, but I also remember this studio did the same thing for the 20th of Naruto and never got anything official after 😞...But after TYBW, this could be a project they work on while Kubo cooks up more stuff for Hell Arc in the meantime. One can hope at least, OG Bleach deserves to be beautifully reanimated! Btw, the new Bleach game isn't out yet, early 2025 and it's an arena fighter. I'd say definitely check it out since you're a Bleach fan, but arena fighters isnt everyone's cup of tea, but so far it looks great! Also, idk if you've ever seen Burn the Witch? If you haven't, I'd definitely check it out. It's a short series atm, but it's a Kubo project and one that we might get more stuff for soon.

Keep filler arcs out to not waste time on them. If they have to at least do the main story first. Remove the Bount plushies from the Arrancar arc. Remove: - stretched out scenes and time them properly. 10 secs fight should not end up like minutes. - Repeating frames like punching non stop. - Censorship Add - anything that boosts the story. - Missing scenes from the Manga 🙇🏻♂️
It's just a 20th anniversary animation, not a remake. It aired continuously from October 5, 2004 to March 27, 2012, for eight years. If a remake was to be made, it would not be till 2032 or more longer the last episode was aired. And now if they want to remake it, the Thousand Year Blood War aired for the third year starting from 2022 will be a farce.
My hesitation is that its taking them a long time for 13 episodes, which okay might be cool if they make episodes and cut fluff out but it would take a long time to do

This is not even taken into account that the 1999 will forever only be half finished before Greed island. @@JBPVFL Ratings don't matter dawg. If ratings were all that dictated a show's quality Demon Slayer would've been the best anime. HxH 2011 just had more commerical success due to it being more available is all. I can't even find a decent HD video for the Greed Island arc in the old anime for HxH anymore. Anyways, the 2011 HxH anime is very sloppily animated in a lot of places with inconsistent and subpar direction, and it suffers from a lot of pacing issues, and is VERY unfaithful to the manga as it cuts out key plot points for seemingly no reason. The 1999 anime has INSANE cinematography and visual direction, as well as collaborated with Togashi to create a product that encompassed his whole direction with HxH. They included characters and story points he had to scrap for the manga, as anime filler episodes, and even had Togashi voice in the anime as a cameo. The director wanted Yorknew to end with an anime original scene, but on Togashi's advice they even discarded the episode which had already been storyboarded

This trailer for Bleach's 20th anniversary was surreal. It was a celebratory trailer, like the one for Naruto, but with the success of the anime, and the game that will be released next year, and everything being successful, a REMAKE would not be impossible, but at the moment they must be focused on the Quincy arc, but They released the trailer and it made noise, once again it's not impossible in the future, it would be absurd.
Back then being a Substitute Shiniagami was a big deal, and if they reanimate it again the fake karakura town arc man..... chills

If you slowly watch this trailer again, there is a scene where kid Ganju is holding his older brother Kaien, you know where Rukia killed him because the hollow who took over his body back in the OG bleach days. That scene with kid Ganju holding Kaien was never in the manga or anime. Why would they be showing that? Was that Kubo's touch for the 20th anniversary animation just for show or......? You are NOT crazy for not reading the manga, you are FLEXIEJAYANIME!

I highly doubt theyre going to reanimate bleach. This is essentially what they did with the Naruto 20th anniversary a few years ago, "Road of Naruto". Although I hope I'm wrong & really hope we get both Naruto/Bleach reanimated 🤞🏽

IIRC they WERE going to do something with Naruto but it went wrong, they set up a TV timeslot and delayed it didn’t they? My theory was that they were planning on some ridiculous filler but saw that they created hype for something much bigger, and decided it was best to do nothing. So Bleach producers are probably aware of the hype they are creating here.

As much as I love Bleach, it was my 1st anime and manga. I doubt a remake will happen because it just costs too much to do so. TYBW isn't finished yet, there are many new gens anime coming out the animation studio's livelihood and business doesn't depend on Bleach so there's no huge incentive to do it.
That being said, it probably will happen sometime in the future maybe at 30, 40, 50 years anniversary but unlike now. Hopefully we shall witness that grace together.
I think the priority is going to be animating the light novels but I would love a more faithful adaptation of the previous material

To be honest my brain tells me i can't expect a whole series remake so i'm not gonna hope. But if it happened it would be huge, cour 3 has been the most expected anime of fall based on votes, it's crazy how the underdog of the big three (and my favorite) is getting a big scale revival after more than 10 years and people are wanting it. If you told this to Naruto and One piece fans back then they wouldn't believe it lmao.

Tbh, I didn't know that video was a thing till I saw the title of this video. So I quickly went to watch it first and now I'm watching your reaction to it. Man it's good. But as someone said, I don't think it's a full remake into modern style, I think it's just a 20th anniversary celebration type one off video. But it's still cool they did this. Make me wanna rewatch bleach :P
edit: rewatching this on your video I can see a couple of colour mistakes with ichigo's reistsu being yellow instead of white in a couple scenes. There's probably a couple others I've missed, but yeah, still looks awesome.
edit 2: Personally I've only read the manga and watched the anime, I've not read any light novels. But I have read the hell arc one shot and personally I hate it, and hope it's not canon. And like you said, if this trailer means a full remake of the anime to the modern style, then I'm definitely be watching it, and then watching your reactions to it :P

I doubt we get a Remake of Bleach. While I'd love a Remake, or even a Kai treatment, I just don't see the series getting at the very least hundreds of episodes for a series that has already been completed. If they didn't remake Dragon Ball... Though I'd love to see it with this animation!

Sorry to disappoint, but that wasn't a remake trailer, it was just a "20 year anniversary video". In the original video it states in the description that it's a collection of popular scenes of Ichigo through eyes of Rukia but remade with current graphics :(
Oh and also to why wouldn't they remake it, I agree it'd be an incredible remake, but right now I'd much rather see the Bleach Hell Arc being written and published and animated. Tite Kubo made an amazing 1-shot manga for the story after TYBW saga and just knowing the backstories from everything it would be an even more insane and fun arc :D

I too was just as excited as you, but I also remember this studio did the same thing for the 20th of Naruto and never got anything official after 😞...But after TYBW, this could be a project they work on while Kubo cooks up more stuff for Hell Arc in the meantime. One can hope at least, OG Bleach deserves to be beautifully reanimated! Btw, the new Bleach game isn't out yet, early 2025 and it's an arena fighter. I'd say definitely check it out since you're a Bleach fan, but arena fighters isnt everyone's cup of tea, but so far it looks great!
Also, idk if you've ever seen Burn the Witch? If you haven't, I'd definitely check it out. It's a short series atm, but it's a Kubo project and one that we might get more stuff for soon.

- stretched out scenes and time them properly. 10 secs fight should not end up like minutes.
- Repeating frames like punching non stop.
- Censorship

- anything that boosts the story.

It's just a 20th anniversary animation, not a remake.
It aired continuously from October 5, 2004 to March 27, 2012, for eight years. If a remake was to be made, it would not be till 2032 or more longer the last episode was aired. And now if they want to remake it, the Thousand Year Blood War aired for the third year starting from 2022 will be a farce.

This is not even taken into account that the 1999 will forever only be half finished before Greed island. I'm not even hating on the older one either, I love them both, but to try and act like the newer one wasn't done well is silly.
@@JBPVFL Ratings don't matter dawg. If ratings were all that dictated a show's quality Demon Slayer would've been the best anime. HxH 2011 just had more commerical success due to it being more available is all. I can't even find a decent HD video for the Greed Island arc in the old anime for HxH anymore.
Anyways, the 2011 HxH anime is very sloppily animated in a lot of places with inconsistent and subpar direction, and it suffers from a lot of pacing issues, and is VERY unfaithful to the manga as it cuts out key plot points for seemingly no reason.
The 1999 anime has INSANE cinematography and visual direction, as well as collaborated with Togashi to create a product that encompassed his whole direction with HxH. They included characters and story points he had to scrap for the manga, as anime filler episodes, and even had Togashi voice in the anime as a cameo. The director wanted Yorknew to end with an anime original scene, but on Togashi's advice they even discarded the episode which had already been storyboarded
