This episode was CINEMA, one of the best in the Quincy arc, Ichigo's fight was incredible, and apparently everything was part of the plan, and it was epic.
The thing I loved most about this episode: This was ALL a rewrite. In the original, Yhwach never even gave his own motivation for what he was doing! Likewise, we got virtually no context for anything that was happening. All of this fixed that, and I'm so excited to see what's happening for the rest of the cour!!

I was re watching the old anime for the thousand time and recently saw episode 109 and in the end, Ichigo says this in his mind when he was comforting Mariko (Hollow girl) at her resting place: "If fate is a milestone, then we are the grist. There is nothing we can do. So I wish for strength. If I cannot protect them from the wheel, then give me a strong blade, and enough strength... to shatter fate." Really loved this quote from him and it just gives me hope that It's connected to his powers because Yhwach seems unstoppable with seeing the future right now and it looks like Ichigo stands no chance.

This episode goes into my top 3 TYBW arc episodes, sharing its place with the Yamomoto Bankai episode and Everything but the rain episode. For someone who did not read the manga and has managed to stay away from a lot of spoilers, this episode was everything that peak Bleach can showcase. Incredible. My pre-teen self is so happy that he picked up bleach all those years ago.
This Soul King Adnyeus/Archon Adonaios (->also close to the hebrew word meaning 'Lord') character fits into the Gnostic cosmology as well. The Archons are the "builders" of the physical/material universe/world. Adonaios/"Soul King", in particular, stands for The Sun, the center that provides COSMIC BALANCE, he stands for ROYALTY, KINGSHIP and power/authority - all things mentioned by Yhwach, his son, in this episode. You were tense like a beautiful cat at the start lol, so cute 😂. Also, the last episode of My Hero Academia did a homage to Bleach! I was so shocked for the moment but so happy too lmao. What a time to be a Bleach fan, we were in the bottom of the well for so long...
I really appreciate the addition of the fights scenes between Yhwach vs Ichigo. It was a good addition that wasn't from the manga. HOWEVER, they forgot to assign something for the rest of the gang to do and made them look stupid just kneeling there watching everything going down LMAO. I hope they come up with something for them to do down the line especially Chad and Ganju.
