This episode is almost entirely new, we never got Yhwach's motive, we never got the Soul King's name, this fight was almost off screen and Ichigo never saw the Almighty until the final battle!

@xTheParadox99 that he sees the current state of the Soul King as humiliating and that his crusade is equal part wanting to deliver his father from his prison but also return the world to its previous state (not divided into 3 worlds) eventually making the Quincys way of doing things valid since there aren't 3 worlds to cycle through if a Soul is bad (hollow) they can exterminate it and not worry about the rebirth
