Now IIRC we never saw katagiri make a bow or use quincy powers, my theory is that katagiri is the jugram of her time, unable to use power but able to give it and she gave everything she had to uryu to save him from auswhallen. that or some people say that the anthithesis was used and swapped the aushwallen between the both of them. Also an another note I feel like the best way to defeat gerrard would be instead of confronting him in battle (his ability making this mostly useless) would be to literally "show heart". Moving him having him realize that Ywhach's plan is bad and that in the world he is trying to create there are no miracles, no courage only stillness (same thing aizen said at the end of the manga, without deatht here can't be hope or courage)
@@storieswithstyle Yes the antithesis is also a possibility, clearly they wanted to show that uryu was supposed to die from auswhallen and he didn't either by his own hand or katagiri, however I think uryu using A unconsciously killing his mother would be horrible (on the other hand, if it was his mother using it, it would feel ok and then it would go back to ywach which bestows it again on uryu (or maybe katagiri transfers it together with her vitality and it was dormant until awakened by ywach))

Askin, Jugram, Kira, Uryu, Yoruichi all had awesome shots of their faces (and the animation on the lighting attack was just divine). But yea, it really does feel like this episode is Kubo telling all of us "so here's the stuff I had to cut before, you're gonna get it now". Btw, it looked like Katagiri was the one who wasn't affected by auswhelen, but Uryu was. Katagiri sacrificing herself to prevent Uryu from dieing to it?
Highlight for me is Shinji casting a chantless Hado #91 (remember Aizen can't draw out even a third of Hado #90's power without an incantation) that had enough power to hurt Gerard in his godsize.
The way Yoruichi‘s lightning attack looked (that appears in many other jp media, too) is from the thunder god Raijin that was also in the attacks name. Raijin has a ring of drums behind, in this case it was lightning orbs. Since Soifon has wind Shunko, maybe she could have a Fujin attack, the wind god equivalent that holds a long bag, flowing behind it.
Katagiri is actually the one that didnt fall I believe. So interesting as it seems it was she that was unaffected by Aushwalen while Uryu was in fact affected.
ABOSLUTELY LOVED THIS SEASON!!! some of the new things I've noticed from these episodes: -Mimihagi is still doing things??? and the ring forming behind Ukitake looks like the ring that was behind mimihagi -They cut out the chiplets that Ishida was leaving around the castle, then added a line that only he can do what he's doing because of his inherited blood form his mother and Grandpa so I wonder if they will expand on that. -Rangiku getting some screen time could be interesting to see what she gets to do in season 4 -Shinji using 91 with no incant -Obviously the Visoreds doing anything, and means the Gerard fight is getting updates, at least in the beginning of the fight -new ichigo vs Ishida fight -the expanded flashback with the 2 mother's, we see the auswählen caused the rain in that moment and and we kind of know deep down Ichigo hates rain (from Old Man Zangetsu's pov) and it makes the rain even more impactful (iirc it was raining in the original episodes, then the here they show the rain appears after the auswählen so either it stopped raining, then continued or it's a continuity oops) ALSO you mentioned that Ishida might have been a unique Quincy akin to Yhwach or Jugram, and that'd be a neat idea since they did bring up Ishida's blood inheritance and it could have been Ishida survived the auswählen due to his A activating and/or he siphoned life and energy from his mother at that moment, maybe akin to his own personal auswählen but IDK. I'm not sure if Katagiri is the woman that checked on him, or if she's the one that fell over first. I only don't know because I'm not sure if Katagiri would be wearing the "servant" outfit or if she was the one wearing a regular outfit. edit to the above point: I think the lady that rushed to his side is Katagiri, and you can kind of see in the water reflection a quincy energy light up, so either Uryu used anti, or maybe his mother had it before and used anti to effectively trade places with him and giving him anti in the process. ALSO ALSO knowing Ishida being an astute follower of his grandfather's teachings, and bringing that back as his central focus for his actions in TYBW is amazing!
Kubo comfirmed that he was hard rushed after the JH-BB flashback. Also Yoruichi basically invented a Hado spell (which i would rate 80+ given the context). Also also, how the hell does one strategically counter Gerard? Whatever you do to avoid triggering the Miracle will count as "not a moment of crysis", which means that inherently he's able to get out of it (and get his blade inside you) by his own means.
Yeah, he def was. Shunko is def 80d hado level. I think if you do not believenin miracles it works. Nimaya killed him in one hit and that might have been either confidence or his shikai or both. Also. You can destroy gerards cross 🤔
Two great episodes as a perfect ending for this cour.. Gerard's taunt and start of that fight, Askin and Haschwalth going in stron against their opponents, Yushiro was pretty cool and the Visored activating their masks reminded me a bit of the final battle vs Aizen. But seeing Ishida Souken again is my favorite moment in both episodes, Kira's return is a close second.
When gerald throws away hinamori and shinji renji says hinamori and rukia says Captain hirako,in the next few seconds he does the same with byakuya and soi-fon but this time renji says Captain and rukia says Ni-san,showing no concern for soi-fon and i find it very funny 😂😂🤣
Regarding the relationship chart at the end that Askin was talking about; It seems that Huburt was the "I'm the strongest!" type guy that annoyed the other three while they all were annoyed by him. They all were cool with the others, like Nikita thinking that Seydlitz was praiseworthy and that Algora was a good guy though it was mentioned that she was the "Likes to shoot" type of girl.
Ya, cour 4 is gonna be absolutely insane. Cour 4 is gonna be really heavy on anime only content especially bc there are only like 25 chapters left to adapt. Plus kubo has already confirmed that cour 4 will have alot of anime content and whole episodes that weren't even part of the manga that will leave us saying "I don't remember this". I realistically don't expect cour 4 until 2026

Spoilers (about Gerard): The fight with Gerard was ended by aschwalen taking back the core of his life force iirc, after it was stalemated/offscreened with the shinigami and all the new abilities had a chance to showcase. Aka, wrote into corner, tho some fans argued he needed all that power boost or a 'recharge' of sorts for the final fight to come. I do think each time he uses his shrift it uses some form of resource, it cant be used endlessly and omnipotently else it would have been. I prefered to head canon that each usage of Almighty, whether to break a sword, place a trap, ect, was a larger exchange in reishi than a straight forward attack would be hence used sparingly and tactically, albeit sometimes unnecessarily. Given his ability and exchange of 'power' seems to interact with life force or 'souls' in some ways, it stands to reason he needs more than just reishi to fuel his ultimate abilities, and more than simple reishi he is handing out and/or absorbing, hence absorbing the souls of followers at key moments, but such things were never explicit in the manga. Bleach power system is typically convenient and more about metaphors and meta arguments than about making sense mechanically.
Yeah, gerard was used to showcase new powers that could not be inserted elsewhere. I expect the whole thing to go completely differently now. I think kubo had the „real“ ending lined out, i hope they use that in cour 4 :)

I hope they do the Encyclopedia with Askin again for next Cour, because they could potentially have Robert and BG9 have short segments where they reveal their Schrifts. 58:12 - Nikita and the other 2 dislike Hubert, with her being the most hateful towards him, calling him a ‘Kuso’ (for emphasis) rich brat and her thought bubble says that she likes shooting (her thoughts toward Seidritz is that he’s her superior and Argola is a good person to her, which is the same for Argola’s thoughts on her.) Seidritz thinks that he’s the right hand of Ywach/Our Majesty, Nikita is strong and devoted, Argola is reliable, and that Hubert is efficient, but still green. Argola thinks that he needs to be better, different wording but basically thinks that Seidritz is also a good person, and that Hubert is troublesome. Hubert shouts that he’s the strongest, thinks that Nikita is inferior, Argola is a loyal subordinate, and that Seidritz is an annoying old man.

As much as I hated how they cut the last episode in half and we got some Askin shit nobody was askin' for... I genuinely enjoyed that part! Askin is such a fun character! Not liking him might be... fatal.
So new theory. do we think because 2 Ywach-like successors exist that the almighty was split between them. hashwalt can see the future but uryu can change it
Well, it took me time to recollect my thoughts to comment and add stuff. First of which now that we know the names of the OG Schutzstaffel I don't think that they'll be bystanders and cameo, also I have a feeling the Vizards role is gonna be capital in the defeat of Gerard so will Rangiku, the first due to hollowification, the latter due to likeness. The Askin battle is gonna be epic I am sure of this. And under the light of Uryu's Vollständig I guess the battle of the GOATS is gonna be longer and more epic and I would love for it to be so. I do see the possibility of a lot of flashbacks.

The "tree" in the beginning from Utitakes corpse or Mimihagi reminds me of the blood which was shown earlier which connects all Quincy to Ywach (but havnt rewatched this scene could be completly wrong about it)

I feel like if there was a Quincy like Jugram it could be one of Ichigo’s little sister specifically Yuzu, because she’s definitely a Quincy and like Jugram never produced a spirit bow unlike Uryu, also for some reason hollows target her more than the rest of her family. Also I like Gerard, as gods last solider he better be just as strong, I even like the way he died, like Nanao not needing a lore dump to justify her sword Gerard doesn’t need an army or Isshin and Ryuken to do it. If Bankai Kenny couldn’t cut his cross nothing else should in my opinion.
After this Cour, part of me actually wants Yhwach to destroy the world 😂. In my opinion, the Soul Reapers are the bad guys. Not necessarily the current Gotei 13 and Sereitei, but Ichibei and those noble families, man. I'm also starting to question where Soul Reapers actually come from? It's clear that Quincies are Soul King Adneyeus' true people. Like Pernida said, they were always a quincy. I mean the fact that the Soul King's Left Arm and Heart exist within the Quincy ranks in an almost pure form but the Right Arm within Ukitake basically devoured his internal organs in order to be activated shows that it is incompatible with Soul Reapers. The Soul King was apparently keeping some great evil at bay and we still don't know what it is. I feel like the Soul Reapers might actually be denizens of Hell and are a sort of separatist group that cut up the Soul King and used his power for their own means. I don't know man. Everything about the Soul Reapers is just shady to me now 😂.
If Yhwach is the father of quincy shouldn't Ichibe be considered as the father of soul reaper? But clearly he isn't portrayed that way. Also i don't read the manga but i don't really see discussion being made as to whether Yhwach and Ichibe are technically considered as Siblings. I hope we would get way more backstory for the Primordial World.

Technically Ichigo would beat askin pretty easily, the reason askin got the better of him is because he was able to adjust the flavor of his poison by taking advantage of the density of reishi around them that the quincy control. The quincy have a homefield advantage. Remember askin asked Ichigo if he had done training from Osho. Initially ichigo wasn't experiencing reishi poisoning, but after learning about Ichigo's training askin knew he had to

If he didn't have time for an incantation he would have done more with a more efficient, lower level Kido or better yet a Cero. It's how I know I'd be doomed to squad 12 if I were a soul reaper, because I absolutely would make a spreadsheet to determine my optimal input/effect Kido range.

Ich denke, das ist ein Plothole was schon in dem Manga in frage stand. Auch warum Bazz B und Jugram noch am Leben sind und die anderen Quincies Tod sind, was man durch Yamamoto Bankai gesehen hat. Sehr viele offene Fragen um die zwei, ich hoffe es gibt ein Flashback noch wie es überhaupt zustande kam. Über Pernida weiß man ja mehr oder weniger durch Episode 24, aber Gerrard ist noch ein unbeschriebenes Blatt.

Ja, gibt wenig bleach fans die ich kenne. War vor jahren (2011 oder so) auf der animagic und hatte da ne gruppe bleach fans getroffen, das war richtig cool. Aber bleach war damals eher nische, da es keinen dub gab und es nie im fernsehn kam :(

I think if you do not believenin miracles it works. Nimaya killed him in one hit and that might have been either confidence or his shikai or both. Also. You can destroy gerards cross 🤔
Two great episodes as a perfect ending for this cour..
Gerard's taunt and start of that fight, Askin and Haschwalth going in stron against their opponents, Yushiro was pretty cool and the Visored activating their masks reminded me a bit of the final battle vs Aizen. But seeing Ishida Souken again is my favorite moment in both episodes, Kira's return is a close second.
When gerald throws away hinamori and shinji renji says hinamori and rukia says Captain hirako,in the next few seconds he does the same with byakuya and soi-fon but this time renji says Captain and rukia says Ni-san,showing no concern for soi-fon and i find it very funny 😂😂🤣
Regarding the relationship chart at the end that Askin was talking about; It seems that Huburt was the "I'm the strongest!" type guy that annoyed the other three while they all were annoyed by him. They all were cool with the others, like Nikita thinking that Seydlitz was praiseworthy and that Algora was a good guy though it was mentioned that she was the "Likes to shoot" type of girl.

Ya, cour 4 is gonna be absolutely insane. Cour 4 is gonna be really heavy on anime only content especially bc there are only like 25 chapters left to adapt. Plus kubo has already confirmed that cour 4 will have alot of anime content and whole episodes that weren't even part of the manga that will leave us saying "I don't remember this". I realistically don't expect cour 4 until 2026
I hope they take the time they need to delicer the quality of cour 3 :)

The fight with Gerard was ended by aschwalen taking back the core of his life force iirc, after it was stalemated/offscreened with the shinigami and all the new abilities had a chance to showcase. Aka, wrote into corner, tho some fans argued he needed all that power boost or a 'recharge' of sorts for the final fight to come. I do think each time he uses his shrift it uses some form of resource, it cant be used endlessly and omnipotently else it would have been. I prefered to head canon that each usage of Almighty, whether to break a sword, place a trap, ect, was a larger exchange in reishi than a straight forward attack would be hence used sparingly and tactically, albeit sometimes unnecessarily. Given his ability and exchange of 'power' seems to interact with life force or 'souls' in some ways, it stands to reason he needs more than just reishi to fuel his ultimate abilities, and more than simple reishi he is handing out and/or absorbing, hence absorbing the souls of followers at key moments, but such things were never explicit in the manga. Bleach power system is typically convenient and more about metaphors and meta arguments than about making sense mechanically.
Yeah, gerard was used to showcase new powers that could not be inserted elsewhere. I expect the whole thing to go completely differently now. I think kubo had the „real“ ending lined out, i hope they use that in cour 4 :)
The wait for part 4 is going to be agonizing, especially knowing that it has the most changes from the manga of all the parts. It’s been a blast watching this with you all, see you again when the new season drops!

I hope they do the Encyclopedia with Askin again for next Cour, because they could potentially have Robert and BG9 have short segments where they reveal their Schrifts. 58:12 - Nikita and the other 2 dislike Hubert, with her being the most hateful towards him, calling him a ‘Kuso’ (for emphasis) rich brat and her thought bubble says that she likes shooting (her thoughts toward Seidritz is that he’s her superior and Argola is a good person to her, which is the same for Argola’s thoughts on her.) Seidritz thinks that he’s the right hand of Ywach/Our Majesty, Nikita is strong and devoted, Argola is reliable, and that Hubert is efficient, but still green. Argola thinks that he needs to be better, different wording but basically thinks that Seidritz is also a good person, and that Hubert is troublesome. Hubert shouts that he’s the strongest, thinks that Nikita is inferior, Argola is a loyal subordinate, and that Seidritz is an annoying old man.

Well, it took me time to recollect my thoughts to comment and add stuff.
First of which now that we know the names of the OG Schutzstaffel I don't think that they'll be bystanders and cameo, also I have a feeling the Vizards role is gonna be capital in the defeat of Gerard so will Rangiku, the first due to hollowification, the latter due to likeness. The Askin battle is gonna be epic I am sure of this.
And under the light of Uryu's Vollständig I guess the battle of the GOATS is gonna be longer and more epic and I would love for it to be so.
I do see the possibility of a lot of flashbacks.

I feel like if there was a Quincy like Jugram it could be one of Ichigo’s little sister specifically Yuzu, because she’s definitely a Quincy and like Jugram never produced a spirit bow unlike Uryu, also for some reason hollows target her more than the rest of her family. Also I like Gerard, as gods last solider he better be just as strong, I even like the way he died, like Nanao not needing a lore dump to justify her sword Gerard doesn’t need an army or Isshin and Ryuken to do it. If Bankai Kenny couldn’t cut his cross nothing else should in my opinion.
After this Cour, part of me actually wants Yhwach to destroy the world 😂. In my opinion, the Soul Reapers are the bad guys. Not necessarily the current Gotei 13 and Sereitei, but Ichibei and those noble families, man.
I'm also starting to question where Soul Reapers actually come from? It's clear that Quincies are Soul King Adneyeus' true people. Like Pernida said, they were always a quincy. I mean the fact that the Soul King's Left Arm and Heart exist within the Quincy ranks in an almost pure form but the Right Arm within Ukitake basically devoured his internal organs in order to be activated shows that it is incompatible with Soul Reapers.
The Soul King was apparently keeping some great evil at bay and we still don't know what it is. I feel like the Soul Reapers might actually be denizens of Hell and are a sort of separatist group that cut up the Soul King and used his power for their own means. I don't know man. Everything about the Soul Reapers is just shady to me now 😂.
If Yhwach is the father of quincy shouldn't Ichibe be considered as the father of soul reaper? But clearly he isn't portrayed that way. Also i don't read the manga but i don't really see discussion being made as to whether Yhwach and Ichibe are technically considered as Siblings. I hope we would get way more backstory for the Primordial World.

Technically Ichigo would beat askin pretty easily, the reason askin got the better of him is because he was able to adjust the flavor of his poison by taking advantage of the density of reishi around them that the quincy control. The quincy have a homefield advantage. Remember askin asked Ichigo if he had done training from Osho. Initially ichigo wasn't experiencing reishi poisoning, but after learning about Ichigo's training askin knew he had to

Sehr viele offene Fragen um die zwei, ich hoffe es gibt ein Flashback noch wie es überhaupt zustande kam. Über Pernida weiß man ja mehr oder weniger durch Episode 24, aber Gerrard ist noch ein unbeschriebenes Blatt.

Ja, gibt wenig bleach fans die ich kenne. War vor jahren (2011 oder so) auf der animagic und hatte da ne gruppe bleach fans getroffen, das war richtig cool. Aber bleach war damals eher nische, da es keinen dub gab und es nie im fernsehn kam :(
