I agree; this style is versatile and elegant. I can't flat twist neat to save my life, but I can cornrow - lol. I am going to try this style, either with cornrows or flat twists. TFS!
You’re the opposite of me 😂 I try so hard to get my cornrows to be neat. That’s when I feel a meltdown coming 😭 I just decided “you know what, twists are the way to go.. These cornrows are not ganna kill me OKAY!!” 😂 but I will keep trying!

I used to be in same stage but my hair was growing and the ends were breaking off so it kind of just stayed in that flow but I trimmed my hair and now it's doing better

I was getting frustrated with the twist outs not working for me and was debating going back to the creamy crack but after I tried this style I absolutely love it!!! Thank you so much!!!
YESSSS!!! Right when you said that you feel that your hair's been at one length for a while, I was gonna make this comment, but then you continued and you already got it.
I also feel like my hair's length hasn't changed much for a couple years honestly, but I was looking at some natural hair growth journey pictures to get a grounded view of how natural hair grows and how long it takes, and I noticed something interesting. In the first couple years of the journey (from TWA stage), the length increases drastically. Then, once it's at about mid-length, the length doesn't change much for a couple years, but the hair gets fuller and fuller. Then, the hair continues growing with a balance of the two. So, hair doesn't only grow down (length), it also grows in (fullness).
When I looked again at pictures of my own hair journey, I noticed that my hair has actually gotten a lot fuller, even if not longer. So, yes our hair is still growing-- it's just a different kind of growth. Trust the process!
Tried this early on in the pandemic when my hair was shorter and I was in the early stages of learning how to braid my own head. My flat twists looked like blobs lmao. I've been doing spring/cuban/kinky twists in the months since and am excited to try this again with my longer hair and improved skills!

Today is June 10th, 2022 and I am excited about finding this video. All I have been finding are wash and goes. I have been trying to find braid outs and twist outs. My hair is growing back from having breast cancer twice and my granddaughter has been braiding my hair and sometimes she put rollers on the ends. Thank you for your video.

Superrrr cute! That length was the hardest for me because I got bored.. started coloring and flat ironing, set me wayyyyyy back.
