@@williambrewer6346 thanks for stopping in! It's getting harder and harder to find quality parts. We're all struggling with this situation. Happy Harvest!
The 4 basket Krone had rims that were secured with 4 lug nuts, the tires and rims from a Trailer Supply company would fit but you had to enlarge the spindle hole in the rim.... Our New 8 basket Krone has the spindle mount rims, so jury is still out as to what is needed..... Most wheel bearings have a larger inner bearing and a smaller outer, common practice.....
@farmingforfunandprofit940 thank you for the info. I had no idea about the two different sized bearings since the aftermarket wheel was advertised with two 1" bearings. It was also advertised to fit New Holland, so it was quite the OMG moment. I learn something new everyday, especially, from folks like you Mr. David. Thank you so much for helping out.
Those tedders seem to be built so cheap to me. That’s ridiculous. You gotta do that much work just to get a tire off. It’s like they were trying to build that using the least amount of material they could.
@michiganhay7844 The wheel had definitely become one with the spindle. It shouldn't have taken all of that effort to get the wheel off but I guess years of grime had it welded in place. True, I do believe there are better designed tedders available. This was a "new to us" tedder we got about 6 years ago. The width is awesome, but it did come with some previous damage that makes it a bit tricky at times. A real "can of worms".
I have a Vermeer with rough bearings that I’ll have to replace soon, thanks for the information!

@@TheJfitch Ain’t that the truth!
Hope it works well for you. We have found some bearings at TSC that fit our baler tires. Have a great week.
Thank you! It started out great and then the poor tire gave up on me. 😂 I should have known better.

I should be complimenting you on your varosity to tackle a repair that would confound most men!
