How to make Silicone Leaf mold. DIY Veiner for Leaves

  • Hi! This is a video tutorial on double-sided silicone Molds for leaves! I use it for making polymer clay leaves in my food miniatures!
    For making it I used Easy Mold Silicone Putty, leaves, and baby oil.

      That’s what I’m using it for. When you use the clay, let it dry in the mold or take or a hint of olive oil or badger balm to prevent sticking the clay.

    This method looks great, though I'm not sure how I'd take a thin Fimo leaf impression from between the 2 halves of the mold without distorting it.

      Hi, sorry for the late reply :) This method worked great for me! But I understand your concerns.. I apply starch or damp the mold with water - it helps me remove the leaf without destroying it. I hope this will help 🙂

    This is terrific! I have some leaves in my freezer I was saving for a special project.
    Now I can make molds with them and have them forever! TFS
