Thermocol get damaged after sometime. One of my friends used it in the terrace to get the roof cold but it got pressed while using the terrace. He got the thermocol removed and again made the terrace wasting lot of money and time.
Thermocol or other petroleum based polymers are being used in wall panels for thermal insulation, but are a huge fire hazard and generate poisonous smoke, just like happened in the Grenfell Tower Building fire on 14th June 2017. Anyone can see youtube videos of this fire and read about it on Wikipedia. The companies responsible are now promoting these hazardous polymer panels for mass housing in India. There use in isolated houses in sparsely populated cold regions is understandable, as well as for storage of ice cream and frozen products. Most of India has a short winter but a long summer. So the use of such polymers for insulting Air Conditioned rooms, halls, party halls, restaurants, etc., is very very hazardous. On the one hand you have high electricity consuming ACs and on the other hand flammable polymer insulated wall panels which can easily catch fire by a single sparking loose or heated connection. It is a sure recipy for fire disaster and depending on the polymer can also generate poisonous fumes. Most building fires nowadays keep burning and are difficult to extinguish because of these highly flammable insulating wall and ceiling polymer panels made out of petroleum.

There would be cracks in wall at a later stage because thermocol get squeeze after sometime
Thermocol is so light weighted, that even in worst case of squeezing it can not develop cracks in hard cement wall .
No my guard room is made. From this same technology but after 4 years there is no crack in wall
