I have the same amp and it sound phenomenal !!
One of my favorite so far!
7 years later, sounds always so good!!!
Amazing tone, good to see my old teacher killing it! :)
Dave is the best :)
He really is! :)
+Mike Bradley i remember he from Lick Library days like 6-7 years ago , he is so damn good guitar player :)
so you are like Rob Chapman then! You have both been taught pretty fucking well!
Stephen Owen Taught me when I was at the ACM in 2000 - 2001 :)
I attended to one of the Steven Wilson's Hand Cannot Erase gigs in Mexico City. Near to the end of the gig I had the opportunity to come closer to the stage, almost right in front of Dave. I don't really remember what song they were playing at that moment, but he started to play an amazing, an epic guitar solo. I was astonished, and I think I had the astonished face too, because when Dave turned and observed my damn face he started to laugh. Before the concert I was kinda dissapointed because Guthrie wouldn't be there, I'm really happy to had the opportunity to hear and watch the virtuosity, tone and feel of Dave's guitar playing, it was one of the best days of my life. He's a living legend and a cool dude.
What a wonderful person and guitarist. Legend
Steven Wilson always works with the best musicians out there. Dave Kilmister is one of them.
I have to admit, that amp tone was glorious!
Being from Montréal let me just say how lucky and privilege you are to have a concert hall like this...Simply magical...
I have seen this video for so many times, but goddamn, it still brings a smile on my face. Such good vibes all around and the tones, damn.. Dave is such a killer bloke and player.
Holy shit, that tone, it's mindblowing. Kilminster seems like a great guy.
+Carlos Gonzalez he’s wonderful :)
What a genuine guy and great guitar player!
Bloody tone. I can't handle it, even just through my phone. Mega player, equally mega sounds. Gear envy is a dangerous thing.
I love how Steven Wilson is like: "oh, I can't have one of the greatest guitar players in the world? Let's bring another one of the greatest. How about the guy that plays for Roger Waters?"
The same thing about drummers
Dave was brilliant in this show - great insight to this pedal's setup.
Watched this about 8 times now :-D
It's MINT!!!!!!!!!
Glad you like it Gary :)
Just finished my third time around... :)
That Pedal Show Are you glad that i like it too ....? Or....just gary? Gary is kind of a dick.
I'm on my third or fourth time myself for both Dave and Steven!
Mind shattering gig last night in Manchester. Dave did some stellar solos, real old school and amazing tone. His backing vocals on open car were awesome.
Yeah, he's a great singer too
Such a great video, I seriously want to cry.
Yeah, he really is amazing
+That Pedal Show I just love the enthusiasm all around. I makes me very happy.
Always Dave from guitarist cd's all those years ago, brilliant guitarist so pleased he joined Steven on tour, superb
Greatest live show I have ever been to!!
Check out Yeeshkul. Brother Ruprecht has put up a pretty good torrent of this show (and the first night)....
Just saw him two nights ago with Roger Waters. I will say, one of, if not THE best guitar sounds (and playing) I’ve ever heard live!
Yep, he’s extraordinary 🤗
I was fortunate enough to go to both of the Royal Albert Hall shows and it was absolutely epic. All of these incredible tones, plus Ninet, plus surprise Guthrie ... Unforgettable.
I was there on the second night, truly amazing
Ken Hensley, John Wetton, Roger Waters, Steven Wilson. Well done, Mr. Kilmister.
What a talented, energetic and happy guitarist
My god ( for the love of god ) this heavenly . You are a genius Dan. It is such a relief to now know you can facititate multiple presets with the G2 , and that you truly understand the need for presets for live use. cheers and thanks
Had the pleasure of seeing the both the Royal Albert Hall and the Colston Hall gig.
Dave and the band sounded absolutely killed!
It was a stunning concert.
This probably my most favourite pedal board run down of all time!! 🖤
This Guy has been one of my favourite Guitarists since about 2002.
Yeah, Dave is a true artist
I agree with Dan, that sound is incredible.
Nah.. Steven won't watch this video.. RUclips uses too much compression... :-)
+Stratomacaster Hahaha
+Stratomacaster
Genuine humour
Greetings from Ecuador. Kilminster is a monster. Beautiful tone. Thanks for this and Steven's rig rundown.
I've seen the show twice on this tour, and both Dave and Steven sound immense. It's also brilliant to see Dave's enthusiasm for the music coming through here. Thanks boys!
When Dave and Steven play in unison it really is remarkable. Killer tone
I can only imagine what it sounds like in person. All of those tones were fantastic, but that sustain!!! Love it! Note to self: Sell car, buy a Brunetti. :)
Go and catch a gig if you can, what a sound
+That Pedal Show Dan, the main lead sound we heard at the beginning of the video, was that purely the brunetti lead channel, or a combo of things.. Didn't catch the info for that... Top video, cheers!!
It sounded like the sound nearer the end that you explained was lead ch. boosted with Zendrive....??
That channel 2 sound is what everyone who ever strapped on a Les Paul has likely been chasing since forever. Astounding!
I know, it's just crazy great
This is so cool and perfect. The two of them are having fun and then Dave playing lots of different things is awesome.
+FrodoBaggins44 Dave is the best!
what a nice guy :) and his tone... just wow
i love how much daniel and mick are in to it because i am to.
No other reason to do it is there? ;)
Dan you have completely changed the way rig run downs will go from now on. No more of this .... Guitar into pedal into pedal into pedal etc into amp. Pretty soon every artist is going to have a G2 (if they're smart anyways) and it's now guitar into THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS into amp! Genius!!!!
Ah, cheers Steve :)
The best tone I've heard in a long time.. Those P90's are killing me... amazing!
Yeah I know, just phenomenal
So much wow, even on the second watch. He has great feel.
Yeah, very special guitar player :)
What an amazing guitarst. Especially love the roger waters us and them tour. You nailed every note dave. Dan youre awsome too man
Brunetti amplifiers, absolutely amazing!
Great video. Loved his work on the wall tour.
Have to revisit this video. I remember the Zendrive Demo. Had a Zendrive in a box for a few months. I finally put it on a pedalboard. It sounds killer into my 65 AMPS' Empire.
Dan just completely losing his shit right there!!!! :-D
Yep :)
Jerry Cantrell Crybaby wah, Suhr Riot, Strymon BigSky and Timeline... Four of my dream pedals on one board. Add a Whammy and I'm good for life!
Yep, not much you cant do with that lot :)
+Dan Mosher get them ! I'm owning the BigSky and TImeline since a few months now, so many ways to get amazing tones out of these monsters !
Riot is great, too. Tested it at a friends house, way too much distortion for me, I prefer using a TubeScreamer to slightly compress my distortion sound :)
Saw him with Steven Wilson last Friday, hell of show, incredible tone! Greetings from Chile.
+Mario Mayer a truly wonderful human
Lone Star! Respect!
I love this guy
He's an absolute monster of a player! Great video chaps!
Lots of love for Dave, special guy, special guitar player
My first gig was Lone Star too. I love his outro on Comfortably Numb (the movie). Jaw dropping tone. I'm a big fan Dave. Keep killing it!
Great work - 2 guys clearly loving what they do.
Cheers David :)
+That Pedal Show I followed you here from the Gig Rig channel...because I'm a tone hound! But tragically I had never heard Steven Wilson. Well, after watching today's videos I bought The Raven album right away!!!
+David Knox You won't regret it if you're even slightly amenable to prog. I think The Raven and his latest are two of the best albums released in the last 20 years.
+adam872 I don't doubt it Adam I'm loving Raven! It seems Steven hasn't had the coverage he deserves or maybe I just wasn't paying attention!
Oh man. He's crushing those tones.. That's Dave sorted.
I can't help but feel this anticipatory impending Guthrie video jiggle..
Dave Kilminster seems like such a genuinely nice guy, definitely one of the lads,,,,,, who’s feckin awesome on guitar !!! 😍🎸👌🔥🔥🔥
I saw Dave playing with Roger Waters last night (3rd time I've seen him with Roger), and my god, dude. His tone is AMAZING!!
+MA L He’s the man!
Wonderful
"Yeah, this is why I can't believe it actuallyy doing this. I thik the guy is a genius... He's not gonna see this, right?"
And this is what admiration is all about, folks! You go, Dave
Yes! Excited for the new channel to start!
Cheers Chuck :)
Dude, yes!! I've been waiting for this one! Awesome!
:)
+That Pedal Show I just gotta comment again. That was so, so cool. Thank you. You've made this shitty day I've been having into a much better one. :D
ps: how great is Dave Kilminster, right? What an inspiring guitarist!
Ninet
What delicious tone?!! I've done many an interview with artists at the Albert Hall and it's of course a very special venue which has a 'sound' all of its own but can be tricky to balance as a few engineers have confided in me. Like I said on the Steve Wilson upload - these videos are great - thank you for taking time out to get them online for us tone-hounds to enjoy!
Entirely our pleasure. Very special artist, truly wonderful tone :)
Brilliant thank you.
Saw this guy with Roger Waters tonight and all I got to say is what a player. And those Brunettis are smoking sounding
+FunknRoll95 Dave is amazing, and yes, those Brunettis breathe fire :)
My quarter annual watching of this video, more than that I️ start to lose my mind. Still, the greatest solo tone I’ve ever heard
+Justin Garcia yep, it was just unreal
I'm a bit behind watching this one,but one of the best I've seen.I'm not to familiar with Dave, but I will be.
Keep it together Daniel, Keep it together.. lol! Serious amount of amazingness going on there though!
Hard to keep it together Jerry, just sounds too good :)
Loved it as always, but hearing Ninet's soaring vocal on Routine was alone worth the price of admission. I need to find a full performance of it on YT. Dave seems like a top bloke and he's got a wicked tone too. Having him and Guthrie on stage must have been insane. Steven has excellent taste in collaborators.
No one puts a band together like Steven . I teared up when I heard Ninet sing Routine at the RAH last year. It was the most extraordinary performance. I turned up to the sound check in Bristol to film with Steven and Dave and they sound checked with Routine. Before I knew it... Niagara Falls. In my defence I was extremely jet lagged but it was amazing :)
+That Pedal Show I don't blame you. I get fully misty eyed every time I hear it. I haven't heard music this powerful in a long time. I'm gutted I missed out on seeing him when I was in the UK last year.
He uses the Suhr Riot for the "Comfortably Numb" solo when he plays with Roger Waters.
That pedal kicks ass.
The best sound is a guitar straight to the amp with some mod/delay in the loop.
But this guy has great hands. His bends are pitch perfect. Really nice.
Just getting into this channel! Such great content, thank you guys for doing this!!!
That's so fucking nice :D
Astonishing! Unbelievable!
And the moment:
«What is that sound? Ohh, it is just the amp!» :-D
Yep, just killer
Hemispheres, @ around 10.40? :)
What a player!
Yep, he's awesome :)
Your videos are awesome.
Ah, cheers mate :)
CARISSIMO 👑
up !!! 💯 Umiltà
________ ________________
I love their enthusiasm! :D 5:40
Hard not to be enthusiastic when it sounds like this
+That Pedal Show True!
I saw Steven Wilson and Co. in Copenhagen this weekend. It was pure awesomeness!
Awesome!!
;)
Dear Dave...what do you thing? I ll able ' never play 🎸🎸🎸the reef of edge of seventeen S. N. l ' m 49 years old!!!!! 😂sorry, l dont' know english very well!!!! You are so sweet....Dave! Felicità e fortuna!!❤️🍀
I now need that amp. Wow!!
Me too, it's just unreal
So interesting and so funny! Guys have a great time! And Brunetti rulez!
Yep, gotta have fun :)
Brunettis are quite popular in France and I remember the wall melting sound my friend had hehehe
This is one of the best things on RUclips. That overdrive is so thick but clear and creamy all at the same time. Yummy!!
Quite an arresting sound, eh Raymond?! Sounded absolutely monster stood about three feet away... Thanks for watching!
I love the fact Dave’s board is bigger by 2 inches 😂
Oh man, that tone...
Yeah I know, just killing
that is a great tone
Cheers Paul :)
Can't hear that guitar tone over Ninet's vocals. When she digs in, the earth shakes...
Dig that Hemispheres lick at 10:34!
2.25 Obviously this is a working environment, people are setting up so we have got to be . . . '
'Sod them'.
The sign of a true guitarist. lol
And Bass player.
And Drummer.
And Vocalist.
And Keyboardist.
Hemispheres?
@ around 10.40? That's what I thought!
Is that Gavin on 1:33? Special guest?
Absolutely amazing! Should do the same Guthrie as well! :)
Never mind... I just remembered you already had! :)
I don't own a Brunetti 😭 but this video put a Zendrive on my board. Wow! Makes any amp sound amazing!
+Daniel Bertola yeah, killer pedal
That Pedal Show Now I have option anxiety. Gotta choose between or in combination a JHS @, Zendrive, Tumnus, Prince of Tone, and a Timmy. Can't choose now. All outstanding pedals! I blame you guys. 😎 Cheers
Thats not fair to all the other guitar amplifiers in the world.
love this sentence...
dave is a frikkin god
He's awesome :)
+That Pedal Show Is he as good as Guthrie?
Can someone tell what pedals are on for Regret#9 @ 5:36
That sustain and distortion is insane
Owly McOwlyFace It's channel two of the Mercury and the Zendrive. Possibly a bit of reverb. It's the tone you hear at the opening of the video. Simply inspiring! It made me buy one and I haven't looked back. Cheers!
If someone could answer me on this one intricate thing; Where can I get those green dots ?
Brunetti, best amps in the world.
1:30 yooo is that Gavin Harrison?
The Tom Anderson....wow
Yeah, killer guitar
great video and a lovely bloke and top marks to that pedal show . just one thing that was at the back of my mind as i watch these videos of modern day guitar gods is how come people like rory gallagher made do with a strat an old rangemaster and an ac30 and clapton a strat and a bluesbraker amp to create music thats lived on for all these years later whereas guitar gods of today have to have 90 patches of different sounds the most expensive custom amps and guitars ever but still cant evoke the same emition in my soul ?
+Paul Versey I guess the question could be reversed to 'what would Rory be using if he were alive today?' Minimalism is great, Derek Trucks for example. But he doesn't sound great because he's a minimalist when it comes to gear. Dave Gilmour doesn't sound great because he uses lots of gear, it's about finding the right gear that allows you to sound like you :)
+Paul Versey Horses for courses Paul. It's a good job we all like different things otherwise all music would sound the same. Evoking emotion is what it's all about for sure. Thanks for watching!
