3:41 .... damn, all the times I have watched this music video and I never noticed out of all the masks it could have been, Joey and Paul's are the ones hanging together... RIP to two of the greatest
I'd even say this song is one of their lighter, more mainstream ones. The song and CD as a whole. Both great, but I think this album brought a lot of people into the Slipknot world. Die hard fan, life long, and this CD was definitely their first Radio Friendly one.
Would also like to reccomend Snuff and Unwanted by these guys. Another is going down an Apocolyptica rabbit hole, starting with I'm Not Jesus sung by Corey Taylor, which is a powerful song with a clear but strong meaning behind it. They also have a song with Brent Smith of Shinedown singing for them. Fun fact: Corey Taylor's voice is so iconic and powerful that, when the show runners for Doctor Who needed a good "shout" for one of their one-off creatures, they asked him to provide the voice, and he there's video of him being excited just being able to see the Doctor Who set and everything, a great way to see celebrities as actual people.
Slipknot is fire!! If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be into nu-metal like I am. They made me realize how well elements of hip hop can work in rock/metal
For that album he had my fav mask out of them all and loved the long hair. I do love the new masks for this upcoming album because they went back to their old school look from 1999. I had a friend who hated slipknot and was a huge pantera fan and this album was the one that turned him into a fan. He said he heard lots of influence
I love the song and the video. Corey has an undiscovered broken neck for years (probably from a head first fall from stage), so you could argue that headbanging gives you great muscles in your neck that helps with stabilization. Corey has long hair in several older Stone Sour videos. It was just hidden under the mask in Slipknot.
Subbed. Amazing reaction. Corey Taylor has an incredible solo version of Slipknots Snuff and it is an acoustic version. That would be an amazing reaction. You won't regret it.
Pegasus, for the head banging, the hair does a lot of the work. when I have my hair in a bun it's much harder to get in the groove, once the hair is in motion you need very little movement to keep the rhythm, you get into the groove fast. with short/no hair or done up hair you have to move your head more to get the same effect and that's what gets you an achey neck.
First time I saw Corey and Jim without the mask was when they did Stone Sour videos. Shaun was in Little White Rabbits and the Drummer here was Joey but he was also in another band as a guitarist. Corey is from my home town in Iowa. My son met Corey once when he was at his friend's house who lived next door to Corey's Mom.
If you watch “Snuff”, Corey is the central figure is the video and there are no masks. The other band mates are not in the video, but it will give you a broader glimpse of Slipknot.
One of their classics, cant believe you havent reacted to this yet. If you need an official vid, Devil In I is a great song with a WTF visual. If you don't need a vid, I highly recommend Pulse of the Maggots.
This musicvideo is a genius masterpiece. Back in the days, when this was released, we didnt know how they look without their masks. So seeing this video, where they didnt' wear their masks, was crazy
You should hear STONE SOUR, I was told that was his band before he was in SLIPKNOT, but the 1st STONE SOUR album is great, I can listen to it from beginning to end. ORCHIDS, BOTHER, MONOLITH, IDLE HANDS
You should check out Duality by Slipknot. You’ll be able to see their faces. That song is fantastic and the fan interaction caught on camera is amazing
"Snuff" either the studio version from Slipknot or the acoustic version by Corey Taylor is a necessity! Softer side of Slipknot. Also agree that you should check out Corey Taylor's other band, Stone Sour! 🔥🔥🔥💙💙💙💥💥💥
Check out DJ Starscream. That is the solo project of their DJ Many of the Slipknot members have side projects. Like Corey Taylor (Vocals) and James Root (one of the guitarist) have Stone Sour. The original drummer, Joey Jordison (RIP) played guitar in Murderdolls.
I remember this being a big deal cause this was the first video you could see some of their real faces. Up until then no one saw Slipknot without the masks.
Listen to his other band! Stone Sour. No masks and les aggression. He can sing beautiful songs that go right into your soul. *Stone Sour - Bother* would be my recommandation.
In the music video for Snuff, you see Corey Taylor without the mask. Of course that video tells a crazy story independent of the song, and it in itself could be an indy film.
Theres videos like „Snuff and yen“ where you can see Corey’s face but theres no musicvideo with all of them unmasked, but in Stone Sour you can see Corey and Jim(Guitar) unmasked
Next you should do Brad Paisley's Little Moments with your wife. It will make both of your hearts melt. It even has his wife in at the end of the video
Corey Taylor also did one hell of a cover of DIO's "Rainbow in the dark" btw, if you want a slipknot video without the masks then check out "made of scars"
I think you’d LOVE some Stone Sour. Corey Taylor and Jim Roots original band. Lots of great tunes there for sure. No masks! House of Gold And Bones pt.1&2 is heavy metal meets Pink Floyd. Phenomenal!
Corey Taylor has another band called stone sour the most popular song from stone sour is looking at you through the glass. You should react to slipknots song SNUFF THE ACOUSTIC VERSION WHERE ITS JUST COREY WITHOUT A MASK AND HIS ACOUSTIC GUITAR
Hey BP, I get this vibe you dig Corey, have a look at another project he used to do Stone Sour, specifically the song Brother. Will throw you wild hearing his voice compared to SlipKnot
PLEASE react to Bad Omens!!! They're so good. The singer is amazing 😊 A lot of ppl are reacting to the same couple of songs, so I have a few suggestions. Just Pretend, Limits, Nowhere to Go, and If I'm There unplugged. You won't regret it
It's been a while since I've listened to Skipknot. Since the late 90s. I was wondering why they sound different. Then I realized I was thinking about Gwar, not Slipknot. I'm still confused how on earth I crossed my wires.
The only other songs Corey had his mask off were him, Joey Jordinson, and one other member with Corey's other band Stone Sour, where they don't wear masks
they actually won a Grammy for this song! The only video i can think of when they show there faces is Vermilion, they made masks of their own faces and put them on in the music video, sometimes they used them during vermilion live in the early days
With all due respect, everybody has their own opinions, cool so here is mine. This is one of the last greatest slipknot songs ever written. My album was the first three I especially love the second one Iowa Everest, slipknot to get LinkedIn like LINKIN PARK and Limp Bizkit and korn meaning I’ve always manages the sound nothing like all that stuff I mean with a softer vocals in this song before I forget I think it was just approved to people look we can actually sing shut up
Never was a Slipknot fan.I am a Corey Taylor fan.His unplugged live version of Snuff is brilliant.Just a guy and his guitar. No masks and gimmicks.Oh and you can see what he looks like.
No, they always have masks. In the beginning, no one knew what they looked like under their mask. They wanted to make it all about the music. Slipknot is culture. We are called maggots. There story behind that to. Designs of masks are artistic . There are videos of Slipknot explanations of their masks. Slipknot's Corey Taylor and Clown's sons are in a band Vended. Also, Corey Taylor was not originally the lead vocalist. Corey was in a band called Stone Sour. But put that band on hold and joined Slipknot. But later on, Corey and Jim Root continued Slipknot but brought back Stone Sour. It's great band and very different than Slipknot. Every song has different styles of music. You should really check it out. Now Jim Root is no longer part of the band. Oh, Corey Taylor also has a solo album. Corey has done a lot of covers, written some books, and collaborated with many artists. I could keep going. But I leave rest you to do your research and watch and listen some great music and stories.
I don't think pantera was inspired by slipknot a whole lot, because they released their last album in 2000, when Slipknot was formed in 1995 and released their first album in 1999
3:41 .... damn, all the times I have watched this music video and I never noticed out of all the masks it could have been, Joey and Paul's are the ones hanging together... RIP to two of the greatest
You could tell they were very close.
yeah man if you ever watch the shows Paul was always right next to joeys set. he never strayed to far. them Rhythm bois stay tight
Just noticed the masks of Joey and Paul together. Kinda prophetic.
Makes perfect sense given that Bass Guitar and Drums are the foundation of most song writing and musical structure building.
Snuff acoustic neeeeeeds to be on the list!!!! Especially the live version.
Came here to say the same thing. He won’t even believe it’s slipknot. One of the most beautiful songs ever wrote!
💯
Yes! Black Pegasus would love that song!
@@mikeirvin9967definitely different. Maybe Vermillion part 1 and 2.
Nah just the acc version is needed
One of the few bands that are even better live. Every member is on point & they always give a killer show. Guaranteed to rock your face off!
Im very glad you are still reacting to Slipknot!
Probably my favorite Slipknot song by far.
Ive been listening to Slipknot since a freshman in 99'. Coreys vocals are top tier man. The entire band is top tier. Pure legends.
Please do snuff acoustic live version! One of the most beautiful songs ever wrote. You won’t even believe it’s slipknot.
Incubus is another great band that incorporates a turn table in there music.
Science is by far the best album by Incubus.
@@jlm10181978 S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is great but I personally would say 'Make Yourself', 'Morning View' & 'A Crow Left of the Murder' are better.
I'd even say this song is one of their lighter, more mainstream ones. The song and CD as a whole. Both great, but I think this album brought a lot of people into the Slipknot world. Die hard fan, life long, and this CD was definitely their first Radio Friendly one.

Slipknot is fire!! If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be into nu-metal like I am. They made me realize how well elements of hip hop can work in rock/metal
Slipknot and the term nu-metal do not belong in the same sentence
I completely forgot about this song.
I'm gonna add this to my playlist, before I forget...again.
Corey Taylor has had long hair, short hair and everything in between. Fun fact, the dreads he had attached on his original mask were his own hair
If you drink and smoke before you headbang, you wont get dizzy. It is the power of the music that compels you!
seen slipknot dec 15th last year absolute banging show, all ages kids to 60 yrd old plus, joey amazing on drums
Joey was amazing on drums but you didn't see him last year, he died July of 2021
I am amazed how the drummer was able to play and windmill his hair at the same time..
PANTERA INFLUENCED EVERY HEAVY BAND THAT CAME AFTER THEM .... THEY ARE LEGENDARY !!!
FACTS!!!!
Floods has to be one of my favorite songs of all time
For that album he had my fav mask out of them all and loved the long hair.
I do love the new masks for this upcoming album because they went back to their old school look from 1999.
I had a friend who hated slipknot and was a huge pantera fan and this album was the one that turned him into a fan. He said he heard lots of influence
The influences of rap in slipknot are huge as well
I love the song and the video.
Corey has an undiscovered broken neck for years (probably from a head first fall from stage), so you could argue that headbanging gives you great muscles in your neck that helps with stabilization.
Corey has long hair in several older Stone Sour videos. It was just hidden under the mask in Slipknot.
But I’m glad you’re getting into this. They do have so very deep music. Vermillion is a song you check out also.
Stone Sour - Through Glass
the idea was sooo awesome..!
It started to launch with Deftones, Korn and Coal Chamber back in the mid 90’s
Cory also sang for Stone Sour... and in that he had long hair as well.
My favorite Slipknot song!!!
Branded for life! ❤ Knot nd Corey sooo much!!!
Slipknot and Static-X are just FUN!!!😊❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The new static x guys outfit is madness
Subbed. Amazing reaction. Corey Taylor has an incredible solo version of Slipknots Snuff and it is an acoustic version. That would be an amazing reaction. You won't regret it.
Stone Sour "Bother" Cory Taylor's other band
Also Inhale by Stone Sour.
I’m glad you got to this joint, man.
Long hair helps with head banging lol before I starting growing my hair agian my neck would hurt or I'd see stars lol awesome reaction man 🤘
Pegasus, for the head banging, the hair does a lot of the work. when I have my hair in a bun it's much harder to get in the groove, once the hair is in motion you need very little movement to keep the rhythm, you get into the groove fast. with short/no hair or done up hair you have to move your head more to get the same effect and that's what gets you an achey neck.

Murderdolls was that band Joey was in that you were thinking of.
You would really like Corey's vocals in Snuff (acoustic live) and Bother, by Stone Sour. And those are both without the mask.
This is my favorite song on this album
This musicvideo is a genius masterpiece. Back in the days, when this was released, we didnt know how they look without their masks. So seeing this video, where they didnt' wear their masks, was crazy
Remember this is the first time we get to see some of their faces so it was SUPER EPIC before they went off to separate bands....
You should hear STONE SOUR, I was told that was his band before he was in SLIPKNOT, but the 1st STONE SOUR album is great, I can listen to it from beginning to end. ORCHIDS, BOTHER, MONOLITH, IDLE HANDS
"Less Than Zero" is my favorite Stone Sour song
@soulcontrol6691 I think ORCHIDS is mine, IDLE HANDS is my 2nd favorite
I love that you can tell, me at least, that isn't your style of music but you can appreciate everything going on here.
Let’s get him in front of Pulse of The Maggots..... ooooooo 2020🤷♂️💀😂
He has such a huge catalog to go down with this band it’s crazy
One of my favorite Slipknot tunes 🤘🏻🤘🏻 Check out Gone Sovereign by Stone Sour, Corey Taylor's other band.
You should check out Duality by Slipknot. You’ll be able to see their faces. That song is fantastic and the fan interaction caught on camera is amazing
As someone who lost their mom to cancer i think you should react to dayseeker. Rory the lead singer lost his dad to cancer. Amazing voice to
"Snuff" either the studio version from Slipknot or the acoustic version by Corey Taylor is a necessity! Softer side of Slipknot. Also agree that you should check out Corey Taylor's other band, Stone Sour!
🔥🔥🔥💙💙💙💥💥💥
If he reacts to the live version he can hear how raw he is
@dustinsamson4879 agreed but I do love to watch people react to the music video! Lol. Knox's reaction had me crying laughing
Pantera arguably had an influence on every metal and hard rock band since them.
Slikpnot Is Number One My Fav Band
Isso muito bom 😅😅😅😅😅 maravilha muita violência 😂 agressividade muita 😂😂😂 slipenotas❤😂 maravilha.
There are some unmasked sound checks floating around
Check out DJ Starscream.
That is the solo project of their DJ
Many of the Slipknot members have side projects.
Like Corey Taylor (Vocals) and James Root (one of the guitarist) have Stone Sour.
The original drummer, Joey Jordison (RIP) played guitar in Murderdolls.

Listen to his other band! Stone Sour. No masks and les aggression. He can sing beautiful songs that go right into your soul. *Stone Sour - Bother* would be my recommandation.
Definitely, Bother is a must
Yes there was, Snuff is the name of the song
In the music video for Snuff, you see Corey Taylor without the mask. Of course that video tells a crazy story independent of the song, and it in itself could be an indy film.

Corey's live Home/ZZYZX Road is ❤🔥
Next you should do Brad Paisley's Little Moments with your wife. It will make both of your hearts melt. It even has his wife in at the end of the video
Don't forget about Corey's other band, STONE SOUR: "30/30-150".

8:55 "Did Corey Taylor sing.....(forgets).....Before I Forget?"
The only other songs Corey had his mask off were him, Joey Jordinson, and one other member with Corey's other band Stone Sour, where they don't wear masks
Jim Root, or is it you didn't say his name because he is no longer in Stone Sour.
I'm 53 years old and it does damage to your neck and back, HEAD BANGING, I have been doing it since the 80's
they actually won a Grammy for this song! The only video i can think of when they show there faces is Vermilion, they made masks of their own faces and put them on in the music video, sometimes they used them during vermilion live in the early days
If you want to see a different side to Corey Taylor you should listen to his cover of Wicked Games.
Shout out to Joey, good to see his mask hanging
Corey does an awesome Wicked Game cover with Stone Sour you should check out!
With all due respect, everybody has their own opinions, cool so here is mine. This is one of the last greatest slipknot songs ever written. You should do "Inhale" by Stone Sour
You need to listen and watch the Vermillion and Vermilion part 2 music videos by Slipnot. And you need to react to the band Stone Sour.
Next Nero forte would be fire !
Never was a Slipknot fan.I am a Corey Taylor fan.His unplugged live version of Snuff is brilliant.Just a guy and his guitar. No masks and gimmicks.Oh and you can see what he looks like.
You should check/hear their oldest album (self title) and (iowa) a little bit heavier
Korn-Did My Time or Another Brick In The Wall 1 2 and 3 are bangers you should check out
Gotta react to the new Harry Mack 10 minute freestyle! Banger

We need Devil in I definitely
not sure if youve done vermilion yet or not, but if you havent then they have to be on the list. Both Part 1 and 2.
You need to do some Stone Sour. It is Corey Taylors other band 😊
check out stone sour. corey taylor's other band. they have some amazing stuff too. "bother" and "song 3" are my favorites
Bro you gotta check out Wither. It was a colab from Tech9 and Corey Taylor.

Check the song Through the Glass
Tremonti - If Not For You

I don't think pantera was inspired by slipknot a whole lot, because they released their last album in 2000, when Slipknot was formed in 1995 and released their first album in 1999
