I love making these meals in a jar. They make nice gifts for any occasion. You could take it one step farther and include a jar of home canned chicken or beef, a loaf of homemade bread, put them all in a bag for a meal-in-a-bag.

Could you use a slightly larger jar and add dehydrated meat to this directly instead of opening a can?

I would add bulgar or lentils. It's a great idea for soup you have.

Lentils or bulgur cook for 20 minutes. The noodles would be paste.

Excellent, Jinne. I am using a small diary that someone gave me to write down ideas on how to use preps just in case(for whatever reason) I am unable to guide others. This also stretches the preps well, as if/when it all comes down, I really have no idea how many people my preps may have to take care of.

I buy #10 cans of dehydrated vegetable soup mix to dress up my ramen. I bet it would work great in this. They are all the same vegetable that you named here.

I love soup so I can eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner and one of the reasons is I don't have to fix a whole Lotta different things and have a dish with sides. I can put all my vegetables my pasta if I'm using that meets all in one thing and make a big pot of it. Freeze some of it and then I don't have to figure out what I need to eat for a couple of days on the type person can eat the same thing, so it doesn't matter to me. I love the idea on how you do your pasta though cause I know when I'm making spaghetti or doing something like that I always find little pieces as I break them I don't put them in a bag and do them that way so that was a very good tip 😉 love love love soups and I love that you can put different vegetables and there are certain combinations like you said with the salary in the peas and carrots with the onions. Yum Yum Yum.
We've had a much cooler than normal summer here in North Central Florida and you know we're going to be in the low 80s we've been in the kind of mid 80s getting Garden ready to plan everything for fall because we don't get much of a winter and see that were even go down to the 40s just a couple days within the next 45 days but other than that it'll be warmer . I appreciate the cooler weather and soups are just good anytime 🥣

Great video! I just L❤VE your meals in a jar, they are so wonderful to have in the pantry. I’ve also found that my husband (who is not a super proficient cook) is comfortable making dinner using these - he works from home but I’m not so lucky - nothing like coming home to find dinner ready!❤🇺🇸

This looks delicious. I make something like this from the broken spaghetti. I fry it in a little oil until golden brown, sauté some onions and other ingredients you wish, add a can or jar of some beans (black turtle beans are our favorite) plus a can/jar of tomatoes and broth/water as available. This makes a very hearty soup that I have been told is "Fideo" or a dry soup. It really is satisfying and delicious and has calmed many a hungry belly at end of month in our house.

That looks good and so easy. I like the idea of using broth other than chicken or beef. I canned some corn broth this summer ( only a couple of jars because I threw the majority of the cobs away before I knew they could be used). I plan on using it when I make Shrimp ( can also use chicken) and Corn Chowder, hopefully soon.

Hi Jinne, I love these meals that you make. It gives me some pretty good ideas. I've been up over 24 hours making and canning apple pie filling. I got 7 quarts and it was worth all of the work. I'll probably make another batch later on, in pint jars for strudel and individual pies. And more applesauce. I'll be making things from my orchard in the winter. I'm almost done picking apples. My husband went to town in the middle of this twice and bought several beef chuck roasts and I'm making one into a dinner with veggies and canning the rest. He paid $4.99/pound which isn't great but it beats the regular price. I'm pretty happy about this because I love canning meat and beef is the one meat that I don't have an overabundance of. I'll be eating pork and chicken til the cows come home. Anyway, thank you for another great video.

Hi Jinne, I'm thinking that adding a little bit of lentils would work for the cooking time allotted so that between the pasta and lentils you'd get a complete protein. That way you wouldn't have to add any meat, if you didn't want to.
