Another wonderful idea. I make my own onion and ranch dip mixes in jars too. It's so easy and handy to have on hand.

That sounds great.. I've tinkered around a little bit with an onion soup recipe, but the Ranch is a great idea! I use a lot of that and would love to have a homemade batch in BULK! lol.

This is definitely a new one on me.... never have seen the dehydrated veggies around here.... gotta love online shopping! If you make this anytime soon I'd love to see a picture of the made up soup. Thx.

+Beth Kalbach Thanks Beth. We don't have things like that in my area either. I found those while searching online for a solution. I wanted to create a soup mix but wasn't happy with any recipes I could find. They were all just broth mixtures with only noodles, maybe dried beans.. I wanted it heartier than that. So I decided to create my own recipe and I've been creating lots of them with the goal of not requiring much to be added. Only water whenever possible. I thought of the idea to make it with leftover turkey because I always make that (with fresh ingredients) after Thanksgiving and I wanted to make a gift-in-a-jar equivalent to that. And of course to be a hearty homemade soup, it has to have veg! 🤗 I first found them on Amazon and had been purchasing them there. But then I found iHerb and it's great!

Sounds worthy of trying to me. (and I love online shopping so that's not a problem either... LOL) Thanks for sharing.

Looks delicious Sweetie! This is a wonderful idea! Do you taste test your gifts in a jar?

Yes! I do taste test them! I developed this one by testing and adjusting the recipe several times. We've eaten this one a lot, lol. We love it!

Ooo! I'm going to have to make this for sure! I have everything in my cupboard except the dill weed, so I'll have to pick up some of that.
      Thanks Hun! :o)

+OneVeryHappyBird Really? You have freeze-dried veg? I can't find that anywhere in my area. I have to order online.. But that's a common problem for me. Lol. You're so welcome! Let me know how you like it. :-) I have another gift-in-a-jar mix video coming up soon. I love doing these in the Fall and Winter. I give them as gifts AND I make several to keep on hand at home. There will be more gift-in-a-jar mix videos! 🤗

No, I meant the seasoning part. LOL! You can buy freeze dried foods/veggies at a local store we have here that caters a lot to "preppers." :o) I'll definitely let you know how the soup turns out for me. I can't wait to see your other mixes as well! :o)

+OneVeryHappyBird That's great! I wish we had stores like that in our little "hick town". Lol. But thank goodness for the Internet and online ordering! HaHa. 😄
