NOTE TO SELF:. ADD GARLIC!!!!
Tip for lifetime huricane survivor:. Use angel hair pasta in these recipes. It Cooks in 4 minutes instead of 10-12. @Homestead Corner
Where’s the garlic…gotta add the minced garlic 😂
Exactly!
YUM! I’m committed to making some meals-in-a-jar this year. I have been watching videos on this for two years and haven’t made any yet. 🙄. This one looks like a keeper for me. Spaghetti is one of my favorite meals! Can’t wait to binge on your playlist.
Once again, you knocked it outta the park!!! I LOVE all your meals in a jar!!
Looks yummy! I also would add garlic.
Thanks for sharing your recipes.
Into a quart jar:
4 oz spaghetti noodles
1/2 c mushrooms
1/2 c sausage crumbles (or ground beef)
OPT: 1/4 c carrots
1/3 c bell peppers
2/3 c tomato powder
2 T minced onions
1 T Italian seasoning
Salt/Pepper to taste
OPT: 1 tsp or so of sugar or honey crystals
On high heat, add 5 c water & contents of jar to a pot. Bring to a good rolling boil, then turn the heat down, cover, & let simmer 10 - 12 mins.
*You can add 6 c water if you like, but try it with 5 first, & add more if you want.
Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️
I agree with your shirt 100%
I love that you show the meals prepared! Thank you
Like your shirt...
I need to add tomato powder to my list. Thanks for another great recipe!
Yay .. I got canning jars for Christmas now I can make some meals in a jar 😂
Yum
My neighbor grew up in Italy and she said she always puts a little bit of puréed carrots in her sauce for a subtle sweetness. It’s the best I’ve ever eaten!
I made several of your meals in a jar for my kids for Christmas and the loved them! Will be making more! Thank you! You’re awesome! P. S. My hubby was born in Maine, and I love your accent! I’m a. Midwesterner. Have a great day!
I Absolutely LOVE this this series Jinnie... Have several on my shelves and I'm certainly going to add this one... Mine will all be with dehydrated items however 🤗🤗🙏 Kendra
That is awesome , Thank you Jinne
I've used dehydrated veggies 20 years after with no ill effects!
Appreciate the shirt. Very true.
GARLIC, TOO!!!!!
Great recipe for "Meal in a Jar". Have a great weekend.😊
Hi Jinne 👋🏻
I love your shirt.
As soon as I get some tomato powder I'll be making this for sure. I went an hour away today to Costco to order my new glasses and to shop. I bought some food for the pantry. I am going to town tomorrow to a local grocery store that has chicken breasts on sale. We're in that swath that's supposed to be getting a snowstorm Monday and Tuesday so I'm going to spend that time canning. Chicken, carrots, and bean and ham soup. I might as well make good use of my time so that is how I'm going to spend it. Thank you for this video.
Your bowl of spaghetti looks delish. My hubby's favorite meal. Jars of this going on the shelf.
I can't wait to try this. Thanks for sharing. :)
This one is a great idea!
Looks really yummy! Thanks for sharing.
🍝🍷 Yum
I love your meals in jars. Definitely giving this one a try! Thanks for always sharing with us ❤❤
Looks really good! I would definitely add garlic, and some basil. These meals in jars are so convenient. I've been making a lot of them, with your recipes, and some from other channels. They are great! Thanks for sharing another one with us.
Looks fantastic as usual. Thank you
I really appreciate your Channel, Jenni !!! The meals in a jar 🫙 are ALL good and easy to prepare. I’ve made about half of them so far. They’re so tasty!!
??Question:: Do you have dessert recipes for pint and half-pint jar’s using the freeze dried/dehydrated foods?? I’ve only got the smaller jars that are empty.
I don't do carrots in my spaghetti!! I do use garlic though!! Lol
I like these meals in jar
I am going to do this. Looks wonderful
This looks wonderful! Definitely going to try this!
Awesome sauce!!!
This is such a great idea!!! Thanks os much!!! I have a question about storing a raw nion ~ since onions bleach out toxins from everything it touches, how do you store the part of the onon you do not use? Without even thinking about it before, I always wrapped them in saran wrap, until it was pointed out to me the error of my ways. A paper towel perhaps? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!
Hello have a good evening.
Do you ever put the hot water in the jar and eat from the jar. Is that a possible thought? I am asking because I have my rice cooker that I make hot water I live right now in a room at relatives house. Since I don't have access to things so looking for ways to maybe cook meals that wouldn't take any real room. Thanks for any sugestion you may have. I do make my hot tea or coffee using my rice cooker. That is my appliance I can't live without. I save all of your videos on what to make for jar meals.
I don’t think this meal could be made directly in the jar for a couple of reasons…one, once rehydrated it would take up a lot more space, and two, the noodles wouldn’t get cooked enough. Jinne is amazing, though, and she may have some ideas for meals that would work. I was also thinking that you could use Mylar bags and minute rice for casserole style quick meals.
When I lived overseas I only had a coffee pot to use for my food prep. There just wasn’t another option. I learned to be very creative. For example I let my noodles soak in water in the sun to cook. Your comments brought back memories. Good luck!
Someone said mylar bags won't work for cooking.
@@stevevernon5038 I haven’t tried this personally, I was just thinking of the ready meals I’ve seen and bought that are packaged in Mylar bags.
How many will this serve? Looks good.
Could this be put in vacuum sealed bags also?
Looks good! Where did you get your funnel?
Hello Jenny 👋 I can't wait to make these. I was curious what size oxygen absorber we need for quart jars, and if I decide to add a macaroni pasta and put in pint jars, what size should I use, please? Thanks!
I use 200cc for a quart size jar. 💕🇺🇸
@@HomesteadCorner Thanks 😊
Jenni how many people does that feed? Thanks!
How many jars needed to feed a family? 4 ounces of pasta won’t be enough to feed 2 adults and 2 kids.
How come my dehydrated mushroom taste so rubbery? Thanks
I'm not sure, but it could be the type of mushrooms..
I still think you should start a “ meal in a bag” business. You have the knack and this would be very appreciated by the rest of us. Just saying…….
😊 true that😊❤
