I came to realize when you keep looking for someones potential, you end up with their reality. Once they show you who they really are, pray for discernment and listen to what GOD is telling and showing you.
It takes alot of patience, time and effort. It's hard to never think about the past but that's the only way to a happy future with that person, is to forgive.
Exercise is my go to medicine for healing; long fast walks and Yoga have helped me immensely. Going for a drive helps me too. These things helped me after four deaths in family, and after a disappointing and sad situation that I dealt with 2 1/2 yrs ago.
This right here! I told myself listening to my Pastor before he passed away I was translating his sermon and it was for me. I forgave my ex-husband due to I don't want to be on God's green earth and be triggered by someone else. I want to be free from my pass and leave it in the almighty hands. God made this earth for us to be content in him not hold grudges etc. I want to make sure w/ e I go no one has that power over me to ruin my day or hold me back from experiencing something new. Let go and let God do what he said he will do.

I have been struggling to forgive my parents for nearly a decade, while they have seemingly moved forward with their lives. I am working on forgiving, unloading the burden of petty anger and resentment and moving gracefully forward with my life.

My husband and I read “Anatomy of an Affair” by Dave Crowder and it was eye opening for sure. A lot of folks think all cheating or affairs are the same and it’s the persons fault but never try to investigate past the initial hurt and feelings of betrayal. Not to excuse any of it because it does Breech the covenant in marriage but there is still a chance that the offended may very well helped create the environment for the affair to happen.
I struggle so much with forgiveness. I was with a guy who I really liked back in 2019 and I heard a rumor that he and one of my now ex friends slept together; and I noticed that she was spending a lot of time with him in his classroom; we met at work. No judgement please! I have already been hard enough on myself about dating someone that I worked with. One day she saw me walk by and she ran out of the room. So even if the rumor wasn't true; there was something that was going on with them. How do you fully forgive that? I broke up with him and of course, they are both dead to me but still those unnecessary memories come back of me finding out. The letters L and N are not the easiest letters to hear especially the letter L and he was named after a famous city overseas; so l hear his name a lot.

Leave. Cheaters put your mental and physical health at stake. I worked in medical and seen way to many std stories from cheaters who promise they'd never do it again. I don't want to be negative nilly. Other than that this was helpful.
What if you find out about something that happened 20 years ago when the person was an alcoholic and they claimed they don't remember? Can a person really change. They claim they changed and didn't want to even chance u would leave them.
