The forecast in Epic Ride Weather was really good. I used it to avoid rain, and to time my departure for maximum chance of a tail wind! (or at least minimum head wind...)
Thank you for this series. I have been watching David Weber’s day by day guide to the TransAm but some of your scenery looked much more interesting. I mainly like the off road / cycle path trails you did as the American cars are my main worry. I have seen your stage by stage sections - do you have them joined up in one map ? Well done on the ride, I have learnt a lot of useful tips, hoping to do it in 2026.
Yep, I enjoyed the trails… I was really surprised how good they were in the US. (RailsToTrails.org is a good resource) I don’t have the route as a single GPX, but you could probably use gpx.studio to create one from the route sections…
So good. Excellent tips. Pleasant, entertaining delivery.
Glad you enjoyed it!
