I worked at Stax for a while in 1969. One correction that I need to make is Rufus and Carla Thomas were not brother and sister. They were father and daughter. I really enjoyed this.

Great one!!! I was fortunate to be a teenaged in the 60’s growing up with this great music! My love of music I passed on to my oldest daughter. I always had the steroid playing when at home, singing and dancing while raising my babies. Great music ! Thank you for taking me along and a walk down memory lane!

A lot of good videos you’ve put out lately and a whole lot of good music came out of this place. Elvis had some great recording sessions here as well. IMO some of the best music was in the late 60’s to mid 70’s. Another interesting place with a lot of musical history is The Record Plant up in Sausalito. Last time I was there is was shuttered but heard it was up for sale and hopefully it will be turned into a museum. You can literally feel the vibes from the front of the building just knowing that Fleetwood Mac recorded Rumours there, along with so many other albums from so many great artists.

Elvis recorded there from 1973-75. Promised Land was one that people might know if they've watched Men In Black where its played on 8 track in the car. That tape was actually recorded at Stax. They used to have something about Elvis there but didn't see anything.

The museum honoring Stax legendary musical artists is fantastic!! Love the pimped out cadie and the shag carpeting, nice touch!!

Hi Jordan, loved the Ike & Tina outfits and memorabilia. How nice to see an original Academy Award aswell. Great vlog Jordan.
