I have been consistently voting for the southern most choices in each of the branches of this journey SPECIFICALLY to help you avoid as much of the cold weather as possible. Since this trip is affected by the weather, how about a weather-related destination! The National Weather Museum and Science Center in Norman, OK and also visit the Twister movie museum in Wakita (from the movie) on the way there!

When the weather clears up, I would like to see you go to Dyess, Arkansas to the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home (I think that's what it's called). HUGE Cash fan here. Hey Jacob… sorry about the snow here in Arkansas… normally I could tell you a bunch of things to check out in hot springs but with the weather it’s pretty much impossible to say what’s open or not… as for your next stop it may be a little treacherous to get to but you should go south to the the big easy New Orleans
Mardi Gras is about to start. It’s something to experience once but may be overload. Plus NOLA has been getting more unsafe each day. I live an hour south of NOLA and we don’t even go there much anymore. Sad really. City has gone downhill.
He could always go to a parish outside of New Orleans for some milder Mardi Gras festivities.
Have you ever heard of or been to Terlingua TX? There is also Big Bend national park and a town called Presidio in the area. Also the Marfa lights and prada marfa.... so much to discover and so little time. As always, thanks for great travel videos!

Springfield Missouri: BUC-EE’s just opened in December; plus you should stay at Rockwood Motor Court on Route 66, and take in the History Museum in downtown Springfield.

My granddad (on my dad's side) and Martin Luther King Jr. were both born on the same year, 1929. My grandparents remembered seeing the "I have a Dream" speech on tv at the time. Hope you stay safe and stay bundled up Jacob!
My mother has been talking about wanting to take us there since we were younger. I still have the book they released for this museum. Now we’re adults in our 30’s and 40’s. Might be a good idea to take her, along with my kiddo. So glad you got to go and share your visit with us!

Jacob I looked at the weather and I think you should try Houston Texas out. By Wednesday it's going to be in the 60's.
Get some rest Jacob! Traveling tired, especially in bad weather is not a good idea. You could investigate the Boggy Creek Monster in Fouke, AR or Quigleys Castle and Pivot Rock in Eureka Springs, AR. Not too far so might make for an easy day.
First of all I hope you were able to get some rest Jacob before you get back out there on those snowy roads. As far as your request how about Cedar rapids Iowa? Downtown area. My son lives there and I'm in South Florida so I haven't had a chance to go visit yet so I would love to see the area from your eyes.

Glad you figured out the sleep issue. Don't be embarrassed it could happen to anyone. If you take several meds it could be easy to miss one especially if some look similar. Hope you get a good night's rest 😴💚

Hey, been visiting/ living in Memphis for over 40 years... my advice, see the museum and get the hell out of Memphis. One of the most dangerous places in the US

As for travel, I'd love to see you hit the Kansas City/Leavenworth area. Maybe go to the WWI museum there. However, that might get cold and icy, too. If it's safer to head elsewhere, maybe around Houston?

I hope you stay put until the weather clears a little. Please be safe. I also wanted to mention I've noticed taking B6 and/or melatonin can cause vivid dreams. Maybe revaluate any vitamins you are taking in combination with your sleep meds. Take care. Those roads looked scary.

Wonderful tribute to MLK, Jr., Especially showing the site of the assasination at the legendary Lorraine Hotel was a perfect place to go for the celebration 🎉. He is TRULY one of our heroes from my era of the turbulent sixties n seventies, and being from Detroit and a Hippie Protestor, I have Dr. King, Jr. stenciled in my heart n soul, n I was an upper middle class white teenage girl when I experienced all the turmoil, the 1967 Riots in Detroit, the Black Panther Party n the Yippie Political Party, all things which made me who I am at 66 yrs old today!! Thank you, Jacob the Carpetbagger, for showing us the First Civil Rights Movement Museum in Memphis, Tennessee!!! RIP, Dr. King, Jr.!!!!
