    does it blend ice?

    • @alderandjade
      @alderandjade  Месяц назад +1

      Definitely! For what it's worth, the frozen strawberries in this video are harder to blend than ice. But I just did a video where I blended ice with this and a higher-end Nutribullet. As you'll see the fancier one did better, but the ultra blended the ice too and has zero problem with it: ruclips.net/video/PvfnrS2lSq4/видео.htmlsi=pl-KBRNBJqgiiAlI&t=128

    How does it does compare to the ninja?

    • @alderandjade
      @alderandjade  5 месяцев назад

      I know I need to get over this, but I actually cannot stand Ninja blenders. During the pandemic, we stayed with our in-laws and I had a nightmare of a time with their new-at-the-time Ninja blender. My FIL managed to cut his hand TWICE by accidentally grabbing the blender blade while reaching into the dishwasher. And handwashing that beast was no fun.
      Now that was a full-size Ninja blender and I'm sure the Ninja personal blender is more comparable to the nutribullet, but I really love this nutribullet. It has exceptional power, a solid base, and is used multiple times a day in our house.

      Unfortunately I don’t know as this is my first Nutribullet.
      My last one was this one:
      ruclips.net/video/3IkKxdjKDYQ/видео.html - it made me 400+ smoothies (I stuck it in the dishwasher after nearly every smoothie too) before the rubber piece on the bottom fell apart. I’ve been meaning to make a video on it as I foolishly tossed the replacement rubber piece that came with it 🤦‍♀️ It is a little quieter than the Nutribullet, but I think it’s only because the engine isn’t as strong.

  • @josephthomas2226

    the rubber gear WILL wear out eventually. Ours did after 4 years on our 900 pro. but until then, the 900 was a great blender for making thick shakes. Gonna replace it with the 1200 ultra

      Nice! I think you'll love this one.
      And FYI - If you aren't ready to let go of your 900 pro, you can replace that rubber gear! I've done it with other personal blenders and I see multiple RUclips videos replacing it on Nutribullet blenders too. There are also multiple listings for parts replacements on Amazon too.

    the motor is 88 - 93 decibels. SUPER LOUD. The blades are incredibly dull. The food was pulverized not chopped or blended. Chunks and bits remained. Fingers crossed that my wife can return it

    • @alderandjade
      @alderandjade  Месяц назад +6

      I’m very surprised by your comment as it is the opposite of my experience and I cannot find any reviews that align with your blade complaints either.
      Blenders are loud! This one sounds pretty normal to me. Especially since it only runs at the highest level. My Apple Watch says mine runs at 87 decibels if I put my watch right next to it and I don't ever put my head right next to it… I just did some research and apparently one of the quietest blenders is the Breville Super Q at 82.1 decibels. But that blender is in a MUCH higher price point.
      And I’m quite confused about it giving you chunks of food? Mine blends everything super smooth as long as I have the right ratio of liquid to solids. Otherwise it has a hard time getting all the food down to the blades.
      And I don’t think you meant pulverized. As that is finer than chopped or blended. It is defined as “to reduce to dust or powder.”
      And with that, I do want to point out that this is the personal blender, which is meant for smoothies, dips, and dressings. What were you trying to blend in it?
      I actually just reviewed the new Nutribullet SmartSense blender which can do a lot more. Both because it has more power and it has a full size pitcher which is better for larger foodstuffs. That said, it has the exact same blades. Which so far have blended everything I’ve thrown at them to absolute smoothness. I’m pretty sure blenders don’t need super sharp blades because it is all about the power in the blending….this blender has sharper blades than the Kitchenaid and Magic Bullet Blenders I’ve used.

      I’m sorry this blender disappointed you and hope you find one you prefer. If you like sharp blades, you might want to consider a Ninja Blender. I can’t stand them as I thought they never blended well enough, but they sure do have some fierce blades.

    • @alderandjade
      @alderandjade  2 месяца назад +1

      I'm still using mine every single day for my morning smoothies. And my kids also like to use it to for their smoothie creations so it gets a lot of rough use. Yours definitely should not have stopped working within 2 months! It has a 1 year warranty so you should be able to get a new one: www.nutribullet.com/warranty/
      As for being noisy, iIt's a blender. Being noisy is part of blending. I don’t claim it is quiet, though I would say that it isn't any louder than any other blender I have used and does blend much faster. In my video, I focus on its power, sturdiness, convenience, and quality of the blend. I’m incredibly impressed with this blender and it's clear from the reviews that I'm not the only one.
      I’m sorry you got a bad one. I do hope you take advantage of the warranty and that your replacement serves you better. And maybe there was something wrong with the motor on yours and the replacement will be a little quieter too!
