My name is Shyvonne (Sha-Von). I'm a mother of 6 amazing kids. I'm currently married, but Hubby and I are separated and live in two separate homes (TMI). I love having a big family and wouldn't trade it for the world. I have 5 daughters and 1 son, ages 21-6. My only son is 12 and the twins are 6. As a big family, we have so much to do and get done in the day so this is a glimpse into our one of our evening routines. I hope you enjoy.

Nancy, you said exactly what I was going to say! The kids are VERY lucky to have such a cool, creative and caring Mom. I HOPE they show their appreciation and love for her each and every day. She does an excellent job on ALL of her projects, but the makeovers and transformation of the kid's bedrooms are the ones to ME where she really demonstrates her love by her personalization through pictures, lights, and other decorations that make the room special for the child whose room it is! She is a WONDERFUL Mother!

TEACH HER HOW TO CLEAN UP HER ROOM ALSO AND HELP WITH THE HOUSE WORK.
Paint the wood work , and the doors all , white. It makes evertyhing brighter, and more spacious.
Its definitely a very good transformation...however, f it's a rental then painting the trim kay be a no go..but definitely paint the bed and dressers and desk in white or very little pink and put up light colored curtains
It is a rental so I'm sure she can not paint the woodwork. But all the furniture white with gold accents would be nice.

those doors look like they're oak.. or some sort of hardwood.. that would be expensive. Painting them would be a crime

Was that level app on your phone? My uncle is retired fireman, he saw what I wS watching and asked me to tell you to not overload your extension cords, especially in that great older home. He said many fires in homes, especially older ones are electrical. And be sure nothing is covering the plugs, clothes etc because they can generate lots of heat. Very cute, love the gold stripes
Overload on extension cords heats the metal of the wire, the surrounding plate and the fibre board. Feel it all for heat. Unplug. Notify landlord of heated sockets.Do you have a husband? Inform him.

I had all boys so I was like a drill sgt inspecting their bathroom, they were very tidy did not have to worry about there room being junky and untidy they are grown and still tidy in their own right. 34, 38 with kids my 27 yr old was always organized. Hopefully your girl's will keep the tidiness going...You ever thought Home Decorating maybe your calling. Check into it....You already have a staff of 3👍🏿Peace be with you Sista

Top decorater's tip: White emulsion mixed with a tester pot of your colour choice works out much cheaper then picking a coloured paint. (Mix well, I use a piece of bent wire in a drill)(I am in the UK) so this may not be the case for other places. This room is very teens, loving that gold trim it totally transformed it. You two worked hard. Question? why not open the windows to allow air to circulate? save you both from melting and taking in paint fumes. Love these video's and the brilliant relationship you have with your children. Best part was the dancing.. made me smile.
