Please, please, please make a full recording of this production for all of us who can't be there in person.
I was so sad to be unable to get tickets; it sold out so quickly.

Got this in an E-Mail yesterday: "We are delighted to announce today the cinema release of MACBETH starring David Tennant and Cush Jumbo which is currently playing to sold out houses in the West End. The production will be screened in cinemas across the UK, US, Australia and internationally from 5 February 2025."

@@GermanDoctorWhoFan I too was delighted by this news. I read it was opening worldwide in February. Oops! It seems that worldwide/internationally is code-speak for the white English speaking world.

It sounds like the technology is providing a unique experience for both actors and audience. As someone who often has a hard time hearing at plays, I am delighted and also concerned. What if the technology breaks down? Hopefully it is well done. I saw Hamlet recently at Montana Shakespeare in the Parks and for the first time could hear and understand nearly every word. Dont know what was done differently but it was a fantastic experience!

There are extensive checks before every performance to make sure everything is working, and if it's not there's plenty of time to alert the staff to help (change out headsets or whatever needs to be done). I've been to see two musicals in the last six months where the set stopped moving at a key point and they simply stopped the show, curtain down, fixed the problem, apologised and carried on. Things have gone wrong all the time in theatres since forever, the people working there know how to fix them

I wish I could go to London. I hope I can see it in cinemas in 2025 in Spain.
