It makes me think of these types of vocals completely differently. The wild performances on stage usually make you think it's some painful, forceful experience, but now I can actually see how his voice is a true musical instrument that he has mastered. It doesn't seem like it should be coming out of his body. I have so much respect for this now that I didn't have 5 minutes ago. This video should be used as an ambassador for the genre.

It's all about being comfortable while you do these kind of vocals. If you haven't heard of the kardavox academy I highly suggest checking that channel out. Theres some lorna shore videos on there. My favorite ones are the cattle decapitation videos.

The speed of some of the lines while doing harsh vocals is really impressive! Not even mentioning the technique and just different variations in sound he can produce. I never got good but used to practice vocals and I just can’t even imagine being this freaking skilled at controlling things Will is a beast 💪 Won’t act like I have heard every top vocalist out there but I have been listening to deathcore etc since 2004-2005 and while some of the old stuff remains in my top favorites (Suffokate, Elysia, of course JFAC to name some) I just can’t get over this man’s perfection of numerous techniques. He is a master of his craft don’t think many harsh vocalists can say the same usually they seem to be extra good at 1-3 sounds not like 10 forgive the book I just am stoked to see such progress (and with his course and just being in public eye we will see so much more talent crop up in coming years)

Will actively puts his face in a lot of places, collabs with a lot of people and creates a huge amount of content on various platforms. That visibility and graft is what’s elevated them. (The music is great too of course, but the genre has a lot of great bands that haven’t yet had the same level of attention). Aaaaand I hate to say it but Will does have a particularly NICE face, which I’m sure doesn’t hurt. 😏😆

I agree, if a vocalist can do it calmly they show control, maturity, and a sense of mastery. But if a vocalist shows strain / anger on their face it is not always linked to the difficulty of the vocals as emotion can be a factor as well. A lot of metal vocalists use metal as a vehicle to cope or express their emotion and often that's what their facial expressions are in correlation to. Will just shows us you don't have to be so emotionally invested in your vocals to give us a good performance.
What makes this man stand out from the rest: his consistency and his ability to reach ranges unknown to man… also his godly good singing. Such a blessing to witness in our lifetime

I would say His work in IA isn’t as much a representation of abilities but rather his dedication due to how many takes he does in the studio when recording new stuff. He should definitely come out with some raw one takes like Will does just so people can understand how much production goes into IA albums (which doesn’t mean they’re bad just means they have a niche that sounds great but can’t be implemented live)

Better than the studio version in my opinion you get to hear all the extra pitches and tones his voice that the studio version doesn't have like the second sounding voice to lows gutturals and his epic terrifying smegle vocal and especially his closed mouth vocals I just love it and the rawness and the feeling of primal fear and chills that it gives me as a person who suffers from lucid dreams sleep paralysis and seizures in my sleep my top song from this album
