    I use a Mazzer Super Jolly at home and have no problem with the noise. The clumping is considerably less when set correctly to for espresso grounds. There is also a 320g hopper available that’s 1/3 the size used in the video, it’s the perfect size for home use. Mazzers are also bulletproof, they last for decades if you take care of them.

      Do you mean it can reach finer than espresso ? Turkish for example ?

    Super-late to the comments but on the issue of adjusting the mazzer grind, I use my tamper to gently tap the adjustment handle and get microscopic movements when I want them.

    Great reviews Gail, but you tend to struggle with decimals! The Atom dose increments are .05 second, or 5 hundredths of a second (not .5 as you state on several videos). Half a second is way too coarse an adjustment for these fast grinders.

    What's the maximum timer setting for the Super Jolly and Atom 65? Looking for a home use grinder that I could also use to occasionally fill 1-5 lbs coffee pouches. Would be nice to be able to push the button once and let the machine fill the bag.

    So I’ve found a used super jolly really cheap (~US$200) which is missing the bean hopper. I’ve never owned a grinder but this seems too good to pass up...or should I go with something smaller/cheaper? My initial budget was about $150 but if it’s worth it I can stretch that. I’ll probably only use it for espresso and probably only a couple cups a day.

      James Hooker I got mine the same way. $200, no hopper, no tray. I cleaned it up and got replacement parts ($75 for tray and $60 for a 1lb hopper). I’ve been using it for 3 years now and love it. The noise doesn’t bother me. I say go for it, it’s a great price as long as it works well.

    In real life very few would grind into big deep container, pressing it against grinder thus making sound deeper and louder. But review shows very well advance in grinder tech over last decade.

      That's what I thought, and this is the first time I see it. Strange! Why she use a portafilter? Didn't she know that a big jug touching the grinder would amplify the noise?

    I've used the Mazzer. It will not clump if it gets a bit coarser. The grind size on the video is too fine for espresso.

    Why grind into a stainless steel container and not into a portafilter?

    • @chesterrosa6288
      @chesterrosa6288 4 года назад +1

      Because a metalic jug would amplify the noise, specialy in the mazzer, and it seems that she's advertizing the other grinder.
