I wanted to take a bit of time to digest before I commented. This product is amazing, and I'm amazed that it costs the same as a decent standalone pedal. Decent amount of headroom, 2 channels, a built in overdrive and all that ironheart tone ! Aux in, headphones out, the features go on and on! How can this be as affordable as it is ? I really think Laney have changed the game here. Not because they've done something new, but because they've put all the essentials into a small package that packs one hell of a punch, at an amazing price point. The most comparable products are 3 times as much as this ! I also like how they've streamlined the controls and kept it as 2 channels. The only reason I haven't made the jump onto the ironheart bandwagon before this is because of the irt fs4 footswitch- I just couldn't get on with it. But no longer! I've put my current amp on sale to put towards this! Great tones and playing as usual Paul. Would love to see more content with this thing.
Mate couldn't have said it better myself WTF, 5hey have got to be losing money on these. More content on the way man and thank you so much for your kindness omegasunn you've warmed my heart......my IRONHEART!!!!! LOL 🤘🧟♂️🤘

Then I was looking for this Laney Ironheart pedal, bumped into your channel as well. Love your style, and approach. You seem like an awesome dude, with a great playing style. So signed up for the channel. Keep it up! Greetings from The Netherlands 😀

This is the best video on this pedal amp currently on RUclips, and the reason why I preordered one. I'm playing in a punk/funk band with a Les Paul Jr copy and I was looking for the best no BS solution for an amp. I have an Ampero Stomp which is not only overkill for what I need but also means I need a power amp along with it. All while occupying a lot of pedalboard real estate. This is just a PERFECT solution, I just need a longer speaker cable and this is going straight to my pedalboard. I will probably use a 1x12 on stage for monitoring anyway, but I definitely see myself going straight to FoH whenever possible. Just one thing: is your video on using your 3rd party IRs still coming? It's something I'd probably would like to look into. Thanks man!
@@PaulGlover well deserved :) I’ve subscribed to the channel and watched some of your other videos, great content, keep it up! I’ll be watching the video on IRs when it drops. Cheers!
Paul, amigo, how are ya. What's the effect on 8:10 I'd like to have that as well! I already have the IRT Studio because of you, and the same guitar. Great sound! Even if this video took up to an hour, I'd watch it trough, so many things to learn. Have a good one 🙂 Greets from Belgium
Mate thank you so so much. The effects are a laney Black Country customs the difference engine delay, spiral array chorus and secret path reverb....its massive sound 🤘🧟♂️🤘
@@PaulGlover thank you. Now I have the Boss Digital Dalay DD3 and Reverb RV6. I guess I have to figure out which one to place in that chain. Would you know Paul, which of your pedals causes that left-right sounding delay? That's the sound I'm after.
@Simon Flex you would need to split the signal so if you have a IRF go out left to the rv6 and put it on rev/delay then from the right out go to the dd3 bingo, you have a stereo rig. Send those signals to 2 speakers and the speaker.out from the IRF goes to a cab. 🤘🧟♂️🤘
@@PaulGlover Thank you very much. That one could be a topic for another video. I'm gonna try it out right away. Love your channel, good to see you back in business!
It seems an absolutely brilliant amp, I really love what Laney is putting out in the recent years. To be a fair judge, since you have the whole Ironheart range, I think I’ll need a comparison with the tube version amps like the IRT60!
I love this demo. BTW… I use a Laney BCC Iommi pedal usually. Would this work in the front of this pedal? 🏆🎵 Also, I believe I can use my Pro Co Rat pedal in front of it if I’m using the clean pedal. Have you ever added a pedal to the front to make it more powerful?
@@DielectricFailure hell yeah you can man, the BCC pedals all take this pedal to the next level, I use a steel park as a boost for all my amp and it’s a killer!!!!
@@PaulGlover Does it get close to the Marshall Valvestate tones? I’m looking to make tones like NIN or Fear Factory but possibly using the clean channel and put a distortion pedal there like the Revv 3 or Pro Co Rat.
I love the idea of pedal amps. I got the hotone legacy attack with a 2-10 cabinet. I like it more than what I'm hearing here, but it could be the cell phone speakers.
Ive been experimenting a bit with inexpensive preamps + pedalboard power amps - this one looks to be pretty versatile - So...a bit in, how's that honeymoon phase holding on? Still diggin' it?
Looking at this to run a REVV 2x12 (Celestion Cream and V30) cabinet and possibly also Plethora X5 for effects. Just wondering if this is enough amp to play with a full band. Seems like a real game changer.
It's too loud lol that's my only problem..I am running through a 1x12 cab and my worry is that I am not using the full potential of the amp just because it's too loud.
Realistically can this replace my Ironheart 60 tube amp for practice and gigs? It's impossible to judge the volume levels over a video. Will this give me that raw tube power?
@@PaulGlover Its hard to believe they would release something to trouble their flagship tube amp at 1/3 of the price. Thanks man. I've ordered one, for the price of a set of tubes it's worth a punt.
@david mellors think Laney are thinking if your a tube amp guy you'll have them in your studio and for bigger shows, but for everyone else or fly rigs this or 2 of them is a better option. We as artist have always driven Laney to make there products smaller and more available to everyone...but with killer tone...this little suckered is just the next iteration of that...IRT HEAD.......IRT STUDIO.......IRT SLS......PULSE......now the TRF LOUD pedal. This is the way lol 🤘🧟♂️🤘
Agree the way technology is moving tube amplifiers are going to be something from the past or we're going to keep them home and clone their sound through a Kemper or the new Headrush prime, this is amazing to be honest bro, however I still love tube or valve amps but to carrie them around and maybe damage them is something to think about. I've been also hearing good things about the Headrush prime if you can review it I will appreciate it. Great review of this pedal and sounds almost identical like the real thing.
Will do man. Seems like a one stop shop but the thing is massive. This pedal can fit into your rig not replace it? The future is both dark and bright my friend. 🤘🧟♂️🤘
Make sure it pushed all the way in dude, sorry if it is not being a blurt lol but mine seems to have to stages, if fells in then it goes further. 🤘🧟♂️🤘
@@PaulGlover It’s definitely pushed in all the way but I can move the plug and jack in every direction, it’s pretty loose, none of my other equipment that use this type of jack does this, it looks like it’s going back, to unreliable, it’s sounds great though, if you really want the chugs try a Horizon Drive in the front of it.
Listening on earbuds and when you first went clean with the WDW setup, it was all kinds of wow. Well done!
