NetherRealm really went trimming down on the gear mechanics ever since Injustice 2. In that game characters could look totally different with the variety of gear pieces, even guest characters. Now it's just minor details.

​@@DaWonderManSure but why couldn't they just make it comic accurate? It's a very simple but cool design. I have no idea what they were thinking with the "comic accurate" cape.
I like T.V. Homelander's suit but his comic one is a lot more triumphant and makes him look brighter, larger and more heroic which adds to the irony. I'm a huge fan of the comic suit, so the fact they dropped the ball on it is surprising and a little frustrating. He looks fun, I am looking forward to playing him, but it hurts seeing a comic character not really getting their comic stuff. (Sonic scream.) Imagine Superman as a guest character but you never have the option for the classic suit or his red underwear. Instead you just get Henry Cavill-inspired suits and nothing else.
