Good guy Kabal is genuinely really fun to watch. I like his voice and the conflicted feelings he has over his own appearance/abilities. It’s a shame that he doesn’t get to be around longer. His dynamic with Kano is also really interesting, and it’s a shame he basically becomes a complete jobber with no depth throughout the rest of the Netherrealm era of games.

Did you know kabal is originally is a villain before he join a Special force he was used to be a Black dragon member and he get betrayed by kano and he join Special force, thats how kabal story before he got burned

@@Lydzel In the original canon, Kabal redeemed himself after being disfigured by Shao Kahn’s forces before he is nearly killed by Mavado and saved by Havik, who convinces him to be evil again. In the MK9 canon he is an ex-Black Dragon turned cop who is killed by Sindel and turned into an evil Revenant, where he stayed through MK11. Even when MK11 brought back past versions of characters they conveniently summoned Kabal from when he was still a Black Dragon.
In this movie, yeah Kano betrayed him and caused him to become disfigured and he never found redemption. They just keep turning Kabal evil when he’s the perfect redemption story.

Honestly the movie wasn't really that good inwws extremely disappointed i went in watching it with low expectations cane out if it with low expectations I was suspecting it to surprise me and turned out good but it extremely disappointed me I was suspected a similar situation i had with Halloween 2018 u went it with low expectations but once I saw it I loved it it was a master peace it surprised me I was expecting that but nope I came out just as disappointed as. I really liked Mortal Kombat 9's portrayal of Kabal, it liked his redemption story taking the forefront, that was a great twist on the story that I enjoyed seeing return in MK9 as well as his interactions with Kano on his former role in Black Dragon
Kabal is so great, I'm glad he got to be in the movie no matter how limited his role was.

The MK2021 movie was trash lol the MK story on its own is absurd but this movie was just incredibly underwhelming and simply not-good. The original MK1995 is still the best MK film even with all of its terrible writing and terrible CG.
