After the releasing of Zeal, I started to re-watch/listen to all Kings K produced. Today is probably the first time I've listen to Higher Throne. It's completely amazing! I'm so grateful God reserved this gift to me years after Live in Color. Guys, you have to come to Brazil. I'll probably miss until my own wedding only to listen to you guys. God bless you all.
I love the end of this video and song. It does not resolve. We are in a fierce fight my friends. It feels like a fight for our souls, but I know Jesus already won. Our songs are not our own. They belong to Jesus. They are His to do with as He pleases for His light and His glory. I am a musician that has played in church nearly all my life. I am turning 50 in just 3 days. I have been listening to The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill and now this band and I am undone, crying out for God's forgiveness, asking Him to move in me and take whatever I have left including my tears. I know some things, but not everything, but this I do know--Jesus came to this earth, He said He was God, let others kill Him for their own sake and then rose from the dead so that those who would place their trust in Him and what He has done would live to glorify Him. Whom have I in heaven and earth but you Jesus? No one but You.
The bit at the very beginning is the realest and truest thing ever said concerning man's ability/inability to submit to the call of God via music and the furtherance of His Glory in the earth via a person's musical pursuit - or not. The straight-laced way he put it just made it so powerful. Most would try to make a confession of sorts less convicting on their part, but he just 'said it"! #ministry -- i can't even get to the music for listening to that bit over and over again!
God bless you Chad and band for using your musical creativity for the Kingdom. There really is a void for this kind of music that's clearly christian in message.
It's not just Christian in message, it's literally 80% raw scripture. How much better (and more Christian) could it get? Not just 'Christian music', but pure scripture for the lyrical content. :)
