SSS DEFENCE Rifle Explained in Hindi

  • Fist of all, there was a family of P-72 assault rifles: P-72 Carbine with a 10-inch barrel, P-72 DMR with 18 or 20-inch barrels and P-72 Rapid Engagement Combat Rifle with a 16-inch barrel.
    According to the SSS Defense catalog, P-72 Carbine is “available in 7.62×39 and 5.56×45” and RECR “is available in the powerful 7.62×39 and 7.62×51 NATO chambering. The 16-inch, super-light-contour barrel helps to keep weight to a minimum. The barrel is free-floated in the one-piece monolithic upper, and the rifle utilizes a short-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt”.
    But that is not all. At DEFEXPO 2020 SSS Defense also presented two bolt action sniper rifles: “Viper” chambered for 7.62×51
    and “Saber” chambered for .338 Lapua Magnum.

    My opinion
    Indian Govt. Should purchase SSS Weapons (especially Sniper Rifles)
    Use them for Indian Army atleast for 5 units. Test them & use them. If they r good order more, if they r unsatisfactory let them make new versions.
    But never let our private companies down.
    Encourgae them, Nurture them, support them. I m sure India in next 10 years will be a Big Exporter of arms across world

    Question : fir tank ki barrel smooth kyu hoti hai ?

    • @FauziNomad
      @FauziNomad 4 года назад +4

      The purpose of rifling in a barrel is to impart 'spin' to the shell. ... A smoothbore gun uses all the propellant to accelerate the round without wasting it spinning it up through the rifled barrel. In the case of Smoothbore tank guns the rounds have fins on them which stabilize the flight like feathers on an arrow.

    • @kanduurlakshmipathy1547
      @kanduurlakshmipathy1547 4 года назад +2

      Amol Nagare The reason why bullets are given rotation via rifling when they exit the barrel is that the bullets are small projectiles, hence very slight wind turbulence can cause the bullet to deviate from its intended path, thereby severely compromising its accuracy. The catch here is that some amount of chemical energy generated by the propellant in the cartridge is consumed in giving the bullet this rotation, which in case of small arms is very nominal since the bullet is a small projectile and hence the reduction in the bullet’s speed is also very nominal(since some of the energy available in the cartridge to give the bullets its speed has been spent on imparting it rotation). But in the case of tank shells, since the shell itself is so heavy that air turbulence is not going to affect its trajectory so substantively as to significantly alter the intended trajectory, it does not make sense to rifle tank barrels and waste so much energy in giving the shell a rotation, which would only end up reducing the shell’s speed and in turn its range (ranges at which armoured corps fire/fight are generally much larger than those that light infantry units fight at, hence range of the projectile becomes paramount while designing such weaponry). Hope that clears things up, cheers👍

    We should go with the indigenous rifles..

    Since these are available for testing,we should put them into torture test and improve it. Instead of buying AK103 knockoffs from low quality OFB's... We should invest more on private companies for small arms.

    But sir, Why not these assault rifles are selected by Indian Armed Forces instead of ak-203?

      These rifles were announced recently at DefExpo 2020. Ak-203 deal is a deal going on from 2018.
      SSS Defence had partnered with LMT of USA for the 750,000 AR tender but ITAR blocked the JV.
      So, SSS Defence developed the P-72 series of Rifles on their own.

      @@aniruddhamulay2932 Yes Ak-203 deal is 2018 deal, but the fact is, it's still on paper and negotiation has not been clear on the price even yet, so shouldn't we just ignore the ak-203 and go for these new rifles, afterall they are capable of firing 7.62×39 mm round which Army currently require and are Indian ??
