I was actually a 90s kid, but grew up in a pretty small city and my sister was an 80s kid. So i was able to experience alot of the stuff 80s kids remember (riding bikes with neighborhood friends till sundown, ect).

@WastelandArmorer unrelated question but have you had any trouble with firing smokeless powder ammunition through the 6.5 vetterli carcano conversion, or do you have a good reload for it. I'm thinking that a black powder 6.5 carcano reload would be the safest thing for it

I run factory smokeless ammo in mine with no issues. I would not use any loads with a .268 bullet in mine though. Black powder would be easier on the actuon. Just make sure you check with somebody who is familiar with blackpowder reloading because im of the understanding there are a few quirks you need to know about.

@@kiwiincool609 also please know it’s imperative with a vetterli to make sure its in good shape. No cracks in the lugs, tight barrel ect. If it checks out i think they are pretty safe. I have a hunch the two that blew up on C&R arsenel may have been from using .268 bullets.

@WastelandArmorer yes, no air gaps and needs a wad of lubrication in the case. I'm just worried because of the locking lugs in the rear, not as strong as in the front could sheer off if under too much pressure
