hodl but also trade safer to diversify and in my experience even more profitable if you make smart bets increases my daily 2x compared to not - at least in the past month ;)
any pointers on hold trade etc? Websites or boards? I have a lot of free time and would be happy to share some financial analysis among friends and contribute back. If
for mining I do the 20% every 50% increase in value based in btc not usd. So every time a coin I've been mining increases 50% in value I take 20% of it out and into BTC.
Even if you did have faith in a less profitable coin, you would still mine the most profitable coin then sell it and buy the coin you have long-term-faith in or exchange directly. Also the profitability for the coins touched on in this video are GTX 1060 specific. For instance my 1080's most profitable coin is Monacoin which isn't even mentioned here. So do your homework people!
it depends, if you believe in a coin, then let one of your cards do some work on it. you are then not contributing to increasing difficulty too much, you are still helping the network, and also making a little in revenue. then can also buy more of it.
Unfortunately setting one card to working on currency you believe in is not the best choice. Mining the most profitable coin and exchanging it for the coin you believe in is the best way to help yourself and the coin you believe in. Also, as long as the undervalued coin has even a few people mining it then the network will be fine. The difficulty of a given coin will ensure the network is healthy from only a few miners to hundreds of thousands of miners.
I would have liked to see them all on a graph with maybe numbers for both 400 and 800 mem clock and efficiency numbers and other things so you can appeal to more people( I'm really in to statistics so maybe do a poll if people actually want this)Thismeans less research for people trying to mine who might not have the time to put the research in. Also the not just showing a graph if u do make one also explain it to novices. I remember that was super helpful for me when I was starting out with PC building in general. Anyways I think your doing great keep up the good work and I really like the graphics on ur channel really makes it feel professional.
Michael Luna just got to what to mine dot com and it tells you what is the most profitable for your card if it's on it. Otherwise if you know the hashrates it will find it for you that way too. Then Google how to mine that coin and follow the guides out there
i'm aware of that, but its kind of like reporting the news. kind of document what's trending. I already go to what to mine, and I do my own. but I'm just making this suggestion because a lot of people have this "whats best to mine" question.
You might want to mention that the Electroneum online wallets were released today and that many investors dumped their stock. Subsequently, the price was essentially halved. Things seem to have stabilized for the moment, but profitability for ETN will definitely vary significantly in the next few days.
lmao @ the nicehash profitability checker joke :D nice one !!! you covered the quick return and mine to hold strategies really well, it's a hard video to make when everyone is after different things lol but a lot of really good information here and the best advice of all "do your own research to suit your own goals" Nice video !!
Mining ETH on my 1070 and Monero on my R5 1600 at the moment. I've been mining ETH for a year, started on my RX 470 getting about 0.2 ETH per day, unfortunately I traded most of that into BTC just before ETH blew up to 40x it's value. I then traded half my BTC into BCH before BTC blew up again. I sure know how to pick em. Still my RX 470 paid itself off about 4 times, recently broke while playing PUBG but just got confirmation that a replacement has been sent out. Thanks Sapphire.
I would love to see a video like this with information about difficulty. I'm worried difficulty will go to high and make the hardware no good. I'm a newb at this.
From my personal experience the cheaper nvidia cards such as 1060s are about the same when it comes to profitability on ethereum. even though my rx580s are pulling 30mhs they are doing so on about 115w as to where my 1060s are 24.4mhs at about 75w. that is only if you grab that highly desirable micron or samsung memory in the 1060s. hynix will only get you about 20.5mhs stable. great video and keep doing your thing man!
I was supposed to ask for a guide about AMD, but yep you answered it already... Please include some mid range gpu from amd for beginners or a budget friendly mining set up. TY. new subscriber here.
The fact that most of your viewers would be having gaming class CPUs...ie ryzens(6c/8c) and i5s/i7s. It's going to be pretty interesting especially with the price of monero spiking in the recent days.
Thanks Brett for the content, I enjoyed the vertcoin spike but exchanged to another alt coin, before the halved the payouts. But since your video, Zcash boosted quite a bit, which I been mining for awhile, so thanks lol
When mining equihash, its advisable to boost the GPU core clock, downclock the memory and perhaps lowering the power limit if your card is running too hot/loud. For Ethereum, you want to boost your GPU memory as high as you can and lower your GPU core as much as you can to save power and get the most MH/s. If you have a 7th or 8th gen Core i5/i7 or and AMD Ryzen 1600/1700/1800 and you're already mining with your GPU, then it may very well be worth while to mine for Monero with the CPU also! It would've been great if this video also mentioned the power consumption of the various algorithms and its impact on the profits.
Great video for the newbies like me, I’m placing an order from amazon as we speak, got everything I need except the video cards in my cart , I want to order everything at once and I’d like to give you the kickback from amazon bring I learned most of what I need from your channel, before I order I was just wondering what cards you would recommend for Zcash/ethereum/ maybe bitcoin and monero, I know they may be different algorithms but was just curious what a good all around card would be, the rx580 or 1070ti/1080ti? What would I get the most bang for my buck? Thanks
I understand you still want prone to watch your content and not just skip over it, but I think talking about the whattomine website would be a good choice and protect you in the future. "Check out whattomine to see what's most profitable on your rig right now" is a great way to end it. I agree about not covering the random alts that pop up, but I think that you should have mentioned it nonetheless
I feel Monero is more of a longer term investment into mining. Small pools with low(ish) min payouts often take a month or more to find a block. Large pools have min payouts of 0.3+XMR, at ~$1.77 per day that would take almost 2 months to get your hands on the actual XMR. Obviously there's MinerGate but do we really want to touch that with a 10ft barge pole? :)
There's been reports of them share skimming, as their software was reporting terrible hash rates compared to using the actual mining software. Someone did mention in the chat in one of Brett's live streams that minergate "fixed" that. But I would still be wary.
Mining Zcash and going to try and get zencash mining today, only got a 970 so can't do too much... Never heard of nicehash till the hack but will use it if it comes back online!
Hi UFD Tech, I love your videos man - I always look forward to them! Quick question, I'm mining Ether with a single Asus Strix 1080Ti OC version GPU. Because it's the 'Overclocking' (OC) version what would you say the max I could go to regarding the Memory Overclock / GPU Clock MHz whilst mining Ether without over doing it? I'm currently mining 33Mh/s with 1809MHz GPU clock speed and 5200MHz Memory clock speed, Power at 70%, Temp 65'' Any help would be greatly appreciated
hey man , really like ur channel , its amazing , well i have a quick question um goin build a miner rig ( gpu rx 580 , mb z270-a , psu corsair hxi 1000i , and the other stuff , i build it for mining eth , ) do u think it worth it , i mean i need to understand how to calculate how much its goin make , like even prmiary numbers , its goin cost me 4000 $ do u think i should do it now how much it goin make per month ,, thanks for ur time and again really adore ur videos
Why not use an auto switching pool like Mining Pool Hub which will put you on the pool that’s most profitable for you and then converts it to your currency of choice ? Means you don’t have to keep checking rates. As for settings I found I get the best Sols per Watt at 72% power, +175 core clock and MINUS 100 Memory Clock (the underclocking of the memory frees up power for core clock)
If the 1080Ti is the second most profitable GPU, what do you think is the first? I watched a previous Vega review from you and it seemed underwhelming. It seems like many that are concentrating on mining along are using 1080Tis.
I've been playing the long game, I started mining months ago when Vertcoin was worth like $0.60/coin and mined about 100 VTC, than stopped mining. Months later after I had forgotten about Vertcoin I checked the worth of my coin and found that my $63 turned into $800.
According to minergate Monero is the most profitable coin to mine for all my CPUs and my AMD and Nvidia GPUs, I just got into mining last week and I am only using minergate now. I have a 480, 580, 1050, 1050ti and 1060 and they are all pointing to Monero being the best... Why is this so different to your recommendations ?
1080ti always. There is no point going with anything else because they are all priced competitively in line with performance/price/watt. 1080ti MIGHT be a little less profitable right now because of low inventory than other cards but in the end when you are done with the card, 1080ti will be easier to sell and will last longer on the used market.
i feel instead off mining a less profitable coin mine one that is most profitable then buy the coin you want to HODL that way the extra profit helped pay a part of the electricity , some will choose to take the hit to support the network cause they believe in it
What is your suggestion for mining with Nvidia? I mean pool or solo or something else if possible. And i have 300hs with zec and eth. What you suggest for mining? I am currently mining zec because i see more profit than eth. How to mine with cpu?
Would it be better to buy 1 Geforce GTW 1080 or buy 2 Gforce GTX 1060s? comparing power usage and hashing power. also what does TI mean? is that for the Titanium power rating or something else?
Why wouldn't you touch on MonaCoin? It's a coin that's been out since 2014 and it actually has sustainability considering it's the preferred coin used by the country of Japan. It's the most profitable for Lyra2Rev2 Algo right now and it has been for a few weeks!
I've started using Awesome miner with MiningPoolHub after nicehash went down. setup was a lot easier than expected and the option to get paid in any coin you want is nice.
I used nicehash before, easy and lazy yes.. Now I mine xmr and elecroneum with my mixed old amd cards and cpu. Good profit this far and not so hard once I figured out how to set up miners and such. But ETN dropped nearly 50% just now to!! Strange.. Hope it will come back up again. What are reasons for such huge drops?
Nice hair cut and building my first ever mining Rig. Been watching your videos for a week to learn what will be my choice for the first build. Best channel I've come across for up to date, none bias information. Could do with a few Rx Vega 56's me thinks. Any chance. Regards from London.
If it does not find the gpu then copy the files from cuda 6.5 or 7.5 folder over the to main folder and try again. Make sure you have the latest drivers installed. Sometimes using a riser card also does this. If the powershell is crashing then its your antivirus or windows defender. If the card shows in device manager and the latest drivers are loaded then it should work.
no mention about MonaCoin? I use whatToMine and MiningPoolHub, and both say that MonaCoin is the most profitable for nvidia gpus... at least for my 1080ti, averaging about $6 per day (in that web, my 1080ti is heavily underclocked so i might earn less than what is showed on the web).
Would you do an experiment in Ethereum Mining with the new Radeon Adrenalin Drivers and setting the workload to compute, instead of g raphics. AMD in their slideshow claims 15% hashrate improvement with the adrenalin drivers.
some good info but was looking for more info on how to choose and set up mining. I tried Nicehash but got out before the hack because my 1070 was only getting about 1.50 day or so (not overclocked or undervolted or ???) Not really clear on how to compare the hash rates too. Some sites say one rate for a 1070 and others something else. On Nicehash it was around 500 H/s to 530 H/s or so. (BTW I use my rig for gaming and then some mining while I'm gone...) Thanks.
I am mining zcash with 1050ti.(that is all I have ). 173sols/sec.i get 1doller per day when the rig is not in gaming use. If I left it on 24/7 I would probably make more. I currently have $28.
Good video man! You know me. Mine and Hodl

Simply do to whattomine dot com, input your data in and you will get correct answer (24 hours most profitable crypto)
This guy mines.
You deserve much more subs and views for the work you are currently doing. I like your channel much more than than the other great techtubers.
BTG is very very profitable for me! Over $55 earned in 1 week, maybe ~$7.50 in electricity!
Too underrated of a channel for such a good one. Thanks for all your help brother
This is great man, if you could come out with these once a month. but include news and updates, a top 5 what to mine. that would be nice.

your transformation to drill sergeant is moving nicely
Epic vid man, I cant wait to hear what you will say for AMD.
Just started building a rig with rx570's
I was supposed to ask for a guide about AMD, but yep you answered it already... Please include some mid range gpu from amd for beginners or a budget friendly mining set up. TY. new subscriber here.
Awesome video! Very informative! Keep em coming!
If anything, NH going dark is a good reason to get more clued up on this. We won't talk about missing mined coins tho.
+Slade Boender RIP missing coins.
Ether passed 720$! Now at 693$ amazing video! Sorry I missed the past two streams, I wasn't at home today and yesterday.
the document is nice, keep up the good work

Thanks Brett for the content, I enjoyed the vertcoin spike but exchanged to another alt coin, before the halved the payouts. But since your video, Zcash boosted quite a bit, which I been mining for awhile, so thanks lol
Nice dude! Thanks for your feedback!
whatcha usin to mine zcash?
You timed Electroneum about a day before the ICO shares were released so it just took a dive :p will be good to keep an eye on though.
Good video. Thanks for the entertaining and insightful information
Thanks for making this video! Looking forward to the AMD one :)

Great Info ! Great Presentation ! Enjoy the super tech savvy : )
Great vid....the first time I saw u was that video where u talked about Linus
Same
ditto
You should make a video about the different mining programs and which ones tend to perform better on which algorithms
Very much enjoying the content.
Thanks for the info man. I think nicehash is coming back this january
Great Videos. What RX 580 are you comparing to. Ones with 4GB or 8GB? Thanks
Doin Monero on CPUs ONLY! Making about $7 per week, it is my secondary after BTG.
Late congratulations for over 50K 😎

Dogecoin: favored by Shiba Inus worldwide... well i know where all my money is going xD
+Shinobu Oshino Haha, it was a joke, don't do it!! 🤣
Too late now, jk 😂 🤣
lmao mining for memes eh? its done pretty well in the past week but the long term prospects aren't all that great
wel never to late to say iam sorry , did not buy dogecoin ! is going to the roof and behind it ;-)
How would one mine for Dogecoin with AMD?
"It might not be at the $650 mark when you get started"
now at $700... oh okay he was right
Hi UFD Tech, I love your videos man - I always look forward to them!

Can you please do a video on cpu mining? Like comparison between coffee lake, ryzen, thread ripper... Thanks.. Great videos as always...
Appreciate your content
Great vid. Can't wait for tomorrow's AMD video.
Daywork11
Can Ryzen on Die GPU's ever beat any GV100 class cards? do they need a better bus first, cross fire cheap AMD chops till they beat them?

lol I got some 4 days ago
Brett i know u say that you will only be covering "big boy" coins , but BTCz is worth a mention running on Equihash

1060 ti video today, YAAY
Great info by the way I am using Nicehash
nice video and thanks for the info
Almost 52k subs I'm getting closer and closer to that cookie
According to minergate Monero is the most profitable coin to mine for all my CPUs and my AMD and Nvidia GPUs,
I just got into mining last week and I am only using minergate now. I have a 480, 580, 1050, 1050ti and 1060 and they are all pointing to Monero being the best...
Why is this so different to your recommendations ?
Thank you 😊 great ideas. Would love ❤️ to have that Zotac GPU. 🙏🏻
1080ti always. There is no point going with anything else because they are all priced competitively in line with performance/price/watt. 1080ti MIGHT be a little less profitable right now because of low inventory than other cards but in the end when you are done with the card, 1080ti will be easier to sell and will last longer on the used market.
i feel instead off mining a less profitable coin mine one that is most profitable then buy the coin you want to HODL that way the extra profit helped pay a part of the electricity , some will choose to take the hit to support the network cause they believe in it
this viedo very helpfull for me. Thanks
What do you think about Minergate ? Do you think is going to be a nicehash 2.0 ??
What is your suggestion for mining with Nvidia? I mean pool or solo or something else if possible. And i have 300hs with zec and eth. What you suggest for mining? I am currently mining zec because i see more profit than eth. How to mine with cpu?
Would it be better to buy 1 Geforce GTW 1080 or buy 2 Gforce GTX 1060s? comparing power usage and hashing power. also what does TI mean? is that for the Titanium power rating or something else?
Definitely would like a little more info on the dedicated program end. . Seeing how everyone got robbed on nice hash.
Good video as always and nice orange card but I still don't like criptomining :-)
Titan V mining videos! Worth it?
Manually mining right now. I sure do miss Nicehash. Website said its coming back up soon.
Gtx 1060 3gb gets 19mhs at a 105 watt tdp if you pull up the memory clock with 500, note, you don't need to change the voltage, it's stable
Thanks just ordered my first rig
+spyboy02 Nice!!! What did you get??
6 1060 3gb
Why wouldn't you touch on MonaCoin? It's a coin that's been out since 2014 and it actually has sustainability considering it's the preferred coin used by the country of Japan. It's the most profitable for Lyra2Rev2 Algo right now and it has been for a few weeks!
Will you continue using NiceHash when (if) its coming back online?
UFD, how were you earning $3.5 before the VTC reward drop with a 1060? That was my average profit before the drop with my 1070ti (~41MH/s)...
Good video but i think your values on Vertcoin is a little off. Profits are the 2nd best behind monacoin!
+Hisoka Gaming After the halving? You sure about that?
What do you think,is there any profitable coin that I can mine with my HD7870?
Perfect time for this video
+Josh pater 😁 Thought so.
Nice hair cut and building my first ever mining Rig. Been watching your videos for a week to learn what will be my choice for the first build. Best channel I've come across for up to date, none bias information. Could do with a few Rx Vega 56's me thinks. Any chance. Regards from London.
Congrats on 50k!!! (51k now!)
+Vivek Cote Thanks friend!!!
Nicehash not so nice anymore, happy without them, glad they crashed, forced self learning=priceless
RUclipsWatcher what gpus do you have?

mining only electroneum right now, lets see if the hype for this crypto goes up
So my research was ok ... mining ZEC & XMR on my nVidia rigs was a good Choise
Great video!
Would you do an experiment in Ethereum Mining with the new Radeon Adrenalin Drivers and setting the workload to compute, instead of g raphics. AMD in their slideshow claims 15% hashrate improvement with the adrenalin drivers.
Hey should I purchase 1060 6gb now or wait for new architecture Nvidia GPU to launch

New to your channel, do you have any videos on how to hook up an asic machine?
Just a thought, will Volta be very good at mining since its use is for computing?

And if you only have a Nvidia GeForce 630M on 5 years old laptop? Is worth it?

some good info but was looking for more info on how to choose and set up mining.
My fav coin is INNOVA(INN) coin, im mining with a gtx 1070 and i get around 1 mhz on NEOSCRYPT :D
+Amor How many coins do you get?

mining zec for a week. im currently using galax 1060 6gb OC version. im getting an average of 260sol/s. do you recommend any oc settings?
I am mining zcash with 1050ti.(that is all I have ). 173sols/sec.i get 1doller per day when the rig is not in gaming use. If I left it on 24/7 I would probably make more. I currently have $28.
