    Eric every now and then you produce a video like this that just strikes the right mark and drills down hard on a certain aspect of the golf swing. It is one of the best aspects of your channel I feel
    I wouldn't suggest you do it every time and turn it far too technical but I personally enjoy when you go particular hard drilling down on certain aspects rather than going in light and fluffy like most instructors do
    This video has got so much info in it is ticking the boxes and I will be saving it and reviewing it regularly

    19:40. So true. Since I've been watching myself on camera recently, when I do things in practice swings I can get into the positions I am working on. But when addressing and hitting the ball, my brain goes into a different world. Like I swear when hitting the ball in my mind and in my "feels" I am literally doing the exact same thing I just did in my practice swing, but when hitting the ball I'm actually not repeating the practice swing. Makes me feel like I'm insane lol seriously. It's unbelievable. Takes me days of working on something before I can get into the right positions not on the practice swing but when actually hitting the ball. It's a crazy game.

      Setup -ball of feet
      Backswing- right heel, left toes
      Transition- middle
      Downswing/follow through- right toes, left heel

      @@CogornoGolf thanks I’ll watch it…mainly I’m asking about at address I sometimes think I have too much weight on the balls of my feet which makes it hard to stay balanced and not fall/ step through on the follow through.

    • @bluzman1960
      @bluzman1960 2 года назад +1

      @@CogornoGolf I just watched it that’s exactly what I was looking for thank you very much. I seem to have too much weight on the balls of my feet 70-75% and I stay that way because I like the second example standing up releasing the club early. I’m going to work on the drill with the 2 clubs under my heels and try to mimic the footwork in your video lesson and stay off my toes in my downswing…

  • @johnkawamoto467
    @johnkawamoto467 2 года назад +1

    On the heel toe drill, if your weight goes to the trail heel wouldn’t you feel a shift to your lead toe - counter balance? And then trail toe and lead heel on the downswing? His drill makes it seem your weight is on the toe of the lead foot.

    • @CogornoGolf
      @CogornoGolf  2 года назад +1

      Weight starts in balls of feet
      Goes to right heel and left toes in backswing
      then back to middle to start down
      Then left heel and right toes in follow through
      More on this here: ruclips.net/video/pdRisKYTAjc/видео.html

    Eric, should the golf back swing and overall swing feel physically challenging or easy? If it is easy or less physical could it be from a poor windup on the backswing?armsy?

    • @CogornoGolf
      @CogornoGolf  Год назад

      Hey!
      Unfortunately there are too many variables to give a simple Yes or NO there.
      Certainly if you are changing any part of your swing that NEEDS to feel NEW/WEIRD....
      Ideally over time we want to get to the point where the swing feels "easy" "natural" but in the swing change process that is rarely the case to start

    Very informative video but I am also confused about the head moving forward. The conventional wisdom dictates that the head should be behind the ball at impact. How do I reconcile that with the head moving forward in the bag drill? Does it move forward and then back again which would seem overly complex.

      Put a chair just outside left foot...push belt buckle to that instead of left hip
      You want to feel ALL of your working forward and down a touch to start down....then hips keep moving forward but hey stays back
      Of course you have to ROTATE with this which turns it from slide to normal
