You’re absolutely right when you say we shouldn’t spend too much time on planning but use our time to get going and actually do all the things. I will watch or listen to the rest of your playlist because I love to get ideas during planning videos. I’m an empty nester, my kids are 25 and 22, and I travel full time as an online teacher, writer and I love my projects but sometimes I spend too much time on planning when I should be working on the projects instead. This sounds like a great series! Thanks for doing it! An index card or post it for the day's tasks sounds like the perfect, non-distracting solution.
I'll be curious to hear your recommendations for a simple way to keep the other lists and longer term items stored and organized for when they are needed. I'd love to find something very simple for that, too.
In Convivial Circle, we call that a "Running List." I do keep mine in the reminders app on my phone, but many of our community members just use a spiral notebook or a lined page in whatever planner they use. Abby will share how she keeps hers on index cards in the next episode!

I never understand why others say bad things about other design when they are promoting their system, we are not all the same and we need different options.....
Yes. It can be off-putting. One guest kind of rolled her eyes and scoffed when talking about the Flylady system. I commented that the Flylady says to modify the system to fit you and the response was basically, if you don't clean your sink and get dressed to your shoes, you aren't really doing Flylady.
I thought that was kind of a snide remark from this channel. I found Ms. Winckler's book helpful and otherwise enjoy her style of content so I continue to watch. If this were another channel, I would've unsubscribed after that.

I'm sorry you took that as snide. It definitely wasn't meant to be. Tone is so hard in short comments online! I read FlyLady's book back when it was new and that part was emphasized as non-negotiable. Maybe she's changed how she teaches it now.
