I personally love the compression and shallow depth of field you get with telephoto lenses for landscape photography, I recently went to the outback and was shooting with my gmaster 135mm f1.8 and it truly draws you into the images. I just picked up the sigma 85mm f1.4 the other day really looking forward to putting it to the test myself. Thanks for the upload, lovely photos of my previous home state of Tasmania!
Really glad you enjoyed the video mate! I’m really enjoying using the 85mm for landscapes so I think you’ll enjoy it! As for Tasmania, it’s too easy to take photos here it’s almost cheating! 😂
shooting with a prime like the 85mm is fun for sure, but it is also heavy and as you mentioned, not the most flexible. great option for flexing that creativity muscle though!

For sure mate! It was definitely a test! Glad you liked it though 😁
I love cradle mountain!! Amazing footage of it
It's an awesome spot! 😁
Interesting video! 85mm for me would be too tight but it's always a good idea to try new ideas as you say!
Yeah it was definitely a challenge! But so worth it for the results! 😁
think outside the box...gr8 4 panos.....personally i use a 150mm - 600mm sigma ...Amazing results.
