Movies based off video games always suck to the people who play the video game. It just feels so off when you compare a movie to the game .

The reason Sweden and Ireland have some connections is because of Swedish Viking coming over to Ireland while the Norse Vikings were in England
I belive they were mainly Norwegian vikings in Ireland and Scotland. England was mostly invaded by Danes (hence the Danelaw). Swedish Vikings were people like the "Rus" from Roslagen (Svealand near Stockholm & Uppsala) that went east, into what was going to be Russia. Some also went south, down to Konstantinopel, the Arab world and North Africa.

Based on the trailers, it seems the movie is based on the two newest Tomb Raider games which are more realistic and cinematic than the older games.
They're still pretty crazy but I think it'd be easier to translate to the big screen.
Can't blame her, for all her efforts, they sucked. A shame though, taking from the last classic TR games with Keeley Hawes voicing, an older, more cynical Lara would've worked great.
Yeah, they were totally cinematic, and the plots were tighter, pretty much a movie on a tray. But the trailer gave me zero confidence they nailed that.
