I don't think so I am in a position of giving advice however to my certain knowledge I would suggest you to start reading blog posts about colours, typography words, & implement them in your design. This is not enough but keep on experimenting & take references which I mean "not copying " & take feedback from people as well as from the pros regarding your design. Thats how I am currently learning, It's a joyride.

I get to hear how dropping out was a bad decision but I dont wanna step back from it and I dont regret it. I'm seeing a lot of these videos about being a UX/UI designer. My concern is that if people are selling this idea that you can change your career in three months by becoming a UX/UI designer, then there will be an over saturation of novices on the market, and consequently a drop in saleries and opportunities for people in the industry and looking to get in. I would take all these videos with a tablespoon of salt. You probably will not get the same results as the OP.

    • @abnux
      @abnux  Год назад +15

      Every single field will be affected by AI, what are your alternatives? AI tools will come for them all within the next year. UX designers have always been the ones to take new tech to the mainstream by making them accessible. New devices now means UX designers have new opportunities and will thrive.
      Keep in mind AI = automation and intelligence. The whole point of the interfaces & products we design is so that people don’t have to do it manually without tech. More automation gains incoming. Intelligence gains however are going to change the world, not just “fields”, check out the intelligence age vid we did on Humane

    I'm very curious to know about what Vibe priest does..

    • @abnux
      @abnux  Год назад +1

      I'm still refining the concept, but at a broad abstract level - the ability to use design to optimize for a particular vibe, owning the space in the intersection of very particular niche interests, literally becoming a 1 of 1 in terms of how few people in the world have that intersectional knowledge / personality and overall vibe.
      is a creator, has an audience or distribution that appreciates exactly that, has put in the reps to confidently have their proof of work speak for them
      the vibe priest is, to some extent, a sovereign creator that is able to leverage all of this to launch products, companies, collab with brands etc + prob builds multiple sources of revenue which might or might not include full time employment

    please dont sell the dream tha someone can become a UX designer in 6 months. you are gonna get chomped. theres so much you need to know before you decide becoming a UX designer. research skills(quantitative and qualitative data, data triangulation, spss, nvivo, confidence itervals).
    design skills (layout compostions, color theory, typography, aesthetics)
    HCI skills (cognitve models, frameworks, psychology)
    hard skills (figma, plugins, autolayout, coding, handoof tools)

    Great video!!!
    Also what do you think about UX now with emergence of AI and the condition of Tech market?
    Is it worth pursuing?

    • @abnux
      @abnux  Год назад +5

      Definitely yes - the exact definition, roles and responsibilities will change coz the tech is NEW; but UX designers have always had the job of making new tech mainstream, and now with AI the number of new fields is exploding. Good sign! Would’ve been worse if no new tech, coz that’s stagnation

      @@abnux that's great to know!
      I didn't think of it like that. I'm currently pursuing it so, I was a bit worried about it.

    Sir you content is really amazing that will really help the beginner designers like me, but the presentation of your content is really boring and made the content really confusing to me and all this made me to go back from video. instead of using your own handwriting you should have used presentation tools which could made this video more engaging.
    As a user that what i felt and as a UI UX Designer it was my responsibility to share what i feel about your product/Service.
    Thank you 😊

    bro what you tell here is not a roadmap, it is all about people in different stages in designing field, content of this video is good but the title is not appropriate, I have no idea about designing and finding a roadmap, and your video didn't tell me from where and with which resource i can start, wasted my 17 minutes......,

    • @abnux
      @abnux  8 месяцев назад

      You can start with the Design Crash Course playlist on the channel + move to the other playlists once basics are done :)
      But keep making real progress with practice, not just watching videos. This video is meant as a career roadmap ie measurable milestones you need to hit so that you don’t stay stuck

    There has been a hugewave of UX designers lately and it's been nearly Impossible to even get an Internship. I would advice anyone who is thinking to enter this field to stop as there are extremely less job opportunities 🥲🥲

    • @abnux
      @abnux  Год назад +1

      Definitely quite competitive at entry level, but gets easier as you get more experience/referrals/work

      @Navin Panday If I was at your place I would start a Data specialisation course. There is a new phrase running around in the market "Data is the new gold". Or something like QA, devops I don't know much about them but they are high in demand and pay good salary as well

    • @abnux
      @abnux  Год назад +4

      Sorry guys, but yes it can be competitive. It’s especially hard if you’re average, have no differentiation, generic outreach strategy. 100+ rejections means it’s a skill issue. true for all careers not just design, have to play the online game
