Back to back bangers. Both episodes I consider to be with the best we've had in the entire series. Eren vs Mikasa & Armin with Gabi witnessing everything, Zeke vs Levi with Zeke's backstory showing how awful Grisha was to him. Perfectly directed and storyboarded too.
@@davecraig9675 *looks at screen Japan is currently experiencing... An earthquake, please wait for the next episode (The pause is a joke about the rumbling in case it wasn't clear)
Levi wasn’t getting a headache. He’s overwhelmed about the concept that he’s spent years protecting Eren. Only for him to turn out the way he is now. He’s disappointed. And he’s hurt.
he's more disappointed at the bigger picture rather than Eren, he trusted the scout's decision to put all of their faith into Eren seeing him as the "hope for humanity", saving him countless of times in the past, and now to learn that the military heads planned to feed Eren to another person just screwed his mental up. He thinks that its Zeke who should get eaten
Same with Mikasa. I think Eren made this up to make Armin and her let go of him. Remember episode 2 (or was it 3?) of season 1 where Eren insulted Armin, and Mikasa punched him square in the face? Or when she threw him and that firewood into a wall? And she got those headaches any time she was in emotional distress.
Your reaction to Zeke running away was hysterical because that's how everyone who read the manga reacted. This series is like Fan: "hey guys check out this show, these are the good guys and bad guys" Isayama: "hold my saki"
This is my own interpretation but when Mikasa slammed Armin, she didn't want them to fight so she tried to stop things from escalating so her fight-or-flight insticts came in. However, I think she didn't realize that she put too much force in pining Armin. Eren claims that Mikasa is a slave but a slave is someone who has no will of their own and follows them without question. However, despite Mikasa's devotion and loyalty towards Eren, she always kept Eren in line and never hesitated in calling him out. Some of these instances were in S1 Ep 2, Eren called Armin a coward but Mikasa punched Eren. On S4 Ep 6, when Mikasa reunited with Eren, she told him that he just killed innocent civilians and children, and that there is no undoing this. I think Mikasa just genuinely loves Eren and it has nothing to do with her Ackerbond. With the Ackerman's power awakening, I think it just has to do with an Ackerman being in danger, going through something traumatic and on the brink of death. Armin developing feelings for Annie is not quite shocking for me because we do see glimpses of Armin and Annie's connection in S1 especially when Armin called Annie a good person, Annie's hesitation on killing Armin and Armin not telling the higher-ups about being suspicious of Annie. With the help of Bertholdt's memories of Annie, I think Armin understood her more and saw something different in her, thus his feelings developed deeper.

Remember the first episode was called “to you, 2000 years from now”. Eren talking to Zeke talked about ending 2000 years of suffering. ( the story was planned from the beginning)
@TGN _1 I'm thinking he might have sent a message to the past, maybe buried it somewhere in Ymir's subconscious and then passed it down through the Attack Titans to himself... I know, sounds like a crazy loop, but perhaps that's the only way he could have "broken a cycle"... Remember Eren Kruger said this in Eren Jaeger's flashback of his dad's memories. Also remember that the Attack Titan has been known to have a passion for freedom, perhaps that passion was implanted by Eren (Jaeger) after he discovered that the Titan shifters and the Ackermans (and probably all Eldians) were bound to certain convictions as he explained to Mikasa and Armin (also remember in the flashback when Eren Kruger said "save Mikasa and Armin", and then wondered whose memory it was). So maybe all this was done to end a race of people who were inherently destructive and programmed to cause chaos forever all thanks to their descent from Ymir, and perhaps a twist in Ymir's virtues that we hadn't heard of yet... Perhaps Ymir went subtly psycho after the manipulation she faced, and then thought it best to make the world crumble via a rumble? (This part is a far reach though)
So far, it's been said that the Ackermans have a host, and the person who is Levi's host is Erwin, so he can't be controlled or any such thing. Idk if you'll see this, just wanted to let ya'll know.
I think Eren is trying to distance himself from them for some reason. He's changed way too drastically in such a short amount of time. And we know he cares for both of them. It's the only thing that makes sense.
Yeah, it really feels like Eren is trying to push them away for some reason, maybe cause he's gonna do something and he doesn't want them to get hurt. He did say that he cares about them more than anyone else.
@@katara2021 because he mixes in details that are very close to reality. "Armin is a slave because of Bertholdt's memories" -We know that inheritors of a titan can see bits of their predecessor's memories -We know that Bertholdt liked Annie "Mikasa is a slave because of her Ackerman blood" -We know that the Ackerman's aren't normal Eldians -We know that Mikasa became far less outwardly emotional after the day she drew out her Ackerman abilities -We know that Mikasa is very attached to Eren
@@minupakumarasinghe3913 Its also been shown a lot times that shifters only seen some of the memories and that it takes time and effort and many times conscious decision to access them for example the way the previous beast titan was doing. Secondly if it was true the same would apply to Eren and even more so because he has at this point 3 titans in him but he maintains that he is fully aware of his decision ergo Armin must also be. Thirdly Mikasa's change in personality is easily explained by her trauma. More importantly it wasn't Eren's encouragement to fight that made her so cold because when he arrived there she already had lifeless eyes. Even in season 1 when she thought Eren had died she realized that she still wanted to survive. Fourthly Kenny's conversation with his grandfather who explicitly told him that it was nothing like this. If they were so easy to make loyal then there would have been no point in the royal family hunting them and having them killed. It's because they were always resistant not susceptible to titan powers. The hunting of such bloodlines is proof that completely contradicts Eren. Lastly I know Eren's personality has changed a lot but it never seems to occur to a lot of people that he can, you know, lie. His pov is being withheld from us on purpose. We don't know what he's actually thinking. I wouldn't have any problem with people interpreting things this way if they said 'maybe this is possible' instead of running with the theory completely and wholeheartedly.

Ikr? Literally almost everyone he cares about keeps dying and for all his strength he can only save himself and watch them die. That is the tragedy of his characters, and Isayama even said that he is the most emotional character and cares about his comrades more than anyone, so I can't imagine how he must have felt when he realised that he had to kill them. That's why he's such a great character, he keeps going no matter what and he keeps surviving and fighting. Such an inspiration to me, honestly. I feel for him so bad. I think you can tell I have a lot of feelings for this character lol.
Adam lmao it was always my guilty pleasure moment seeing him go off on both of them. Eren always had to be protected and coddled by both of them, which is fine and all but was definitely annoying lots of times, so when he went off on them, I was excited asf. Plus I never been a Mikasa fan like that (I prefer Annie), she badass and all but her clinginess to Eren was a little much sometimes, so this moment was definitely a guilty pleasure. I don't get this fandom. The show had presented so many alternative truths to situation since the start but now just because Eren said something everyone is taking it like 100% truth. This shows how Isayama always had that planned from long ago
@Tesla-Effect someone probably got a rock threw it it got made into catch they made lighter balls then someone said hey let's see who can hit it farthest they implimented jacks into it by setting a time limit then boom baseball
@Tesla-Effect this world is basically a parallel world to ours, the map of the AOT world is just ours but flipped on both the X and Y axis. It's like an alternate history, baseball was just invented in a different place.
When grisha is yelling about zeke not becoming a warrior it felt so real i remember my dad doing the same thing because of my school issues 😢
Yup, the flashbacks came
What's crazy about this line, "9:53" is that it reminded me of when Eren was complaining, back around Season 1 or Season 2, about why they even bothered having training in hand-to-hand combat since they were fighting Titans.

To think humanity's strongest solder would actually take a major blow... and with the season ending that's a hard cliff hanger.
He’s probably fine but almost dead he an akerman
@CrazyDoughboy He didn’t spoil shit dipshit, he shared an opinion dumbass.
RIP LEVI GOODBYE FOREVER
@CrazyDoughboy How is that a spoiler?
Yeah...hope he makes it. Don't want Levi to die so soon.
Levi wasn’t getting a headache. He’s overwhelmed about the concept that he’s spent years protecting Eren. Only for him to turn out the way he is now.
He’s disappointed.
And he’s hurt.
Yes.
Yeah, it tragic.
He actually regrets his decision, and for Levi that's big because he lives with none
he's more disappointed at the bigger picture rather than Eren, he trusted the scout's decision to put all of their faith into Eren seeing him as the "hope for humanity", saving him countless of times in the past, and now to learn that the military heads planned to feed Eren to another person just screwed his mental up.
Fun Fact: The song used in the background while Levi and Zeke are fighting in the forest is actually a tribute song for Kenny Ackerman.
Your reaction to Zeke running away was hysterical because that's how everyone who read the manga reacted.
This series is like
Fan: "hey guys check out this show, these are the good guys and bad guys"
Isayama: "hold my saki"
This right here!!!!
wow i had to come back here 2 years later to say you were so right about everything; your analysis skills are truly top-tier!

Zeke: Nigeruuuuuuundayoooooo

Funny since Zeke's VA is the voice of Dio in JoJo's
"So... How much of an emotional beating do you want to inflict on your characters?"
Isayama: "Yes".
“You too mikasa” is equivalent to seeing someone get roasted and you laugh a little bit and now they finna get on you now just because
Seeing the back story of zeke is one of the depressing backstories in attack on titan.Didn’t even get a choice to do anything he wanted.
He got to choose to try to sterilize/euthanize/genocide the Eldians. So FUCK Zeke.
@@akashsingh-wb1re no, he sent both his parents to die to save himself and his grandparents. They didn't love Zeke anyways, they only saw him as a tool

@@yololoyo7379 As opposed to what? Pretending that everything's fine and that it's ok live their lives as slaves? And getting abused/assaulted/mistreated anywhere they go? Grisha wanted his son and his own children to have a better life than him.
@@Dertlecup i know but as Sasha's father said, keep children away from adult problems. Do you force and raise your kids since their childhood to be someone that should change the world problem like racism, corruption things like that? His backstory clearly touch some real life issue
The story of Lagos, Monte, and Valle from the history book they were using to teach Zeke was shown in season two's ending song.

So far, it's been said that the Ackermans have a host, and the person who is Levi's host is Erwin, so he can't be controlled or any such thing. Idk if you'll see this, just wanted to let ya'll know.
Yeah, just like Kenny's host was Uri Reiss
@@jaws9116 Yeah, exactly.
Don't know why Roshi saying "The whole combo" made me laugh 😂
I think Eren is trying to distance himself from them for some reason. He's changed way too drastically in such a short amount of time. And we know he cares for both of them. It's the only thing that makes sense.
Yeah, it really feels like Eren is trying to push them away for some reason, maybe cause he's gonna do something and he doesn't want them to get hurt. He did say that he cares about them more than anyone else.
Its so obvious I don't know how so many fans are missing this point. This is like such a trope in stories.
@@katara2021 because he mixes in details that are very close to reality.
"Armin is a slave because of Bertholdt's memories"
-We know that inheritors of a titan can see bits of their predecessor's memories
-We know that Bertholdt liked Annie
"Mikasa is a slave because of her Ackerman blood"
-We know that the Ackerman's aren't normal Eldians
-We know that Mikasa became far less outwardly emotional after the day she drew out her Ackerman abilities
-We know that Mikasa is very attached to Eren
@@katara2021 I feel like eren is projecting.
He says armin is being manipulated and controlled because he has the past memories of the colossal.
Yet Eren has three of the nine. He is projecting his hate and inability to feel free unto armin and mikasa.

"Thanks for playing catch with me."
Reading that has made Zeke my favorite character for years.
Fun fact. Levi has never gotten a headache. He was just holding his head there cause he was thinking.
Can honestly say if I were Zeke, I probably would've done the same shit he did. Grisha literally did to Zeke what his own dad did to him, shit was fucked up for real. And my favorite moment finally came with Savage Eren ending Mikasa and Armin's careers lmao. Edit: Levi has really had it the worst out of any character in AOT, he is constantly having to part ways with his comrades, and has been put through the wringer just to be the only survivor, he's lost like literally everybody, and yet he still keeps going, that's my goat right there
Bro why is erens savage moment your favorite moment 😭 those are his day 1s he’s ripping apart
Granted, she has redeemed herself in my eyes in the most recent manga chapter, so this moment didn't hit as much as it would've before cuz I felt a little bad now lol
At first before I read the rest I thought you meant the eunthinization 😂
I think Eren has had it worse, but Levi's no doubt a second.
Xsaver to Zeke: "If only I wasn't born into this world"

go back to what grandfather Ackerman told Kenny in season 3, Ackermans were not designed to protect any host or the king in fact they have immunity to memory wipe and control in general, they were feared by the monarchy and hunted for that reason and that makes them the freeset eldian people actually
I don't get this fandom. The show had presented so many alternative truths to situation since the start but now just because Eren said something everyone is taking it like 100% truth. Anyone who has watched the show knows Eren never hated Mikasa. With the way his personality was he would have told it to her face and cut off ties with her long before. And remember when in Season 1 she thought Eren was dead and still found the will to live and fight?
@@katara2021 exactly, and if you go back to a lot of the past situations, you'll find that most of them do not match Eren's description and what he's claiming, let alone the fact that Eren's POV was never hidden from us before so this "I always hated you" is straight bull, should be a clue to see through his intentions throughout the entire scene
