Love the country in the west, just gorgeous and I thank God I'm able to see it but nothing compares to Georgia's manners and southern hospitality. Bless your heart. 😏
Things you forgot to mention... 1. Sprawl - everything is SUPER spread out and it takes FOREVER to get even a short distance at times 2. Pollen season - it thoroughly coats everything yellow and exacerbates allergies and headaches 3. Poor mass transit - for a major city like Atlanta, Marta is absolutely despicable 4. Racism - The KKK STILL has rallies in downtown Atlanta regularly 5. No water - Seas/Oceans/Lakes that usually make a city nicer are totally absent here 6. Poor/No Sidewalks - while it is improving gradually, many areas still aren’t walkable 7. Inflated rent - too many places charge like its prime beach front property............it’s not 8. Sports - The teams in Atlanta aren’t bad per se, but they definitely leave you wanting more 9. People - not all, but still WAY too many here have a TERRIBLY over-inflated sense of self that doesn’t at all match what they have to offer. Locals know it as “Atlanta-tude” 10. Not quite “there” yet - Atlanta is a city with a LOT of potential, but still has yet to fully and completely realize it. It just always feels like it’s on the verge of “getting there”, but not quite.

Being from georgia for most of my life, one huge thing you left out was spring. In the spring in Georgia there is a huge load of pollen, so much so that you can make letters on your car. We called it yellow snow.
As a native ATLien, I have one reason for you: We are full. We are chock full. There are enough people here. Go away. During Thanksgiving weekend, traffic was the lightest I've ever seen it: because everyone else had gone back home. I say this in half jest, of course.
I don't know who this man is and I don't really care. He clearly does not have his facts straight. I have lived here for seven wonderful years and I love it! If Atlanta was so bad as he would lead you to believe people wouldn't be moving here like crazy. Atlanta a great place to live, we welcome you!!
I’m a native ATLien and this guys not wrong about a lot of the things in this video. But #1 at the end is an utter fallacy. ATL does not have 11 months of summer. The first cold snap can happen early as October and cold weather can go as late as May. What does happen though is two different systems basically compete over shaping the climate, the Gulf Stream and the North Pacific Current. These two currents almost intersect over the Piedmont Plateau, and it fucking sucks in the winter. You might think warm currents in the middle of winter are great with 70 degree weather out the blue, but it messes up your immune system, so it’s better to have a set temperature for your body to acclimate to, which is why there’s always mild-cold/flu epidemics in ATL every few years. And on a side note, mid ranged North American wintry climate extends as far south as the Florida panhandle. So it low key pissed me off when that man said 11 months of summer and this video got like 1M views cause that shit is insanely inaccurate lol
I live in florida now after living 18 years in Georgia. Here we are having 11 months of summer. Also georgia sucks with politics being one sided and the pollen, too much pollen.
just got back from a six day trip to Atlanta. Worst: Aggressive panhandlers, claustrophobic subway stations, everybody wants to share their rap with you
@April Showers;everybody tries to sweep the"Sodom"factor under the rug!! That's exactly WHY the population of the City of Atlanta has never surpassed a HALF of a million;no babies are being born!! The women want the women, and the men want the MEN!!
I’m from Chicago and I lived in Atlanta for about a year. Honestly it’s nothing like Chicago. Also there are a lot of homeless people here I’ve never seen so many before in my life
I'm from the Atlanta area. You're wrong about the perimeter. Quite honestly, outside "The Ring" (I-285) is where the nicer areas are. Inside the ring is rather ghetto in most areas. Inside is where you're likely to get shot. The Hill Billy areas begin about 1 to 1.5 hours away from the ring.
Traffic is messed up because city planers didn't do a good job. Live in Vegas. Highway goes East and West. North and South. Plus a beltway. You can take the side streets.
Angel_Peguero that is only inside Atlanta city limits. The vast majority of the metro area's ~6 million people live outside the city limits and almost all of them commute. In cars. Because public transportation here is terrible. Atlanta metro is growing at 90k people per year and the infrastructure, roads, and mass transit (lolz) can't keep up. Believe me. We all full here.
Feels like it's summer ten months of the year? Dude, what are you talking about? Transplants like myself get surprised as to how cold Atlanta can get. Not to mention when it starts warming up you'll literally get 40 degree swings in the same day.
Most people incorrectly think Florida when they think Atlanta. Atlanta has sweltering summers but its consistently 30 degrees in the winter and not uncommon to be in the 20s during the early AM. Then this time of the year its literally 32 when you wake up and 75 by midday. This guy's making it sound like it's invariably hot here which is absolutely false.
I don’t like Atlanta nor Miami but I’m telling you Miami is a pretty poor place to live in. Bad neighborhoods, and also is in Florida lmao. It’s a beautiful city though.
@@Landon_706 Did you live in Miami? Have you seen Brickell? Miami Lakes? Sunny Isles? Far from poor. I happen to stay in Miami Lakes, no crime and you definitely cannot be poor to live here.
Allen Godfrey, you are paying much more than what you are getting out of quality I’ll tell you that. And again, Miami is in Florida. Nobody likes Florida lmao.
georgia does have 2 seasons, it’s summer and winter-ish. it’s usually hot from april-september, it’s cool in october, and then cold from november-march. as someone who has lived in georgia all their life it is not always hot here. our winters have cool, cloudy weather with cold rain, and occasionally, once a year, some snow.
If you're thinking about moving here and you don't like the country life, here's my best tip. Interstate 285 is a circle around Atlanta. If you're on 285 you are 10-20 miles from Atlanta. If you're exist anywhere on 285, and is driving away from Atlanta, you want to live less than 25 miles away.
Please don't move here ! Lol it's getting overpopulated really quick. I promise the traffic is terrible and 285 statistically is the deadliest interstate
Also, no hockey. Please move to my hometown of Huntsville, AL instead. We do have hockey, and we’re closer to Nashville. Go Havoc, Thrashers, and Preds! May the Jets never hoist Lord Stanley’s cup.
I live in Atlanta and these are my top 5 reasons not to move here: 1. Crime is really bad 2. Housing is too expensive 3. Traffic 4. People are less intelligent than the national average of major cities (bad school systems) 5. Low paying jobs
1. That's just part of living in a city. 2. That's also part of living in a city. 3. That's also part of living in a city. 4. That really isn't true. The vast majority of people are dumb regardless of the quality of school. 5. What?
“Expensive housing?!” Bless you’re heart, try ANYWHERE west coast from Phoenix to San Francisco, anywhere people actually want to live, in other words.
My rent for a 1000 sq ft apartment is 3000 dollars a month in Los Angeles. You don't know what expensive means . I used to live in Marietta around 2014 and my 3 bedroom 1300 SQ ft apartment was about 1100 dollars maybe , so even though I had a low paying job , it was very easy to live
I live in Stockbridge and I'll take it any day over the North side. Cobb and Gwinnett are just impossible to get around in. Too much traffic too built up. Henry county on the Southside is a much better place to live. You can get more house for your money there's plenty of commercial areas and while traffic can be bad in spots( stay away from I 75 as much as possible) it's not everywhere like it is on the north side. I love the Georgia mountains but the north metro sucks especially Alpharetta Roswell Marietta and Smyrna. I live in Henry and work in Newton county. 45 miles one way but I can always get there in 45 minutes.
What Atlanta suburb would you promote is good for a middle class family that wants a medium to small town diverse feel with big city conveniences???? We like Fayetteville, Lilburn , Lawrenceville, and Snellville.....good schools, conveniences and local traffic is manageable. I do hate the congestion to and from Atlanta but I'm the type to stay in my local area UNLESS I want specific stuff from city...sports games, some window shopping , specific restaurants.....etc
Bro a LA Outsider rating Atlanta that’s like a blood telling a crip not to be a crip cuz he don’t like blue. Bro LA is very different to Atlanta bro. WTF😂 We got fresh air all day😊☀️🌃
Idk, I had mostly great teachers and our school had pretty good performance in AP classes. And no, I did not come from Alpharetta or John's Creek. haha
Black Ocean Actually APS isn't like West, Midwest, or East Coast. You see the south grows up quick and you have to actually see what's happening in the public school system down here. 1 thing for sure the south is mainly broke. Our city and police can't fund what Philly or NY has. APS can't.
I lived in Atlanta for 3 years. It wasn't terrible but it also wasn't the best either. The one thing I will say is the people are very friendly and always willing help if they can. I made some life long friends in those 3 years.
I live in Atlanta and love this city. It’s actually very safe, has great pockets of awesome neighborhoods and some of the best food. This guy knows very little about our city other than stats he’s read online. Also, the weather is great here. We have 4 distinct seasons that are perfectly balanced- never too hot, never too cold.
okay but number 8 is wrong?? some of the areas outside of atlanta are reaaallly good (alpharetta, johns creek, milton, east cobb etc.) also in these areas are some really good schools even on national standards. alpharetta high school is in the top 2% of national high schools and most of the other high schools are pretty high ranking.

Now when he serves-out his sentence at the age of EIGHTY-EIGHT,and touches down in Detroit again,he might have a few months of life remaining to muse upon the fact that the Prosecutor will never even OFFER you a deal for a 2nd-degree murder sentence IF he had ANY permissible EVIDENCE to convict you ON the 1ST-degree murder rap you were NOT convicted on in trial approaching THREE years of witness testimony and investigation!!! Give a fool enough rope...
First of all the whole state of GA is not Atlanta i was born in Atlanta but i grew up about a hour away in the country....You won't get genuine southern hospitality in Atlanta like you get in the smaller cities like Savannah..... the outskirt cities where the country people are it's way more quiet, enjoyable, and peaceful...But i advise that if you are not coming for the real southern lifestyle or country living then don't move to the south at all.
#8 is completely wrong... You act like just because georgia is southern, that must mean everyone is a conservative/has racist views. Also, places outside of atlanta are pretty modernized. it is not at all “backwoods”

There are good and bad parts in every city. Atlanta has more good parts then bad. Coming from a country town in SC, I think Atlanta is the best place to live in the South.
Avery Patterson I totally agree
If you're planning on moving to any city do not let listen to anyone else. Everybody, S journey is different. Life,s about experiences so go for it.
Harry Hippy On Point!
I’m from Atlanta. If where you came from is so great. Go home.
Delta is ready when he is...
While no place is "perfect", ,Atlanta has a lot to offer. I live in Midtown Atlanta, and it's one of the best places to live in the city! If you don't like Atlanta, bless your heart! :)
You mean if you are 🏳️🌈 🌈
Oh... the transplants.
I been in Atlanta for 47 years. We are full go somewhere else
I live in Atlanta, GA. And I wouldn't wanna live anywhere else :)
Why do people think Atlanta is all of Georgia?
Rise up brother
“Bless your heart” is a southern saying, it isn’t just for Atlanta:)
We have the busiest airport in the world, Atlanta Connects all flights comming from Africa, South America, And if you want to get to anywhere else your most likely to pass through here
The hospitality is phoney.... It has more to do with noseyness for gossip.... I know I live here.
RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No it's not phoney. I'm from Ga, and I am traveling all over the country. What I've found out is the southern hospitality isn't found in the West . We are truly sweet and caring ppl in the south. Love the country in the west, just gorgeous and I thank God I'm able to see it but nothing compares to Georgia's manners and southern hospitality. Bless your heart. 😏
Bless you my beloved message me up I have messages for you from gods and the ancestors
Oh yes, never trust Southern hospitality. Southerners are tops at little white lies. I know, I'm Southern. 😁
It's not phony. Move west and you'll see for yourself in no time
Things you forgot to mention...
1. Sprawl - everything is SUPER spread out and it takes FOREVER to get even a short distance at times
2. Pollen season - it thoroughly coats everything yellow and exacerbates allergies and headaches
3. Poor mass transit - for a major city like Atlanta, Marta is absolutely despicable
4. Racism - The KKK STILL has rallies in downtown Atlanta regularly
5. No water - Seas/Oceans/Lakes that usually make a city nicer are totally absent here
6. Poor/No Sidewalks - while it is improving gradually, many areas still aren’t walkable
7. Inflated rent - too many places charge like its prime beach front property............it’s not
8. Sports - The teams in Atlanta aren’t bad per se, but they definitely leave you wanting more
9. People - not all, but still WAY too many here have a TERRIBLY over-inflated sense of self that doesn’t at all match what they have to offer. Locals know it as “Atlanta-tude”
10. Not quite “there” yet - Atlanta is a city with a LOT of potential, but still has yet to fully and completely realize it. It just always feels like it’s on the verge of “getting there”, but not quite.

The KKK aint relevant any more dude.....who cares if they a rally ever once in a while, so do the Panthers, really, who cares ?
Being from georgia for most of my life, one huge thing you left out was spring. In the spring in Georgia there is a huge load of pollen, so much so that you can make letters on your car. We called it yellow snow.
@@Dman3827 yeah but the spring is just nasty
As a native ATLien, I have one reason for you: We are full. We are chock full. There are enough people here. Go away. During Thanksgiving weekend, traffic was the lightest I've ever seen it: because everyone else had gone back home.
I say this in half jest, of course.
Yes please stop coming to Georgia we don't want you hear anyways with y'all's negative asses
I don't know who this man is and I don't really care. He clearly does not have his facts straight. I have lived here for seven wonderful years and I love it! If Atlanta was so bad as he would lead you to believe people wouldn't be moving here like crazy. Atlanta a great place to live, we welcome you!!
Atlanta is better than most cities...
Bray den faxxx
Your not wrong
I live in florida now after living 18 years in Georgia. Here we are having 11 months of summer. Also georgia sucks with politics being one sided and the pollen, too much pollen.
And my comment about weather systems relates to politics how....?
@@jdraze9321 just addin on
just got back from a six day trip to Atlanta. Worst: Aggressive panhandlers, claustrophobic subway stations, everybody wants to share their rap with you
@Hello David Hollowood, How are you doing?
Why is this in my recommended BUT I live HERE
Łøñę On God though 😂
I know me too lol. This dude is messed up!!
The weather in Atlanta is so bipolar one day it’s 90 next day it’s 50 degrees
Sounds like ny
At least you don't get bored. 😁😂🤣
Ya I know I go to work in shorts and at night in full winter gear with shorts on
Wow no mention of the insanely high HIV/AIDS rate? Make sure to bring a loyal partner with you if you move here
Or get married 😏
They won't stay loyal...
Also there are a lot of homeless people here I’ve never seen so many before in my life
Come back. Lol
Come on! Chicago is the 3rd largest city in the United States 🇺🇸
lived in Atl all my life and I actually like it a lot here I just wish we’d legalize weed already
I am fine with weed.. but never any of the others. Weed is a normal plant.. it helps and relaxes.
Yeah Atlanta is great lived here my whole life but come on we need legal weed
That’s not a good idea. Never do w$$d
When you watch this video and you already live there
Lol me too
As a native Atlantan, this person is right. DO NOT MOVE HERE, STOP COMING
not even for a tour ? 🤔
I'm from the Atlanta area. You're wrong about the perimeter. Quite honestly, outside "The Ring" (I-285) is where the nicer areas are. Inside the ring is rather ghetto in most areas. Inside is where you're likely to get shot. The Hill Billy areas begin about 1 to 1.5 hours away from the ring.
i live in atlanta and i love it .
Kaitlyn Mayo me live un duluth
Ppl kill me complaining about Atl but won't nobody take their ass home. That's why traffic is so f'd up.
Traffic is messed up because city planers didn't do a good job.
Live in Vegas.
Highway goes East and West.
North and South.
Plus a beltway.
You can take the side streets.
It's not just about Atlanta Period. It's the part of Atlanta you live in. It depends in which area of Atlanta.
The traffic is because they are trying to get to the airport.
It’s the has the busiest airport in the world.
Cj Davis I work to the slight east of the airport and it’s about 5 minutes on the 285 to get to ATL.
good dont come. were fucking full
ryan m true true 😂
Preach!!!
As a person that lives in ATL, don’t move here, we already have too many people.
Thomas Carling not true is not like is a big city like nyc
Angel_Peguero you're right- its not as big, but it's bigger than it needs to be. It doesn't need to be any more crowded.
Angel_Peguero I’ve been to nyc, and it would be far more bearable to live there
Thomas Carling and it has 8.3 millino ppl atla has 0.8
Angel_Peguero that is only inside Atlanta city limits.
So many peachtree streets and I have yet to see an actual Peach Tree
Fr
@D20;actually California produces THREE times as many peaches a year as Georgia does,so all the peachtree signage needs to be done away with!!
You have to go further south for Peach trees
RUclipsr is dumb Atlanta has more opportunities than any southern state. Has the world's busiest airport. Try again. It's popular for a reason
Houston is in a southern state.
Feels like it's summer ten months of the year? Dude, what are you talking about? Transplants like myself get surprised as to how cold Atlanta can get. Not to mention when it starts warming up you'll literally get 40 degree swings in the same day.
Anthony Malik like today lol
Most people incorrectly think Florida when they think Atlanta. Atlanta has sweltering summers but its consistently 30 degrees in the winter and not uncommon to be in the 20s during the early AM. Then this time of the year its literally 32 when you wake up and 75 by midday. This guy's making it sound like it's invariably hot here which is absolutely false.
Yes. Please stop moving here! Our traffic use to be fine until the “Reasons to move here”. Two words: GO HOME!
PS. Take a friend with you.

Visiting Atlanta this week and it has been horrible. Food is good though. Can't wait to go back home to Miami.
Allen Godfrey, bruuuhhh Miami sucks
@@Landon_706 Definitely a better place to be than Atlanta. Not even up for debate. People vacation from around the world where I live.
Truth
1 reason not to come to Atlanta.
We don't want outsiders.
Hoskins2000 we don't want Outsiders that don't have common sense and home training because we do believe in and given rude southern hospitality.
Reason #1-10 WE FULL!! Stay where you are!!- An Atlanta native, piedmont hospital
Love it!

Bruv we have all 4 seasons in 1 day
That is so true!
Josellyn Kornegay 😂 lmao! I agree
Stop moving to Atlanta...we full
lol
+Diamonbeats hahhahahha! Tru!
Love Atlanta!!! East side of Decatur beautiful city
Falcon Nation Glenwooddddd 🗣
"Everything is named peach" *shows peachtree ST 5 times*
there's 5 Peachtree streets
I live in Atlanta and these are my top 5 reasons not to move here:
1. Crime is really bad
2. Housing is too expensive
3. Traffic
4. People are less intelligent than the national average of major cities (bad school systems)
5. Low paying jobs
1. That's just part of living in a city.
2. That's also part of living in a city.
3. That's also part of living in a city.
4. That really isn't true. The vast majority of people are dumb regardless of the quality of school.
5. What?
Yes, try LA
“Expensive housing?!” Bless you’re heart, try ANYWHERE west coast from Phoenix to San Francisco, anywhere people actually want to live, in other words.
Finally an accurate assessment!
Well bless your heart. Do us peaches a favor and don't move here if you don't like it.
Aleeya Hargrove THANK YOU I LIVE HERE HSHSJEVA
In the south, we say tardy and late interchangeably, its very common in my experience hehe
He is throwing alot of shade...
Tammy Franklin It’s because Atlanta is horrible
Me moving to Atlanta Georgia like 👁👄👁
atlanta and charlotte are the best in the south east anyone agree with me let me know now
Jerry Davis yea I live in Stlanta and went to Charlotte and I love both of then
I lived in both stayed in ATL 9 years went from Atlanta back to Tucker to Marrietta for I moved back to Ohio QC was fun
It is NOT hot in Georgia all year round! We're not living in a tropical climate 🙄
You suck
kecola thank you girl!
No, technically sub-tropical :)
kecola if anything we're hella bipolar when it comes to weather!
Do not live inside the perimeter. No. Get yourself out to the suburbs. Don't go anywhere near south Atlanta. Stay on the north west side.
I busted out laughing at "in Atlanta they have 2 seasons....Summer and Christmas". Having lived here for almost 26 yrs...yeah that's about right! 🤣
WTF😂
We got fresh air all day😊☀️🌃
As a atlanta native who lives in near atlanta, I can't agree more on the school part. The atlanta public schools are so shitty it's unreal
APS can't.
this mans really pulling these reasons out of his ass lmao I love living here
Leave my ass out of this.
Elizabeth Vershkov me too lmao
Elizabeth Vershkov same
Elizabeth Vershkov what part are you from?
I lived in Atlanta for 3 years. It wasn't terrible but it also wasn't the best either. The one thing I will say is the people are very friendly and always willing help if they can. I made some life long friends in those 3 years.
I live in Atlanta and love this city. It’s actually very safe, has great pockets of awesome neighborhoods and some of the best food. This guy knows very little about our city other than stats he’s read online. Also, the weather is great here. We have 4 distinct seasons that are perfectly balanced- never too hot, never too cold.
okay but number 8 is wrong?? some of the areas outside of atlanta are reaaallly good (alpharetta, johns creek, milton, east cobb etc.) also in these areas are some really good schools even on national standards. alpharetta high school is in the top 2% of national high schools and most of the other high schools are pretty high ranking.
emi mizuki exactly!
Dont move here! We full.

I moved here 6yrs ago from New Hampshire and i don’t regret it at all i love it down here
Where in NH did you move from?

NUMBER ONE REASON : WE FULL AND BEEN FULL FOR DECADES .
Quinn ' Dont worry...I dont want to move there. Dont need racism, snottiness, low wages, high STD and divorce rates, crappy schools, and racial shootings left and right. To people there...traveling means they went to Charlotte for a weekend 6 mos ago. We dont want YOU GUYS moving out of the South. PLEASE. We're glad you love it there. We're OVERJOYED actually. Just please, PLEASE stay there!

Jay Jay Im thrilled! Enjoy your racial shootings....better you guys than us!😎😎😎We dont have that problem. Dont bother complaining to us anymore....our ears are shut. Thats a problem you WANT, as evidenced by this dialogue. Embrace the Dylan Roof's out there! Allllll yours😊😊👋
You totally lied about the schools! There are good schools outside of Atlanta! Gwinnett County being one of them.
Daddy Dingus Bro I was born and raised in this community. Atlanta is not just the buildings and two feet away. The metro Atlanta area is fairly sized, Gwinnett county being apart of that.
Gainesville is phenomenal
Thats a bit far fetched Queen
i have to disagree my teacher went to sleep when i asked him for help and my school smells like an old mans middle toe
I live outside of Atlanta proper. You could not pay me enough to live within the perimeter. Crime and stupidity does not mix well.
Truly im sick of the crime myself if people would just leave others alone and worry about their own mess

@Steven Porter;I worked with a cool guy named Steve Porter in '96 building a Veterans Administration Hospital in Detroit!!
Lived in Atlanta since I was six it’s a great city but the traffic is horrible do not move here if you can’t stand more than a few minutes of traffic
@IdCare I have a business offer for you. Replay of interested.
First of all the whole state of GA is not Atlanta i was born in Atlanta but i grew up about a hour away in the country....You won't get genuine southern hospitality in Atlanta like you get in the smaller cities like Savannah..... the outskirt cities where the country people are it's way more quiet, enjoyable, and peaceful...But i advise that if you are not coming for the real southern lifestyle or country living then don't move to the south at all.
gapeach14 right
#8 is completely wrong... You act like just because georgia is southern, that must mean everyone is a conservative/has racist views. Also, places outside of atlanta are pretty modernized. it is not at all “backwoods”
