Wouldn't come back there if it was empty. I lived in ATLANTA for 7 years. I wish I could get those years back because I would have never moved there. A huge regret.
I moved to Atlanta in 2016, and left the very next year. The people are fake, they are all worried about impressing each out, it's hard to get around even if you have a car, everyone is judgemental, the weather is always bad, the jobs don't pay well, the cost of living is rising fast, and the traffic is constant. It's a great place to visit, but not to live.
I only work 3 days a week and can pay all my bills and don't live in the hood. You only have the problems you mentioned when you live in the hood and/or hang with the wrong people and chase thots
Antonio Green I too lived there and pretty much experienced what you said. And I lived in a decent area of Marrietta..Just didnt do it for me..and had a handful of gf from my home town who moved there before I did..
These aren’t good reasons. doesn’t every city have these problems every once in a while .. traffic, school problems, weather etc... but yeah STOP MOVING TO ATLANTA. We are Full!
I'm glad I never caught that Atl fever. You're now at 6 millions. That's 6 million folks that will never leave Atl. Good luck with that! It's only gonna grow higher.
It's soo many people moving from other places to Atlanta bc they couldn't handle where they were. To survive or COME UP. Which INCREASED the number of people WANTING AND NEEDING ASSISTANCE. Oversaturated

TonyMichael winters in Atlanta cannot compare to cold harsh winters up north. Granted you have your horrible cold snaps due to the higher elevation but your winters in Atlanta are nowhere near as long or cold as in the Great Lakes and upper Midwest, not even close.
Robert Preskop Who said I was even comparing it to the Great Lakes and that area the country I compared it to Connecticut which is up in the north east which is where I’m from and I know what the weather like up there and it is very similar to the weather down here in Georgia which is where I live now!!! Average temperature difference between Connecticut and Georgia which is what I was comparing it to was about 5° this past winter
I’ve lived in Atl all my life and was born in east side medical. The traffic is bad and the bugs can be crazy at points but not O.D. The heat isn’t terrible, it’s the humidity that really kills. I love Atlanta because you have two sides of the city. The complete utter city life where you can buy designer clothes, people watch, see you favorite artist, and so on and so forth. Or you can have a full on nature in-depth experience where you can climb up mountains that we have up in Kennesaw which is only an hour away from the city or go camping. It’s a lot of fun to be at and would completely recommend people to come down and visit and see what I mean
That's what I love about Atlanta and the metro area. I always say that it's the best of both worlds. When you want to experience the big city life, it's available. You want to experience small town or country living, it's also available. Even Fulton county has areas that have the country/small town feel despite being the county that Atlanta is located in. I live in Kennesaw, so I know exactly what you're talking about.

Traffic is messed up because city planers didn't do a good job. Live in Vegas. Highway goes East and West. North and South. Plus a beltway. You can take the side streets.
I live about 25-30 minutes away from Atlanta, but even I can agree with him on the traffic and piment bugs(aka roaches) seriously, my house at night is roach central to the point where I have a fear of them
Everyone is moving to Atlanta and Houston. I live in Houston and my husband wants to move to Atlanta and it’s like... why?? I feel like we’d just be moving and uprooting everything we have here to go to the same thing or Houston times 10. Also neither of us have ever even visited. He’s going purely off of what he sees on TV. I think it would be fun to visit but don’t really have an interest in moving.
Please don't move here ! Lol it's getting overpopulated really quick. I promise the traffic is terrible and 285 statistically is the deadliest interstate
Also, no hockey. Please move to my hometown of Huntsville, AL instead. We do have hockey, and we’re closer to Nashville. Go Havoc, Thrashers, and Preds! May the Jets never hoist Lord Stanley’s cup.
First of all the whole state of GA is not Atlanta i was born in Atlanta but i grew up about a hour away in the country....You won't get genuine southern hospitality in Atlanta like you get in the smaller cities like Savannah..... the outskirt cities where the country people are it's way more quiet, enjoyable, and peaceful...But i advise that if you are not coming for the real southern lifestyle or country living then don't move to the south at all.
We’re tired of everyone moving here anyway, we need to build a wall, ATL isn’t that great people so stop moving here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our quota was filled in the late 90’s
ATL kid 404, I don’t mind people moving here but don’t move here and talk shit about how it sucks and how much you hate it...ok then move your ass somewhere else! Like who told all these folks Atlanta was the place to be? Prime example, I know people who moved here from Philly, and talk major crap about how ATL sucks and Philly is so much better....like they bypassed a few states to move here like why? They could have chosen any other state like New York, Jersey, Tennessee, Alabama, Carolina, Florida...I’m like go the fuck back to Philly please and take your cousins with you
These really are palmetto bugs and they not the consequence from unsanitary, overcrowding conditions like NYC = no infestations. They only come inside usually when it rains. Fortunately, they die soon after maybe from the lack of moisture (unless you get rid of them 1st. ) Unfortunately, they make a really creepy noise when they crawl, are super fast and they can fly at times. Crazy to witness...
No it's not phoney. I'm from Ga, and I am traveling all over the country. What I've found out is the southern hospitality isn't found in the West . We are truly sweet and caring ppl in the south. Love the country in the west, just gorgeous and I thank God I'm able to see it but nothing compares to Georgia's manners and southern hospitality. Bless your heart. 😏
This is a joke, ain't it?Have you people once lost 100,000 in just 10 years? And only have 450,000 people? How the tornation can you say you all full?Oh I get it.You folks in Atlanta want to keep the population down.
I don’t like Atlanta nor Miami but I’m telling you Miami is a pretty poor place to live in. Bad neighborhoods, and also is in Florida lmao. It’s a beautiful city though.
@@Landon_706 Did you live in Miami? Have you seen Brickell? Miami Lakes? Sunny Isles? Far from poor. I happen to stay in Miami Lakes, no crime and you definitely cannot be poor to live here.
Allen Godfrey, you are paying much more than what you are getting out of quality I’ll tell you that. And again, Miami is in Florida. Nobody likes Florida lmao.
Feels like it's summer ten months of the year? Dude, what are you talking about? Transplants like myself get surprised as to how cold Atlanta can get. Not to mention when it starts warming up you'll literally get 40 degree swings in the same day.
Most people incorrectly think Florida when they think Atlanta. Atlanta has sweltering summers but its consistently 30 degrees in the winter and not uncommon to be in the 20s during the early AM. Then this time of the year its literally 32 when you wake up and 75 by midday. This guy's making it sound like it's invariably hot here which is absolutely false.
I love Atlanta. There is ALWAYS something to do and somewhere to go. My advice to anyone planning to move there, secure yourself a good solid job, and go there with as much money as you can put together. Its a place that sucks to be broke in. That applies everywhere, I’m sure, but it especially applies here.
I'm from the Atlanta area. You're wrong about the perimeter. Quite honestly, outside "The Ring" (I-285) is where the nicer areas are. Inside the ring is rather ghetto in most areas. Inside is where you're likely to get shot. The Hill Billy areas begin about 1 to 1.5 hours away from the ring.
Things you forgot to mention... 1. Sprawl - everything is SUPER spread out and it takes FOREVER to get even a short distance at times 2. Pollen season - it thoroughly coats everything yellow and exacerbates allergies and headaches 3. Poor mass transit - for a major city like Atlanta, Marta is absolutely despicable 4. Racism - The KKK STILL has rallies in downtown Atlanta regularly 5. No water - Seas/Oceans/Lakes that usually make a city nicer are totally absent here 6. Poor/No Sidewalks - while it is improving gradually, many areas still aren’t walkable 7. Inflated rent - too many places charge like its prime beach front property............it’s not 8. Sports - The teams in Atlanta aren’t bad per se, but they definitely leave you wanting more 9. People - not all, but still WAY too many here have a TERRIBLY over-inflated sense of self that doesn’t at all match what they have to offer. Locals know it as “Atlanta-tude” 10. Not quite “there” yet - Atlanta is a city with a LOT of potential, but still has yet to fully and completely realize it. It just always feels like it’s on the verge of “getting there”, but not quite.
lonman80 NAILED DA FUQ OUTTA DAT SHYT! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤙👏🤙🤙🤙👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👐👐👐🤛👐👐 U SAID rent is up there like "Beach Front property"....omg.... INFLATED...... SPOT ON!
This video is painting VERY broad, very inaccurate strokes about Atlanta. Ive lived in Ga my whole life, mostly outside the perimeter. Many suburbs of North Ga are affluent, diverse and well functioning places. Sure there are typical “southern” areas that maybe could be described as “backwoods” but thats becoming less and less common. Many areas are developing rapidly and have a lot to offer to people trying to get out of the busy city. On that note, the city of Atlanta is a cultural hub with a really awesome blend of new and young trends and some remnants of southern charm. Its diverse, modern and I love my city. This video is ass.
Atlanta is not that hot really. I come from Miami where you get 85 deg muggy ass weather in fucking November and December. ATL stays consistently between mid 30s and low 60s from October throughout March. It really gets hot in June and July though, but then gradually dies down, unlike Florida.
It doesn't matter what city you live in if you have bad vibes you will attract bad experiences. The opportunity for MANY great experiences are within Atlanta. The city is expanding by the day. Ponce City Market, The Beltline, The Westside by the New Mercedes Benz Stadium, SunTrust Park, Aquarium, Restaurants, Musuems, huge Malls, mountains, concerts, global conferences, movies and entertainment. If you mind your business then I wouldn't see why other people living their best lives would bother you. I have lived here in Atlanta for 17 years all over the city. There are good and bad parts in every city. Atlanta has more good parts then bad. Coming from a country town in SC, I think Atlanta is the best place to live in the South.
#8 is completely wrong... You act like just because georgia is southern, that must mean everyone is a conservative/has racist views. Also, places outside of atlanta are pretty modernized. it is not at all “backwoods”
Pretty much spot on. Been here 17 years and this place is a cesspool. Not saying other cities aren't as bad or worse, but Atlanta is not anything to be proud of.
I don't know who this man is and I don't really care. He clearly does not have his facts straight. I have lived here for seven wonderful years and I love it! If Atlanta was so bad as he would lead you to believe people wouldn't be moving here like crazy. Atlanta a great place to live, we welcome you!!
Atlanta is pretty much full of transplants from other states. Crime is mostly on the southside of Atlanta (one of the reasons the braves moved to Cobb county.) Agree that bugs are bad here. The people in rural Georgia are actually some of the nicest you’ll ever meet. They may look like roughnecks and give you a hard time, but they generally live by the golden rule (even if you try to impose your liberal ideology)
@Steven Porter;I hear that;my cousins stupid husband gets charged with the killing of some 16 year-old tough in 2006,and after over two YEARS in trial with no conviction, the Prosecution offers"dummy"a"deal"(a SURE indicator that they have absolutely NO evidence to convict you on the charge you're facing)for 30-FIFTY years behind bars and this IDIOT actually signed and TOOK the deal!! Now when he serves-out his sentence at the age of EIGHTY-EIGHT,and touches down in Detroit again,he might have a few months of life remaining to muse upon the fact that the Prosecutor will never even OFFER you a deal for a 2nd-degree murder sentence IF he had ANY permissible EVIDENCE to convict you ON the 1ST-degree murder rap you were NOT convicted on in trial approaching THREE years of witness testimony and investigation!!! Give a fool enough rope...
riteee all this is jus casual I feel like in atl nobody really think bout it once you live here accept maybe traffic becuz the traffic bad from so many people movin there and a lot of people can’t even get to work on time n shit. BUT OUR WEATHER WAS A WHOLE CAP OUR WEATHER IS THE MOST BIPOLAR SHIT ON EARTH LIKE IT BE COLD ONE DAY AND SCORCHING HOT THE NEXT LIKE IONN UNDERSTANDDD

We have the busiest airport in the world, Atlanta Connects all flights comming from Africa, South America, And if you want to get to anywhere else your most likely to pass through here
Atlanta school systems suck bc black folks don't prioritize education. Hence all the rappers. Rap and gang life is glorified and education is frowned upon. Culture has to change
I'm African American and I don't like rap or gang life. Who would've thunk it? I've always worked, have a degree, and never been to jail. Generalization is never good amigo.
@@henrylockett2020 but the truth is that is what’s plagued the black community. There are way smarter and more successful black people than me. Many many more! But it’s always the black community at the center of attention with education, job, and community lacking. in majority of cases… then it gets blamed on racism systemic oppression. Which isn’t even a factor in this day n age. But it’s used as an excuse
okay but number 8 is wrong?? some of the areas outside of atlanta are reaaallly good (alpharetta, johns creek, milton, east cobb etc.) also in these areas are some really good schools even on national standards. alpharetta high school is in the top 2% of national high schools and most of the other high schools are pretty high ranking.

If anyone were to move to Georgia I would suggest that they move about 45-90 minutes north of atlanta to Canton, Woodstock, Kennesaw, Cartersville, White, Roswell or Acworth. If you go to Jasper that's usually where things can get a little bit more "country", but for the most part Georgia is a pretty nice State.

Hoskins2000 we don't want Outsiders that don't have common sense and home training because we do believe in and given rude southern hospitality.
This guy know nothing about Atlanta only the traffic I agree.
Nicole Fluker i have to disagree. I live downtown, work downtown and was raised in GB. I think he was spot on.
I live about 25-30 minutes away from Atlanta, but even I can agree with him on the traffic and piment bugs(aka roaches) seriously, my house at night is roach central to the point where I have a fear of them
Yes, please don't move here. Stay north, stay west, and particularly stay way west. We can exist here without you.
I know Atlanta's is a northern city now they're ruining South.
So much for southern hospitality 🤣
Everyone is moving to Atlanta and Houston. I live in Houston and my husband wants to move to Atlanta and it’s like... why?? I feel like we’d just be moving and uprooting everything we have here to go to the same thing or Houston times 10. Also neither of us have ever even visited. He’s going purely off of what he sees on TV. I think it would be fun to visit but don’t really have an interest in moving.
@@pocahontas4583 lots of movies being made in georgia
I agree. I lived in Los Angeles and its HORRIBLE for SO MANY REASONS!!!
I’m from Atlanta. If where you came from is so great. Go home.
Delta is ready when he is...
Who live in ATL 💪💪
So many peachtree streets and I have yet to see an actual Peach Tree
Fr
@D20;actually California produces THREE times as many peaches a year as Georgia does,so all the peachtree signage needs to be done away with!!
You have to go further south for Peach trees
RUclipsr is dumb Atlanta has more opportunities than any southern state. Has the world's busiest airport. Try again. It's popular for a reason
Houston is in a southern state.
First of all the whole state of GA is not Atlanta i was born in Atlanta but i grew up about a hour away in the country....You won't get genuine southern hospitality in Atlanta like you get in the smaller cities like Savannah..... the outskirt cities where the country people are it's way more quiet, enjoyable, and peaceful...But i advise that if you are not coming for the real southern lifestyle or country living then don't move to the south at all.
gapeach14 right
We’re tired of everyone moving here anyway, we need to build a wall, ATL isn’t that great people so stop moving here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our quota was filled in the late 90’s
Bextar636 don’t forget your toothless ass cousins from West Virginia, they want to be apart of the opioid crisis
They could have chosen any other state like New York, Jersey, Tennessee, Alabama, Carolina, Florida...I’m like go the fuck back to Philly please and take your cousins with you
Palmetto bugs? Buddy where I'm from those are roaches
The hospitality is phoney.... It has more to do with noseyness for gossip.... I know I live here.
RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bless you my beloved message me up I have messages for you from gods and the ancestors
Oh yes, never trust Southern hospitality. Southerners are tops at little white lies. I know, I'm Southern. 😁
It's not phony. Move west and you'll see for yourself in no time

Visiting Atlanta this week and it has been horrible. Food is good though. Can't wait to go back home to Miami.
Allen Godfrey, bruuuhhh Miami sucks
@@Landon_706 Definitely a better place to be than Atlanta. Not even up for debate. People vacation from around the world where I live.
Anthony Malik like today lol
Most people incorrectly think Florida when they think Atlanta. Atlanta has sweltering summers but its consistently 30 degrees in the winter and not uncommon to be in the 20s during the early AM. Then this time of the year its literally 32 when you wake up and 75 by midday. This guy's making it sound like it's invariably hot here which is absolutely false.
i live in atlanta and i love it .

Stop moving here... We're full.
Harrison Levy FACTS
I love Atlanta. There is ALWAYS something to do and somewhere to go.
My advice to anyone planning to move there, secure yourself a good solid job, and go there with as much money as you can put together. Its a place that sucks to be broke in.
That applies everywhere, I’m sure, but it especially applies here.
Truth 💯
I'm from the Atlanta area. You're wrong about the perimeter. Quite honestly, outside "The Ring" (I-285) is where the nicer areas are. Inside the ring is rather ghetto in most areas. Inside is where you're likely to get shot. The Hill Billy areas begin about 1 to 1.5 hours away from the ring.
Yeah don’t move here we’re full!
Jessica De La Cruz thank you we been full and ready for a lot of people to go back to wherever they came from
Mostly new Yorkers
Things you forgot to mention...
1. Sprawl - everything is SUPER spread out and it takes FOREVER to get even a short distance at times
2. Pollen season - it thoroughly coats everything yellow and exacerbates allergies and headaches
3. Poor mass transit - for a major city like Atlanta, Marta is absolutely despicable
4. Racism - The KKK STILL has rallies in downtown Atlanta regularly
5. No water - Seas/Oceans/Lakes that usually make a city nicer are totally absent here
6. Poor/No Sidewalks - while it is improving gradually, many areas still aren’t walkable
7. Inflated rent - too many places charge like its prime beach front property............it’s not
8. Sports - The teams in Atlanta aren’t bad per se, but they definitely leave you wanting more
9. People - not all, but still WAY too many here have a TERRIBLY over-inflated sense of self that doesn’t at all match what they have to offer. Locals know it as “Atlanta-tude”
10. Not quite “there” yet - Atlanta is a city with a LOT of potential, but still has yet to fully and completely realize it. It just always feels like it’s on the verge of “getting there”, but not quite.

The KKK aint relevant any more dude.....who cares if they a rally ever once in a while, so do the Panthers, really, who cares ?
“Bless your heart” is a southern saying, it isn’t just for Atlanta:)
Yeah, please stay the hell away from my city. Y’all brining’ enough riff raff here!
yea really, we have enough people here as it is
The weather in Atlanta is so bipolar one day it’s 90 next day it’s 50 degrees

Avery Patterson I totally agree
#8 is completely wrong... You act like just because georgia is southern, that must mean everyone is a conservative/has racist views. Also, places outside of atlanta are pretty modernized. it is not at all “backwoods”
Pretty much spot on. Been here 17 years and this place is a cesspool. Not saying other cities aren't as bad or worse, but Atlanta is not anything to be proud of.
Just think his it seems to me. Burn and raised here. After 4 decades, I had to leave.
I don't know who this man is and I don't really care. He clearly does not have his facts straight. I have lived here for seven wonderful years and I love it! If Atlanta was so bad as he would lead you to believe people wouldn't be moving here like crazy. Atlanta a great place to live, we welcome you!!
The traffic is because they are trying to get to the airport.
It’s the has the busiest airport in the world.
Cj Davis I work to the slight east of the airport and it’s about 5 minutes on the 285 to get to ATL.
Bruv we have all 4 seasons in 1 day
That is so true!
Josellyn Kornegay 😂 lmao! I agree
Agreed. I live in cobb county and i visit atlanta every so often. Big difference between city folk and the surburbs
Yeah we full. Stay out
I been in Atlanta for 47 years. We are full go somewhere else
We don't want y'all here 😂😂😂
I live outside of Atlanta proper. You could not pay me enough to live within the perimeter. Crime and stupidity does not mix well.
Truly im sick of the crime myself if people would just leave others alone and worry about their own mess

If you go to Jasper that's usually where things can get a little bit more "country", but for the most part Georgia is a pretty nice State.
