Just bought myself a Creality CR10S Pro V2 because all i see on youtube is the most smoothest and flawlesly unboxing and imediately perfect working 3D printer without any problems that makes the most reliable and perfect prints you can imagine. I want to install the printer so perfect, read the manual before from A to Z and backwards so that i'm not going to make any mistakes, then looked for another dozen unboxing and installing tips on RUclips and finally after 2 days i managed to install my printer without a problem in no time. But then.................I turned it on and................... you guess; ...... trouble started; The printer went down on the bed and made a really ignorant noise like metall that is bending ..... and it did bent (or is it benD??). The Nozzle was in the middle of the bed and was going down while the BLTouch Bed Leveling Probe was hitting the bed first, 2 times to be exactly, and then get up again before it came down without anything in the world could stop it. It really hit my Bed very hard and before i knew what was going on and powered off the machine, there was alot of damage. I have tried to recover the damage and went on, with the believe it was my own fault because i was so stupid to trust something to work right out of the box. But whatever i tried and how much video's i watched before making another attempt; the damage is getting worse and worse. BTW, after leveling it always says that Z=29,9. But the nozzle is only about 15 away from the bed. So now i have a completely brand new CR10S Pro V2 that is not working (and the bed is damaged, without warranty as i understood).. It really drives me crazy and i'm desperately in need of help. Is there anybody, preferebly in the Netherlands, that can help me please????? Thanks in advance, Gerard
Did you calibrated the Z axis height (distance from your printer housing to Z axis with extruder) to 20cm (or 10cm I don't remember) with included piece of plastic ?
Perfect explanation and demonstration video, thank you so much. This was the first video I watched to get the procedure to level the bed "properly". I got one of these from a good friend and did not have any manuals or anything. I know from past experiences with other printers about bed leveling with the paper trick, but all the measurement numbers and auto-leving of this one really confused me. Keep up the great content friend! P.S. I did not have a 0.2 mm gauge so I just used a cardstock flyer from the mail and it ended up working out great too 👍🏻
You dont need to adjust with cold table and then with hot table. I think adjusting with hot tabe AND hot nozze is enough. Nozzle needs to be hot too for two reasons. 1 it expands too, 2 you can easily cut any excess material easily that could result in faulty measurements
I did this 4 times exactly as you did and it's done nothing, nozzle is still too high. Do you know why? Or if you have a video showing how to fix this ?
Great tutorial - BUT. So I haven't used mine in a while, haven't moved it, but after watching a few of your videos (EXCELLENT, by the way), I thought I should level mine again. In following your steps, I could not get enough adjustment in the rear - both of them. Then it dawned on me. I tightened my adjustments all the way, then loosened them about 2 turns. Then, I did the measurement. Then repeated your steps again and it worked great!
I've got this exact same machine, but I can't get the nozzle closer to the build plate, even though ALL of my corner tension screws are totally loose. I even uses the black flat piece of plastic. I need help really bad.
I would suspect many print beds like mine have the center dipped whereas the 4 corners can be several mm higher. After leveling 4 corners, my center nozzle was still way too high.
I bought my 10s pro v2 used. I didn't get that leveling block. Could you please tell me the dimensions? It's not going well, any help would be appreciated.
Replacing the springs with solid spacers would probably be are a good investment for ABL printers so I hear because it removes the need to adjust the bed because the level should always be the same I'm going to buy some for my ender 3 pro and see if I can get my Bl Touch working on it.
My brand new printer: tap levelling icon, head lowers, touches sensor, sensor retracts, head rises, sensor drops. Head lowers, touches sensor, sensor retracts, head rises, sensor DOES NOT drop. Head lowers and wants to drive thru bed. Hit power. I’ve tried about 20 times with the same result.

For some reason whenever I start a print (bed is perfectly leveled) the nozzle lifts up and when it comes back down it doesn’t go far enough down. So it’s printing on air, I cannot find a way to stop this from happening
So what you need to do is 2 things- lift your whole bed higher, re-level, and also edit your z offset a bit (not too much). when you level your bed on the lowest level it goes this issue can happen( i myself, been there, done that)
What is the best starting point to level the bed? Should the 4 adjustment wheels be tight, loose or in the middle? I’ve tried all three and keep ending up running out of adjustment space and hit a limit of how high or low I can move the bed.
Hiya, not sure if you can help me here. So I levelled the bed using the .2mm metal piece and it was perfect. As soon as I start the print, it raises the nozzle in the air again miles away from the bed... any ideas? What am I doing wrong?
I had this problem too. Look for your z-axis offset. It is a setting that adjusts the nozzle up and down from where bl-touch detects the bed. Move it down a bit at a time so you don't damage anything.
I do all the adjustments you say. Get the bed real nice and then right before it prints it makes one last leveling adjustment on its own and makes the nozzle too high. Please help.

So the naming is misleading. I agree with you. Essentially the user still levels it. What the “auto leveling” tool does is calculate the minor unlevel areas and compensate for them when printing to get even better prints
Hi, great video. I just wanted to ask you if you have any issues with the x axis. I mean if it gets unleveled and if you have to level it again. Thanks

When I try to adjust the bed the wheels underneath are all the way loose almost before the nozzle hits the measuring tool. I keep twisting them up halfway, adjust the cross beam to 100mm and then start leveling and the wheels underneath always adjust to almost loose when leveling. How do I fix that before I start ripping my hair out?
Not sure if you've resolved it yet but I had the same issue. I got my printer a week ago. The nozzle wouldn't get close to the bed even with bed adjust up high. Found out my BL touch probe was stuck, pulled it down and it changed colors. The auto level started working and lowered the nozzle all the way to the bed. Now my bed is as low as it will go to keep the springs tight, no issues since. Hope this helps.
i had to do .1 and for some reason it still was too high for printing any ideas my esteps are set for my extruder its printing but i usually do a bed level with a .1mm and do a level test and i adjust the z offset when its doing that till theres no material trying to pull up any ideas on why i have to do it this way?
I have this, I did everything in your video, I have the same printer, Problem is I do all for corners and when I am in the middle it is still too low. I also upgraded to the glass bed Creality offers. What do I do if the middle is too low but the other 4 corners are perfect?

Waterwoodglue mix on Glas help a little bit, but leveling is terrible. Paintertape the same. Objekt will Lose contact together with Tape!!! Thats not funni to work

Hello. I have a new CR 10S PRO V2. After successfully manual leveling and doing the 25-point check, I try to print, but the nozzle starts to extrude PLA a few millimeters above the bed. Does anyone have an idea why that is?
@@chrisrowles843 we did. After you manual level and start your printing, you can adjust the height of the nozzle by clicking on the "adjust" option and changing the Z-axis. It may take a few tries to get the right height, but that's what you have to do. We also found that adding glue stick to the bed helps with the first layer sticking. Good luck!

When you level the bed, the nozzle immediately gets close to the bed for you to fine-adjust. I just got the printer, and in my case the nozzle stops probably 15cm over the bed.. How can I get it closer to the bed? I cant lower it enough with the “z-offset”. Thanks :-)
Anton Talks Tech Thanks for your quick reply👍 If you ask if I have leveled the z brace with the 100mm block, then yes. While the printer is on and also off. It seems like it doesnt care what height the brace is set at
Anton Talks Tech When I lower the offset in the leveling menu, it moves down in 0,1mm steps. At some point I can’t lower anymore - it’s like it reaches a max. At this point I’m still way too far from the bed - even with the bed raised..
Does anyone have difficulty adjusting the z-axis leading rods using the black plastic piece? The left leading rod of my printer is always lower. I assume it's due to the weight of the printing head. When I release my hands after turning the rods, it will slightly turning back by its own weight, unless I hold the rods while clicking the screen to move on z-axis so the motor becomes on and locked. Once I turn off my printer, it seems to be going back to be tilting. So does it mean that I have to calibrate it every time after I turn off my printer?
the printer compensates when turned on for the nozzle head weight a bit. no, you should not have to level it every time. using the black piece, make sure both sides of the rail have same amount of height and that should be good
Nice Video! Made my first prints today! I’m impressed as it is my fist 3d printer. What is a acceptable difference in the 25 calculated points? Thank you in advance 👍🏻
Dkhalesi are you referring to the numbers you see after leveling? To be honest- I don’t refer to those at all. I simply make sure there is equal strain from nozzle to bed on all 5 quadrants and know I’m level. Been using that method for 5 months now with no issues!
Anton Talks Tech thank you for your reply. Yes I was referring to those numbers:) Good to now. Was looking for a reference for those numbers! I couldn’t wish for an easier printer as a noob :) just started a 28 hour print...
I have followed all the steps in here and have the 4 corners perfectly level. My issue is My bed itself is not nearly flat. I can't get the center to be the same as the edges. I would think that having the bed levelled on the edges would at least get me a good level bed and the auto bed-levelling would account for the center being a bit higher but no matter what I do, the prints near the middle on the first layer are too high in comparison to the edges, even with auto bed levelling before the print. any ideas? I have a new glass bed coming in which should fix the problem but I feel like the bed level compensation isn't being done. anyone else experiencing this? This is brand new.
@@pedrocarvalho2070 Yes. still same issue but not as noticeable. i resulted in putting a few layers of tinfoil in the middle to raise it up. i have a whole new issue which you may be exoperiencing also. my first layer always prints approx 0.2mm too high. i adjust my offest to account for it and the first layer prints great but then as soon as i hit the 2nd layer, it digs into my first layer so i have to go in and adjust my z height back. then the rest of my print is mint. I am probably just going to return the printer and get a new one.

I had that issue when mine initially as well. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions
@@AntonsCreations Hey, I recently got this 3D printer and i am also facing the same issue.
So does it mean that I have to calibrate it every time after I turn off my printer?
the printer compensates when turned on for the nozzle head weight a bit. no, you should not have to level it every time. using the black piece, make sure both sides of the rail have same amount of height and that should be good
You could also try tightening the nuts for the bearings on that side. Mine came a little loose which caused that side to sag when the printer was off.

I couldn’t wish for an easier printer as a noob :) just started a 28 hour print...
may i know what do you call that card board stick ??
Try lowering your z offset making sure the middle is perfectly level first, and re- level the bed - on all corners
I've the same problem. There's no use lowering your z offset. Did you already try with your new glass bed?
@@pedrocarvalho2070 yes. it's not as noticeable but it is still different
I had the same problem Creality is sending me a new bed.
My nozzle just automatically goes into me bed ? Any ideas ?
ruclips.net/video/ufA0Eu6MzEY/видео.html this one should help
Excellent video. I am thinking of picking up one of these machines some time to add to the collection. I really like those bed clips. Where can I get myself a set of those?
Keep up the good work!
Thanks! And the metal ones on outside? Those actually came with my printer. Not sure if sold separately
If you don't minded get things from China these are the clips www.banggood.com/2PcsPack-UM2-Stainless-Steel-Build-Platform-Glass-Retainer-for-Heated-Bed-3D-Printer-Part-Reprap-p-1366878.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN
thank you
how thick is the feeler gauge for the CR10S Pro V2 ??
.2mm I know this is from a year ago but I hope this helps.
does paper work?????????????????????????????
can it print with nylon? or it need to be upgraded?
Im not sure..i have no experience with that material
I’m waiting for the same printer in couple weeks and planning to print with PLA and nylon
Valera Yurchenko it does PLA Perfectly
It's still not working for me no matter what I do
I followed all of ur steps, and everything seems perfect, but when i hit home and the z axis is at 0 the nozzle digs right into the bed. Any ideas?
Ace.tundra yes, actually! Sounds like you need to change your z offset- in simple terms- go to leveling screen and next to “z” keep pressing arrow up until the nozzle is not IN the bed. - but home - then re-level your bed. I had that issue when mine initially as well. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions
Anton Talks Tech sorry about the late reply, but that’s exactly what it was! Thanks a bunch man!
@@AntonsCreations Hey, I recently got this 3D printer and i am also facing the same issue. I leveled the 4 corners properly but when i test the center, the nozzle is very close to the bed (not able to slide 0.2 metal piece). I went to leveling and raised z so that the nozzle was not touching the bed. However doing this affected the corners as now the nozzle was a bit higher in the corners and was level in the center. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks
@@hrithiksoni2986 I also have the same as you. And raising the z axis to compensate for the middle which is touching the middle is going to throw off the sides to ~.4mm now
Is there a better way to fix this? If not, I am going to return it
Johnson Ng i flipped the metal bed and it seems to have fixed the problem for me. You could flip the bed or just buy a glass bed. Seems like the bed provided is not perfectly flat
Auto Level works excellent… just rtfm….
Mathias
not work bad tutorial.😢
Very confused man, very confusing video
