What do you mean by not talking to the audience but talking to the audience

I think they mean instead talking at the audience, talk to the audience like you’re having a conversation with them.

Born into an age of dirt, we stood atop a lonely tower. Watching as the spring fell and winter rose. The warm breath of tomorrow's birth, the cold breeze of day's passed. Feeding a mind of mad daze and broken dreams. Oh where to find peace but within? Where to find truth, but within. Oh hear this young mind, The world wants only chance. Chance of love, chance of life, chance to change.

I write poetry in a weird way. I have a problem with identifying what I'm truly feeling so I use poetry in a way to get across what I'm feeling when I have no words for what it is. I get inspired very easily just by hearing or reading a certain word or hearing a certain sound.

I would like to help you channel your thoughts easier. Get a notebook. Write all your thoughts and feelings down every day. Don't worry about spelling or if your thoughts run together or if things sound bizarre, just write stuff down exactly as you think it. You have to get in practice of letting your thoughts and feelings flow outward. Soon you should find it easier to write stuff down...hope this helps

A good practice for writing spoken word is to brainstorm on paper but instead of using paper use your mind and tap in and out of emotions for example when you tap into a emotion you got from a negative or trying experience think about the experience and write the emotion down then tap into a joyful or happy experience and think about how you felt inside of that experience and write that down and alternate back and forth tap in to one and out in to the next and every time you tap in before you leave out grab an emotion and take it with you now it don’t exactly have to be an emotion it could be something related to that emotion such as tears or sleepless nights anxiety fear etc in regards to negative emotions and as for the emotions of positive experiences it could be the same as follows the characteristics of the emotion such as words like my heart smiles, or rhythms played so loud I can hear angels tap dancing in mist of crowds of clouds which maybe the reason while I sing quiet shouts of rejoicing echoes that allows me to smile sooo loud but yeah you get the message I hope and pray that this helped you⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙏🙏🙏blessings blessings to you and your family and yesss free yourself threw your art and expression and just know by you freeing yourself you will help countless others peace

It's interesting to know how other people create their poetry.I write so differently. So, I usually start with a line or two in my notes then I keep revisiting it and building up the poem until it feels right. That way, my title comes last most of the time because I have no idea what the finished product is going to sound like. This was enlightening

I think it's kind of about the person. When something happens to me I write it down in form of a story. It comes natural for me to do it that way. When I came home once and I saw a poster that had fallen off my wall and I knew it was because family members fighting, I wrote that down as thing I could add to a story. When I had a panic attack I wrote that down in form of a story and replaced my name with my character's name. I think people have different ways to easily express themselves and kinda get things out. For you it's perhaps easiest with spoken word poetry and for me it's easier to write it down as a story plot of some sorts. idek lol. I really love your videos keep it up

I've been trying to write some recently whenever I get inspired, but I wasn't really sure what I was doing or if I was doing it "right." All this info is super helpful and encouraging. Half way through, I actually went back and started taking notes. Thank you! :)
I've been watching spoken word on RUclips for around 2 years and always found it to be so moving and inspiring. In the past few months, though, I've realized that I actually want to do it. I think for a long time it seemed just like another lofty hard to reach thing to add my long list. I think I've seen so much of it and seen so many different styles that now I feel like it's not so much an exclusive club, but an open community that anyone can join. It's wonderful to have that confirmed and get some great tips as well!

Really enjoyed this. I wrote a bit of spoken word last year, but I haven't in months. Usually a line came into my head and then it was quite literally word vomit. I've been wanting to get back into it, but I think like you mentioned in this, I was just thinking too much about it and have put too much pressure on myself. Great video, Taz. You are really the best ❤️
You inspire me so much and I really admire your work and what you do ❤️
I took some of your ideas and I wrote a poem ❤️
    He's not talking, he's silent
But I can hear his voice
    He's screaming,shouting
Telling himself that his not good enough
That he never done something right
    He's telling himself to die
But, I can't see his mouth moving
He looks like his paying attention
But his not, his really not
All he does is he has a fight with himself
He's eyes have no sparkle like is no life inside
He's skin is paler that ever
    He's dead
    He's dead from the inside
    But you don't pay attention
You are just asking "are you ok ?" Widouth carrying about what's going on
You just want to be polite
    Because who cares about him
    He never speaks
He's just that silent kid in the corner
The one that once had his spark
The one that was once happy
    But not anymore
    And how cares
He never asked you if your ok did he ?
He was never as polite as you are
Maybe because he doesn't know how to do it
Maybe because no one really cares about him
And maybe just maybe because his only that silent kid from the corner
You think that he didn't know what's going on
You think that his just there for no reason
You really think that he is nothing
    He's a no one, don't you think?
    He is someone,
He might be the first person on Jupiter
Or he might me the next president
    But he'll never be
He'll just be the next suicidal story on the news
He's just gonna be one that will be forgotten
Like every single one of them
    Hope you'll like it ❤️❤️❤️
