+Selena Rodriguez YES!! I used to eat at CCF all the time when I live in Missouri as a vegan. I'll have to bring the oil-free specialists with me to inspect all items on the SKINNYLICIOUS menu ;) Thanks for the suggestion
+Basic Vegan Bitch They don't put that much oil in the rice. There's only 4g of fat in the rice if you check their website. That isn't much at all compared to the 22g of fat from guacamole.
The beans have oil in them. I order oil free chipotle at my local restaurant an hour in advance. I just talked to the manager and she said as long as they know an hour prior they can make a special batch! I have them rinse my beans under hot water too to get rid of the oil.
Yeah they put the same rice bran oil in the beans as they do in the rice 😝 so disappointing, but I'll it's still a good treat that's better than most "fast food"
that's alot of damn work for one mean. oil here and there isn't gonna hurt you. if I had to go though all that just to have no oil I wouldn't even bother ordering from there. just go to the store and get the stuff yourself.
Oh wow, literally watching this my mouth is watering! In my California vlogs I haven't included our Chipotle trip yet but we have footage of it in all its glory to edit & post soon! :) My husband & I greatly miss Chipotle! Why do they not have one in Canada where we live?! *tears* lol
Yum! I love chipotle! Thanks for the video. Also, where is your hat from? I have been struggling to find one like that not made of wool. Not sure if yours is but it is way cute :)
Girl boo. If you're going to chipotle eat all the foods you want to eat. It's one day. When you go home you can make everything healthier. I don't believe in making healthy choices at restaurants like that. You're vegan, that's good enough. Damn live a little!
you and mr and Mrs vegan should do a vegan road trip series, I remember when I would drive from phx to California and I didn't have time to pack food I would have to get food at a chain, but never knew which one would be the best or have the best options! You could do all the tough ones: McDonald's, Taco Bell... The best video as well would be if you included what you take on vacation with you as backup food!! I saw Mrs vegans snapchat of quick oats and stuff on snapchat and it would be so helpful to see a haul! xx
+livshaw So funny you mention it because Mr. Vegan is editing a series of our Southwest Road Trip!!! It's like we just read your mind. You can watch the first installment here: ruclips.net/video/XdoVr3hoJlY/видео.html The next two are coming next week!
I've only had Chipotle three times! First time like 10 years ago, and then a couple months ago. I just started being vegetarian and ordered the Sofrita two days ago! I didn't realize how much oil they still put in..
Hey BVB!! Great video! I have a question: Shouldn't the oil in the rice be a good thing? I thought that going vegan meant that you don't need to stress about oil because without animal products you would need a certain amount of fat in your diet and oil would provide that. I am thinking about going vegan so this is one of the things I am confused about.
+PROPERTY SOLUTIONS ATL oil is processed and not natural. you can get your fats from whole foods like nuts and avocados. there is also fat in oats and rice. Check out Mr. & Mrs. Vegan WSLF or anything by Dr. McDougall, Forks Over Knives, etc. There are plenty of plant-based doctors who say NO to oil ;) I went vegetarian, then vegan then oil free in the span of 7 years. take baby steps! don't stress about oil if you are still eating dairy and meat LOL you got bigger fish to fry ;) GOOD LUCK!
+Laura Perez IT'S SO LITTLE! I actually just ate there tonight and the rice wasn't that oily either. Don't trip over it. There is far worse things you could be eating. I also just realized their pinto beans are vegan too. Hooray!
ikr it's kind of annoying how some hclf vegans are so obsessed that they deprive themselves of healthy fats :/ i used to be hclf but im so glad i stopped it feels so much better to just be able to eat anything as long as it's vegan
Right!? I seriously don't get this mentality. Avocados, walnuts, cashews, almonds, pecans, flax, sunflower seeds and even olives are fatty and freaking amazing for the heart and brain! Plus guacamole is one of the most delicious things in existence.
I think she's referring to those that are trying to lose weight this way. Having avocado is fine, but if you're really trying to lose stay off until you hit your goal or do it very sparingly.
You really don't understand. For people who want to maintain their weight or lose weight like me, we don't eat any avocado or high fat things. Some people have to work a lot harder at keeping the fat down to lose weight
The guy saying there's 2 cups of oil total is a liar! It's one container = 2 cups while it's cooking and then another container = 2 cups after it's cooked so total = 4 cups of oil. There's also a ton of oil in the hot sauce and on the fajitas. I worked there for 3 years. It's extremely oily and salty. EVERYTHING.
I’m sorry but as a chipotle employee this is not oil free. The beans all contain oil ://// I eat a whole foods plant based diet so idek what to eat there. The mild salsa also contains almost 500 mg of sodium as well.
I just went on to Moe's site. WAY less fat. NO fat in their rice, beans do have 1g of fat :( ...but it seems mininal. Then all the veggies you want. :) I'm doing Moe's!
+Basic Vegan Bitch The rice isnt that oily either for brown rice they put 1 cup of rice bran oil for 30 quarts of rice so also not much but no oil means no oil if thats the aim
ive only ever experienced the rice being more oily than the beans. at the end of the day it's all vegan and thank god your not eating a cheeseburger LOL
Seems a little obsessive to avoid the rice altogether because it's prepared with oil. It's not like it's a high fat food for goodness' sake. I can understand not getting greasy meat or drizzling oil on top of your bowl but yeah, this makes hclf seem unrealistic. And frankly, what you ended up with was a salad. Not what most people think of when they go to Chipotle :/
this is supposed to show that people who follow WSLF can eat out with their friends at mainstream places. I'm not saying it's a perfect meal by any means, but at least it's something to order if you are in a bind. Go watch "oil the vegan killer" on YT to understand why oil is not the best thing for you. if you don't mind the little oil in the rice, go for it.
omg yess!! Definetely check out grouse mountain, maybe go up to Whistler for a day trip (it is beautiful and so many nice hikes) and make sure to stop at Porteau Cove, Stanley park in downtown Vancouver and obviously check out the shopping in downtown Van! also there is an amazing vegan high tea place (not low fat but delicious) and so much more!!
if you have anymore questions or anything just let me know I'm from Vancouver but just live on the island (victoria) for university :) Also you'd probably love victoria and its only a ferry ride away :)
It's as accessible as McDonald's because it's owned by McDonald's :/ love the video though. I don't understand why they need that much oil in the rice let alone at all!
+gabsofruitly Mr. Vegan and I looked at the ingredients and the amount of oil in the beans is so small that it's not worth it to stress over. If it worries you, then don't eat a Chipotle more than once a month or so. Oil is not going to kill you, just avoid it for maximum weight loss. ;)
ugh that's disappointing! I had the rice from there before I knew it was drowned in oil :'( go to veggie wrap for the next video! (I think it's called that?)
beans have such a little amount of oil that it's not worth worry about and our diet is so low in sodium that it's ok to have a high sodium meal every so often
+alba roque that's why you should really eat out in moderation. I'm just letting people know that if their friends invite them to lunch at Chipotle, they can still go and have a mostly healthy and cruelty free meal. :)
Can I eat chipotle burrito with rice once in a while or do you think its really bad for me?? I am a new vegan but I really want to eat chipotle burritos and not that into the salad😭
+Annie Rooker haha what do you suggest? we realize that it's not two cups of oil on the rice per bowl, but the rice is visibly oily. i have had it before and used to eat it all the time. The oil in the beans though isn't a big deal since it is so miniscule. Obvi all oil is vegan, so if you're not on WSLF/HCLF then oil it up ;)
I love chipotle😍😍😍😍😍 I love my sofritas. Good video. I subscribed. Thanks for sharing.
sweet thank you! glad you liked it!!
+Basic Vegan Bitch Thanks again for sharing 👍
i love these kinds of videos!!! can you please do cheesecake factory next? also, i'm so sad about the rice ugh :(((
+Selena Rodriguez YES!! I used to eat at CCF all the time when I live in Missouri as a vegan. I'll have to bring the oil-free specialists with me to inspect all items on the SKINNYLICIOUS menu ;) Thanks for the suggestion
Omg why on earth do they add so much oil to the rice?!! That's insaaannee
I know I'm so shocked !
+Anya Sophie I know, isn't it awful??? I asked him if he could make some without the oil, and he said no :(
+Basic Vegan Bitch They don't put that much oil in the rice. There's only 4g of fat in the rice if you check their website. That isn't much at all compared to the 22g of fat from guacamole.
***** good point! def skip that guac!
Basic Vegan Bitch instead of eating "quac" or w/e just eat a damn avocado
please do more hclf at popular food chains!
+Relectrod OK will do ;) woo hoo!
haha serving for family of 4 = one vegan
+Erin Kimbap YUPPPP!! :D
The beans have oil in them. I order oil free chipotle at my local restaurant an hour in advance. I just talked to the manager and she said as long as they know an hour prior they can make a special batch! I have them rinse my beans under hot water too to get rid of the oil.
Good tip! Thanks for sharing 🙃
Yeah they put the same rice bran oil in the beans as they do in the rice 😝 so disappointing, but I'll it's still a good treat that's better than most "fast food"
EXACTLY ;)
that's alot of damn work for one mean. oil here and there isn't gonna hurt you. if I had to go though all that just to have no oil I wouldn't even bother ordering from there. just go to the store and get the stuff yourself.
i have no idea what you are talking about... what work? seems pretty simple to me.
Oh wow, literally watching this my mouth is watering!
In my California vlogs I haven't included our Chipotle trip yet but we have footage of it in all its glory to edit & post soon! :) My husband & I greatly miss Chipotle! Why do they not have one in Canada where we live?! *tears* lol
chipotle is my fave!!! where do you guys usually go?
thats not oil free rice thats rice free rice
😂😂😂
"It's called going to church and praying for ur sins" LOVE THIS GUY 😂
No guac????? I'll never give up that!!! It's a natural fat..i don't see how that could be bad in moderation..
+Brianna Thompson it's not, just avoid it if you are trying to lose weight. if you are maintaining, avocado in moderation is A-OK.
That looks yummy. I know I commented on your old man hat!! This one looks stunning.
Wow!! This is so good to know! Thank you!!!!
you are totes welcs :)
Yum! I love chipotle! Thanks for the video. Also, where is your hat from? I have been struggling to find one like that not made of wool. Not sure if yours is but it is way cute :)
i got it from a resale shop! i am trying to shop more vintage these days. go watch the true cost. so eye opening!
Girl boo. If you're going to chipotle eat all the foods you want to eat. It's one day. When you go home you can make everything healthier. I don't believe in making healthy choices at restaurants like that. You're vegan, that's good enough. Damn live a little!
yeah true! good advice, thank you :)
True but iff your used to not having oil in your diet and then you reintroduce it, it can spike your blood cholesterol levels :((
I love your videos!! Question though. With winter approaching I need a good cruelty free ugg boot! Do you have any recommendations.
look at the chipotle website, there is rice bran oil in the black beans
yes but it is very minimal. if you want absolutely no oil, eat at home lol Mr. Vegan said it is OK, so i am going to side w/ him on this one.
you and mr and Mrs vegan should do a vegan road trip series, I remember when I would drive from phx to California and I didn't have time to pack food I would have to get food at a chain, but never knew which one would be the best or have the best options! Oh man this is so cool didn't know the black beans at Chipotle are oil-free 😀
I've only had Chipotle three times! First time like 10 years ago, and then a couple months ago. I just started being vegetarian and ordered the Sofrita two days ago! I didn't realize how much oil they still put in..
yeah its a same!
He looks like Tom Felton!! And that guy beau from the Janoskians 😂
LOL too funny!
So helpful! I love chipotle💜
+Clarissa Vegan yay glad you liked it!!!!
we love your videos! keep up the amazing work! we didn't get to meet at vegfest :(
we met at beefest tho :) thanks for your support!
This is good to know. Had no idea they put oil in their rice. Beans are oil free right?
the beans have a trace amount of oil in them BUT it's nothing to worry about ;)
And they have sofritas
♡ favorite! ..so sad they don't have Chipotle where I am in Canada! :(
+The Vegan Wife wow lol I don't know how I'd live 😂
Those have oil and 770mg of sodium per serving. If ur a whole foods plant based eater it may not be the best choice :(
the beans are doused with oil too, fyi.
check their website for a list of ingredients 👍
+Brittany White we know :) the oil is so little i wouldn't worry about it. mr. vegan said it's OK :D
the beans and rice all have rice bran oil in them according to Chipotle website.
the bean amount is far less than the rice, so i would not worry about it :)
Why did you not eat the guacamole? Do they put oil in the guacamole?
Panera bread!!
YES! that's where we want to go next for sure!
Omg omg omg looks amazing!!
and it was!
LOVE tobasco, I think I'm the only crazy vegan that prefers it to sriracha.. lol
hot sauce is life!
Hey BVB!! Great video! I have a question: Shouldn't the oil in the rice be a good thing? +Basic Vegan Bitch thank u so much!!! That really helped!!
YAAAAY :)
I loved this video! But I thought their black beans have oil?
+Laura Perez IT'S SO LITTLE! I actually just ate there tonight and the rice wasn't that oily either. Don't trip over it. There is far worse things you could be eating. I also just realized their pinto beans are vegan too. Hooray!
fatty guac... is that a joke? XD Its an avocado, Its healthy fat
ikr it's kind of annoying how some hclf vegans are so obsessed that they deprive themselves of healthy fats :/ i used to be hclf but im so glad i stopped it feels so much better to just be able to eat anything as long as it's vegan
Right!? I seriously don't get this mentality. Avocados, walnuts, cashews, almonds, pecans, flax, sunflower seeds and even olives are fatty and freaking amazing for the heart and brain! Plus guacamole is one of the most delicious things in existence.

I believe she's just explaining to the OP that some have to limit their fat intake. Ummm, what don't YOU get about it? LOL
I didn't realize how much oil was in the rice!!
I will definitely get double beans instead of rice from now on.
or TRIPLE BEANS!! lol yeah it's pretty sad
Do the beans not have oil in them? If you go into the ingredients statement on chipotle's website it says it does...?
+Romy Leyon yes but the amount is SO SMALL that it will not make an impact ... don't sweat it!
EVERYTHING.
wow that is insane!!
I've looked up their ingredients and the Guac seems to be oil free 😊😊😊😋
from now on im making my food at home homemade nowhere else but home
YUMMMMM eating vegan at Chipotle is the best!!
breakfast lunch and dinner for sure!
2 cups of oil/ how much rice though? definitely not one serving hahaha i don't really eat oil but it'd be good to know
I’m sorry but as a chipotle employee this is not oil free. The beans all contain oil ://// I eat a whole foods plant based diet so idek what to eat there. The mild salsa also contains almost 500 mg of sodium as well.
You should go to blaze pizza or a pizza place next
+Clarissa Vegan oooOOooOo I
yay its so good! You'll love it!
According to Chipotle's ingredients statement their black beans have oil as well www.chipotle.com/ingredient-statement
i am never going there again for a burrito ill make it at home
Yikes 2 cups oil! We could run a car off of that... RIP precious rice.
just remember, moderation is key! it's not two cups per serving, but it would be WONDERFUL if chipotle just eliminated the oil all together
Does Qdoba work similarly?
I just went on to Moe's site. WAY less fat. NO fat in their rice, beans do have 1g of fat :( ...but it seems mininal. Then all the veggies you want. :) I'm doing Moe's!
Wouldn't the beans & corn have oil though? Lol
+Amanda the Vegan According to the Chipotle website, the beans have rice bran oil.
+Hugo Zuniga Exactly, so why be so worried about the oil in the rice? Haha
how hard is it to not cook without oil i do it all the time i can caramelize veggies without using oil cook rice without oil!
The black beans have oil in them as well unfortunately. The only things that don't have oil at chipotle are the salsas and lettuce.
the oil is not that prevalent in the black beans. i would not worry about it! it is such a small amount. The rice though is oily.
The beans have oil too !!!
ugh tht sucks tho i dont wanna pay 7 bucks for beans and greens
I feel ya! Tho $7 feels like a steal in LA 😂😂
Seems a little obsessive to avoid the rice altogether because it's prepared with oil. It's not like it's a high fat food for goodness' sake. Haha, I used to work at chipotle nobody takes measurements that includes the salt content.
TACO BELL!!!
they put oil in everything! ness and i went to dell taco instead ;)
I used to work there and there is oil in Everything except the lettuce. :/
It sucks
I'm not sure if these are just canadian brands! but try oil free vegan at Earls, Cactus club or Browns Social House :))
Sounds like I need to come up to CA and see what's uppppp
umm yes pls!!! Come to vancouver or victoria!! you'd love it :)
im thinking of planning a trip to vancouver with my mom!! do you have any recommendations?
omg yess!! Definetely check out grouse mountain, maybe go up to Whistler for a day trip (it is beautiful and so many nice hikes) and make sure to stop at Porteau Cove, Stanley park in downtown Vancouver and obviously check out the shopping in downtown Van! also there is an amazing vegan high tea place (not low fat but delicious) and so much more!!

check out this video: ruclips.net/video/LbtwwZP4Yfs/видео.html
Holy crap that's a lot of oil!!!! No more chipotle rice for me!!!
+Plant based living by Annie it's ok in moderation, still vegan AF! ;)
It makes me sad to think of Mexican with no rice . At least there is a filling option
at the chipotle here you can order plain rice. pretty sure its oil free.
+princess peppers amazing... where is this??
Michigan :)
damnnn im moving!! lol
i feel really depressed right now im just really having a bad day and i cant take it anymore
I didn't knew Chipotle put 2 cups of oil 😵 I'm shock.
always checking my weight on the scale daily and it never moving down to 170 just wont come down anymore and this is why its because of chipotle.
It's as accessible as McDonald's because it's owned by McDonald's :/ love the video though. I don't understand why they need that much oil in the rice let alone at all!
Chipotle cut their ties with McDonald's years ago (:
i think they use the oil as a preservative!
Can you try el pollo loco? :)
what would you suggest ordering there??
WHY EVEN ADD OIL TO RICE
idk it just makes it more expensive for the company anyways
holy crap 😭 that's so much oil!!!!!!
i thought they put oil in their beans too though!
They do!
+gabsofruitly Mr. Vegan and I looked at the ingredients and the amount of oil in the beans is so small that it's not worth it to stress over. If it worries you, then don't eat a Chipotle more than once a month or so. Oil is not going to kill you, just avoid it for maximum weight loss. ;)
also try to eat vegan at Taco Bell and Dairy Queen (the hardest places I could think of)
Dairy Queen 😂😂😂😂
2 cups on oil!?!?!

+Rody In JapanTv I live in LA but would love to collab if you come here!!

HAHA let me get right on that ;)

I thought they put oil in the beans?
not enough to worry about
and they were not able to change the recipe
ugh that's disappointing! I had the rice from there before I knew it was drowned in oil :'(
go to veggie wrap for the next video! (I think it's called that?)
+EllaEats veggie grill???
what about sofritas
Beans have oil and the majority of the food is high in sodium.
beans have such a little amount of oil that it's not worth worry about and our diet is so low in sodium that it's ok to have a high sodium meal every so often
dont the beans have oil?
+Taylor Marks oops just looked at other comments and saw the answer!
+Taylor Marks yeah beans in oil is so low I wouldn't worry about it.
2 cups oil in rice no wonder i didnt lose weight the weight i need to lose thats absolutely crazy i am so
disapointed in myself haaaaa!

its ok! i ordered rice and beans the other day too! you can't be perfect all the time :D
your so awesome thanks (:
its making me feel fat and obese already haa so disappointed in myself for eating this meal of 2 cups of oil
they're food still has a ton of sodium its not just the oil that is unhealthy
+alba roque that's why you should really eat out in moderation. I'm just letting people know that if their friends invite them to lunch at Chipotle, they can still go and have a mostly healthy and cruelty free meal. :)
i'm pretty sure the beans have oil too :(
not enough for us to care about... it's listed almost last on the ingredients list which means it is very little
extremely high salt though
Isnt that just a salad??
+Naz Akın just trying to make it work over here ;)
Can I eat chipotle burrito with rice once in a while or do you think its really bad for me?? I am a new vegan but I really want to eat chipotle burritos and not that into the salad😭
omg please eat it with rice every once in a while, not that bad!
+Basic Vegan Bitch thanks💖
If THIS is your vegan bowl at Chipotle, you're doing it wrong, sorry.
+Annie Rooker haha what do you suggest? we realize that it's not two cups of oil on the rice per bowl, but the rice is visibly oily. i have had it before and used to eat it all the time. The oil in the beans though isn't a big deal since it is so miniscule. Obvi all oil is vegan, so if you're not on WSLF/HCLF then oil it up ;)
ugggggh WHY would they put oil in rice...dumb
Family of 4???? Where???
That seems like alot of oil in the rice...yikes
the rice is noticeably oily
Dude... that is insane! So much oil in the rice, not needed at all... ew.
agreed! the rice leaves you with an oil high you wouldn't believe LOL
McDonalds. Haha, jk, jk
+Amanda Brindle I accept your challenge!
+Basic Vegan Bitch but nothing in McDonald is vegan! even their fries!

Basic Vegan Bitch I heard that their seasonings contain insect 😨
oh geez!! wth. i will investigate further.
