I don't know why but Nicole pouring some of her coffee into Trevor's cup was so genuinely moving. She's a sweet cream lady and I love her.
As a former store assistant manager of a pizza hut, the cinnamon rolls come frozen in a big bag within a big box from the same distribution center as the rest of the pizza dough so it really wouldn't surprise me if they did have the recipe changed slightly for the hut brand. It doesn't have the brand name Cinnabon anywhere on it except for a TIIIINY print on the box label and the frosting is a cream cheese frosting that comes frozen in individual pouches in a big box with the same type of labeling as the rolls. The reason they are squished like that when you get them is because when we do prep, we put them in those little trays and then let them thaw out in the walk-in fridge along with all the other prepped dough and veggies and thawing cases of cheese. At least at my store and all the stores in my district, we used the breadstick pans to proof them so there would be two paper trays per pan and the way you are supposed to bake them is each individual order in a half pan (a pan the size of a single order of breadsticks rather than a double order like what they are prepped in) and then you put a lid over the tray with holes in it to be nice and crispy on the outside. But if you ordered a double order (depending on who was on shift) they would bake them both in the same pan they were proofed in with a solid lid on them so when they come out, they look half baked and still pretty raw looking. Just fun facts :)

I'd bet the dough recipe is closer to a pizza dough to bake in the conveyor oven the pizzas are done in. When I worked at a Hungry Howie's and had dessert pizzas, we'd take a medium dough ball, make it long like bread sticks, cover it in the apple and streusel and basically make a strudel out of it in the store. Was killer

Didn't some relative take the corgis when the Queen passed, but then a few months later asked for the royal household to take them back, because they were too much work, so now they live with some random employee.

@@tohon my nearest Cinnabon is about 50 miles away from my house, we don’t even have a Carl’s Jr anywhere around us because I’m in WNY. I would have to either make a 2 hour road trip or just make them myself and I just don’t feel like baking right now inside the house,it’s been 85 outside. Will I ever get my hands on cinnamon rolls. Cinnamon Rolls is probably one of my favorite comfort smells ever. There’s something just nostalgic about the scent of baking cinnamon rolls that feels like coming home and getting a warm hug from your grandma.

My grandmother in NM used to make green chile/sausage rolls, so delicious.
So the Hut rolls are a licensed cinnabon product that shows up in a big ol cinnabon crate full of little frozen rolls. I think the cream cheese frosting is generic slop that also comes in frozen but Cinnabon has been a good partner. They're a lot less control freak about serving their product than say Nabisco was when we had those vile little Cheez-It things.
I have legit gotten Cinnabons for my b-day parties instead of cake. They're so dang good.

As an ex-manager at Cinnabon, I can confirm the dough is sent frozen and we thaw it and roll it out😂 but to be fair, the minis are sent frozen 100% made by a machine

they used to make cinnabon fresh in the store, that was their whole thing. we made the dough, the frosting, everything from scratch. nowadays they're frozen and shipped in and virtually no store makes it in store anymore

At my local mall the Cinnabon kiosk shares the same space and Auntie Anne's pretzels, and I both saw and confirmed with employees that the dough is the same for both.
Frontier restaurant in Albuquerque (and now the Golden Pride restaurant that is the only remaining place I think) had these incredible dirt cheap decadent “guilt free” cinnamon rolls. Guilt free being because they didn’t have icing. But that cinnamon sugar butter soaking every inch sure brought the guilt. 😋

McDonald's had the "cinnamon melts" and those were very similar to cinnamon. I also like the cinnabon sticks at Sonic. And they have a cinnabon thing at taco bell too.
The 1st time I went to the US I bought Mini Cinnabons, they really are good and have the perfect size.

1:25 I'm the same way with honey buns, I only found out when my mother had 2 or 3 boxes in the pantry and I ate all of them in one sitting. Honey buns are my weakness and is part of the reason I used to be 300ish pounds. Glad to be 200-210 now though.
When I was a kid in Louisiana back in the 80’s and 90’s, there was a stand-alone Cinnamon place called TJ Cinnamon’s. I remember them being awesome, but I used to be a fan of Spaghettios also
I'm late to this video, and I'm sure someone has said this already, but I worked at Cinnabon for years and we forsure did not make our own dough. The buns came frozen we just thawed and baked them, and the frosting came pre-made too in giant vats.

Native New Englander here. I agree that the donuts at Dunkin are the worst, even in Massachusetts where you can sometimes find 3 franchises in one intersection. I wish I were joking. Still, I must come to their defense on one point. That was not a cinnamon roll; it was a coffee roll. It's a completely different thing and can't be compared to a cinnamon roll. I rarely see these outside New England so maybe that's what has led to the confusion. Dunkin has enough to be ashamed about without having this added to their record. That being said, I am fully addicted to their blueberry iced tea. They do have a few winners.

Can confirm, the Pizza Hut cinnabons come frozen in a big bag. The Pizza Hut employees just take 6 out, put 'em in the tray, and run 'em through the pizza oven. Then add frosting when they come out.

The Pizza Hut Cinnabon are likely being sent through the same oven, and settings as the pizza. Hence the drastic change in texture. Also explains the whole 'made by Cinnabon, delivered by Pizza Hut'.
